Strawberry Jam :)

Good afternoon all!
I know, I know......it's 4.35pm on a Saturday so where is my Less Is More Lucky Dip 'FRUITY' challenge entry?! Well unfortunately I had to work at 8am this morning, and then had to mow the lawn before Jen came over for some crafting time so this is the first chance I've had to have a go! And here it is.....

The stamp is from another magazine freebie called Fairies of the Season, can't remember which mag though. I have gently coloured it with chalks and mounted it onto a red panel. Gingham ribbon is the perfect finish to the card I think :)
Now going to try and find my mojo to make a load of pre-ordered cards!
Bye for now!

Christmas in July

Merry Christmas everyone!
Hehe nothing like making a Christmas card to put you in the festive mood, even in July! And 2 posts in one day!

This lovely image is one of the new Christmas images from Pollycraft and is coloured with Promarkers (what else?!) I've embellished with Flowersoft, star gems, glitter, ribbon and Glossy Accents. Oh and a couple of handmade pressies, some old backing papers and a sentiment from Craftwork Cards. I have designed this to look like a living room......hope that comes across!
I am entering my card into the following challenges......
Bye for now! :)

Buttons!

Hey everyone!
Well I am determined to get my mojo back this weekend, so I thought I would start by using my new Stampin' Up Sizzix folder I got from Vicky after she used hers to create this fab card for last week's Less Is More challenge! I have obviously made my card to fit this week's LIM challenge which is Button/s and/or Ribbon.

It was as simple as cutting out the buttons in 3 colours, embossing a framed strip across the card and adding the buttons with silicone glue. Easy! :)
I do love this button folder and I can see me using it alot, thanks Vicky! :)
See you all later!

Crafting For All Seasons challenge #6 - Beach/Ocean Theme

Hellloooo blogland!
Well I am really hoping to get some serious crafting in this weekend! I have had such a busy time recently that I haven't had chance to craft, and when I have had time, I've been too tired and just want to chill out! So this weekend, I am going to try and get some serious cardmaking done! :)

In the meantime, here is the card I have made for our 6th challenge at Crafting For All Seasons, which is......

The image is from our sponsor for this challenge, Some Odd Girl, and they are giving 3 digis to the lucky winner!
I have coloured her with Promarkers, Downloaded a Google image of sand for the backing, and used a sheet from a paperstack from Holland for the DP. I finished with my bunting, and the sentiment from LOTV.
Thanks for looking, and hopefully I'll have plenty to show for myself next week lol!
I am entering this card into the following challenges......
Sunday Sketch & Stamp - #65

Ooh La La DT card

Hey all!
Well what a weekend I've had! I was at a wedding on Saturday and it was fabulous! The bride, Nikki, looked totally stunning and the venue (Holiday Inn, Bolton) was a lovely setting for it. The weather was great too! SO as a result, I forgot to post this with my DT card for our challenge at Ooh La La Creations this week, which is

As you can see, it is a waterfall card, made with a template and images from Ooh La La Creations Shoes In Bloom CD-ROM. There are some fab tutorials on how to make these on YouTube!
Hope you like it and can't wait to see your entries! :)

Saturday 23 July 2011

Good morning all!
Well I am off to my friend Nikki's wedding today, and I need to nip into town as I forgot to get some earrings to match the rest of my jewellery doh! Then off to the hairdressers, then quickly back and dressed...plus got a 3 year old to get dressed in a suit he doesn't want to wear lol!
Anyway, just time to fit this little card in this morning for the new challenge over at Less Is More which, this week, is Button/s or Ribbon!
So I used both!

I've had this green ribbon lying around for a while now, really wanting to use it and so I made it into my flower, and added a random green button from a load Jen gave me! I doodled the stem and the sentiment in fineliner. It's just a quicky for now, as I won't be able to enter again til Tuesday now as I have a lot on til then!
By for now LIMettes and have a wonderful weekend!

Awsome Circles!

Hello on this (for a change) bright and sunny morning!
I have quickly rustled up this card before I get on with things today. I have actually made lots of cards over the last few days but can't put them on just yet as they are either DT cards or cards for friends that I can;t blog til they've received them in case they see them on here!

The stamps are Making Memories 'Just Chillin' stamped in silver Encore ink onto some circles I make out of scraps of card. The background is created by rubbing the same silver ink over it in circular motions......quite effective I think! I was going for a 'grungy' look and I think I got it! :)
This card is, of course, for Less Is More Circles challenge!
Right, off to get Keiran's hair cut!

Thank You circles!

Good morning all!
I have just quickly made this card for the Less Is More challenge of Circles. I needed a funky Thank You card anyway and I have never managed to make frames with my Nesties, mainly because I've been a bit scare of experimenting with my Joy machine as it jerks and kicks back alot. And I have had absolutely no 'joy' (no pun intended!) in getting it fixed or replaced! Anyway, I threw caution to the wind this morning and tried it with the magnetic mat I bought months ago and have never used! Here it is.It was inspired by Lynne's entry I saw when I was commenting the other day. Thank you Lynne! :)
All the card is from my extensive stash and I positioned them all on the card where I wanted them, then used Glossy Accents and a cocktail stick to add bits of glue here and there to glue them down. Then I just stamped my greeting! Easy but very effective, I think! :)
See you soon....got my 2nd driving lesson shortly!

Butterfly Wedding

Good Morning!
Ok I know, another butterfly lol!
This is a commissioned wedding card and the brief was blue and butterflies. So this is using a Craft Robo file I bought from Crafts U Print (the link is at the top of my page) and a Spellbinders die along the bottom.

I also used a fancy corner punch and finished with gems.
Tip - I couldn't find exactly the right colour shimmery card so I printed blue onto white shimmery card by insert a shape into a Word document and colour filling it!

This is another entry into

Thanks for looking! :D

Less is More wedding

Hello LIMettes!
I made this card Saturday night for my friend's Mum to give her on her Wedding Day next Saturday...I hope it qualifies for this week's Circles challenge. When I made it, I felt it did but now I'm not so sure if it really is LIM enough......

Anyway, the image is a stamp from LOTV and I've coloured her with Promarkers. The circle is cut using Nesties Eyelet circles die and then embossed with a Sizzix swirls and stars embossing folder. I finished with gems, glitter and ribbon from my stash. The sentiment is computer printed.
I hope you like it! When I gave it to Nikki's Mum, she had tears welling up as she thought it was so beautiful! I've never had a reaction like that before!
Well......more wedding cards to make now! :)

Just a note to say......

Good morning again LIMettes!
I have just made another card for this week's Less Is More Circles challenge as I had a flash of inspiration! I never seem to use any of my gorgeous paper stacks and, whilst commenting on the other wonderful entries last night, I noticed a few ladies had, so I decided I should maybe try it too! And here is my card......

The DP's are Sweet Owl from First Edition (the 8x8 pad) and the sentiment is Papermania. That simple! :)
Hope you like it!
Right, off to work again! On a rainy day like today, and while Keiran is at his Dad's, I would love nothing more than a craft day! Oh well.......

Footballing Page Boy

Good morning all!
Here is a little Thank You card I made for my friend Nikki to give to her Page Boy on Saturday when she gets married!

The image is yet again a Pollycraft image and is coloured with Promarkers, and the grass was coloured in chalk. The papers are freebies from Shabby Princess and the sentiments were pc printed. The sketch is my own 'design' lol!
I'm entering the card into the following challenges......

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree

Goooood morning all!!
Well what rotten weather it is here this morning! Although, it means that when I'm back from work later I can have a totally guilt free, craft filled day! :))

I was at the first showing of Harry Potter last night and wow! It's fab! Kind of sad that it's all over though...

Anyway, back to Saturday morning and it's time for the Less Is More challenge which this week is Circles! I have decided to give a stencil that I bought last year an airing for the first time!

I think it's a Dreamweaver stencil and I basically drew in each circle with a pencil then filled with glue pen and glittered with varying shades of glitter. Very simple but I think very effective. And quick! This will probably be another design for sets of cards this year!

Anyway, off to work and then got lots of cards to make for orders...4 wedding and a 65th birthday card!
Have a great Saturday all!

CFAS challenge #5

Hello all!
Here is my DT card for our 5th challenge over at Crafting For All Seasons, where the theme is
FURRY FRIENDS!
I suspect there will be an awful lot of entries into this challenge this week! The challenge is sponsored by Di's Digi Downloads and the prize is 5 digis or 2 Polymer stamps of your choice! So come and join in and show us your fab creations!

The image is from Di's and I've coloured him with Promarkers and my Copic Blender pen. I will try and post a tute on how I did the 'fur' on my bear at some point. Basically, you colour a patch on a plain tile or bit of acetate with your chosen colour, then use the Copic Blender as a paintbrush, dipping into the ink and brushing onto the image.

I picked the bright colours for his trousers because I used to have a pair like them when I was a chef! The backing papers are just from my stash and the sentiment is Papermania.
Hope you like it and can't wait to see your creations! :)

Miss you!

Hey LIMettes!
Ok this is my second entry into the LIM challenge this week. I'm going to send it to a special person I'm missing just now ;)

Like my previous entry, I have coloured this with shimmer paints and watercolour pencils. The stamp was a freebie from a magazine.

Hope you like it, and I may be back later this week with another entry! :)

On A Bike Ride

Good afternoon Crafters and Bloggers!
I spent this morning trying to put this card together, which, for an idea I had, seemed to take forever! I couldn't seem to cut the papers the right size and ended up confusing myself lol! Then I got silicone glue on the ribbon so I had to pull it all apart and add new ribbon! Ahh well......here it is, finally!

The gorgeous image is from Pollycraft and is coloured with Promarkers. The papers are freebies from Shabby Princess and the sentiment is LOTV. The ribbon is from my stash but it's possibly from Craftwork Cards. I'm entering it into the following challenges......
Pollycraft - The Great Outdoors
The Sweet Stop - Sketch
Here Come The Boys - Sporty
One Stop Craft Challenge - Summertime
Do It With Digis - Spots, Stripes or both
Ladybug Crafts Ink - Summer Birthdays
Totally Gorgeous - Summertime

Thanks for looking and have a nice evening! :)

LIM one layer with legs!

Hello LIMettes!
I have had the most fab weekend with friends at a festival in Werchter, Belguim, hence no entry to this challenge until now! But now I'm back, here it is......

This image is from the free Fairies of the Seasons set that came with Cardmaking &Papercraft mag a few months ago. It's the first time I've used any of them, and I rather like them! They are quite simple to colour as they are so small. I coloured mine with the free shimmery paints from one of the mags, and watercolour pencils for her skin and hair. I finished with some white flock mixed with glitter and a sentiment. I think I might do a few of these as packs for this year's Christmas markets :)

I am also entering this into Craft Your Passion - Just For You, Stamping Scrapping Challenge - Simple and Winter Wonderland - Red and Green Must Not Be Seen

Ooh La La Challenge #84

Hello all!
Well I have returned from a fab weekend in Holland and Belgium visiting friends and going to an awsome festival featuring Simple Minds, Texas, James Blunt and Bryan Adams....just fantastic! I may post a couple of pics tomorrow.

But for now, I am posting my first DT card for Ooh La La Creations. The theme for this fortnight is Tag It.

I decided to make a DL easel card and used my image and backing paper from the fab Carnival of Colour cd, available here. This one is called The Cyclist and this particular image is from an A4 sheet of 3 toppers. The sentiment is one I had in the stash :)

I hope you like it and look forward to seeing your wonderful creations!

Celebrate Stars and Stripes Teepee card

Hello all!
How are we? I have missed my blogging and cardmaking the last few days.......I've just been so busy! Anyway, I have actually made 3 cards today, although I can only post one of them as the other 2 are my DT cards for next week's challenges :D
So here is the one card I am posting for now.

This last photo shows earrings that I have added to make the card into a gift card. The image is from Pollycraft (I love these images!) and I have coloured her in with Promarkers. The backing papers are from Pink Petticoat, the ribbon and stars are from my stash, and the earrings were cheap from a jewellery shop that was closing down a while ago.

I am quite excited by how this card turned out as it's the first time I have attempted to make a card like this and I love it! :D A brilliant tutorial for making this card can be found here at The Crafty Pad

The challenges I am entering this card into are below......
The Crafty Pad - A particular style of card ie; easel, shutter, etc (thanks for the fab tute!)
Ladybug Crafts Ink - Summer Birthdays
Divas By Design - Die Cuts and Punches
Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes

Thanks for taking a peek and hopefully see you here again soon! :)

EDIT 10th July 2011 - I just got Top 3 at The Crafty Pad for this card! :D

LIM New Baby Boy

Hi all!
Well I don't seem to be being very productive this week....what with the garden, visitors, and work, and the weather was so beautiful yesterday that I decided to just enjoy sitting in the garden for a change! So I'm not getting much done lol! But the weather is due to change today so back in the craftroom I shall go!

I did manage to make a card for the Less Is More colour (shades of blue) challenge yesterday though.

I started by cutting the little feet border with a punch, then mounted it onto some blue gingham ribbon, and added a couple of folded bits as tags. Then I rubbed chalk onto the card in various shades of blue and finish by handwriting 'pitter patter' in blue fineliner.

Hope you like it and hope it rains soon so I can justify a day inside! ;)

LIM Birthday

Good evening LIMettes!
Wow what a day! I have been at the market all day, which was very successful by the way, and then work this evening so I have only just managed to make my LIM card for this week's colour challenge, which, for the 'not yet LIMettes' reading this, is shades of blue. I didn't get chance to make as many cards for last week's challenge as I wanted to either......something I shall attempt to remedy this week, though I have 10 cards ordered from my market today that I need to get on with!
Anyway, here is my first card......

I started by punching the border with an MS punch., then chalked through the flowers onto the inner of the card. I used 2 shades of blue Dovecraft chalk for this, then a lighter shade for the front of the card. The sentiment is stamped using Sky Blue Versacolour ink and I chalked the edges of the sentiment. This was supposed to be stamped straight onto the card, but it smudged so I had to 'fix' it! I finished with a small piece of organza ribbon and some pearls.

Hope you like it...I am shattered so I think I should go to bed now!
Goodnight all!
