Sketch Saturday #239

Good morning sketch fans!
Well how was your Christmas?
Mine was lovely...it was fab to spend it with my brother and his wife and my nephew, as well as my Mum & Dad...not often we get such a family Christmas!

So we are back after our 2 week challenge, and this time we are sponsored by

This was made for one of my end of year orders. The papers are First Edition, Love Letters, and the seam binding and gems are from my stash.

I don't know how you got on for Christmas pressies, but I got rather alot of goodies...or should I say 'baddies'?? 3 boxes of Lindor, 2 boxes of luxury choccies, 2 bottles of wine, 4 bottles of cider and a litre of Smirnoff! What does that say about me I wonder?? ;) As for Keiran, I couldn't begin to count how much confectionery he got! Suffice it to say that he won't be spending his weekly spending money on sweets or chocolate til at least Easter!

Challenges

Well bye for now...looking forward to seeing your creations! :)

Sale-A-Bration sneak peek #7

Hello!
Are you all ready for Christmas? If not, I hope it's not too much stress for you :/
I am pretty much all done now so I am going to relax, go to church, take Keiran to see Santa and visit family...happy days!

Before I go, I'm going to show you another Sale-A-Bration card, using the wonderful, vibrant colours.

This really is a lovely stamp set of 3 sentiments and 3 images...so versatile!
To get the graduated colour on the hummingbird I first coloured the whole stamp in Pool Party, the the tips of the beak, wings and tail in Island Indigo, then gently blended the two colours...all this was done with Stampin' Write markers before stamping. I did this twice, then cut one of them out and attached it over the first image to give the illusion over hovering.

Challenges

Supplies used:
Card - Whisper White, Island Indigo
Stampin' Write Markers - Island Indigo, Pool Party
Papers - Sycamore Street
Dies - Labels
Stamps - Bloomin' Marvellous

If you would like me to order any Stampin' Up! products for delivery right to your door, (and get your freebies) please don't hesitate to contact me on 07915 698577 or email me at lizyshouseofcards@mail.com

Sale-A-Bration sneak peek #4 & Less Is More

Good morning you lovely LIMettes!
All ready for Christmas?
I thought I was, but still got some bits to finish, including the annual 'Keiran calendar'...oh well looks like I'm going to be busy Christmas Eve!

So this morning over at Less Is More, Chrissie and Jen have set us the challenge of

DRINKS

Now other than having had a few of them with the PTA last night, I don't really have much in the way of crafty stuff to use for that theme. Then I wondered if a colour would do?
So this is my drink related card...
I have used another stamp from the Feeling Sentimental stamp set from Sale-A-Bration, and stamped it in Early Espresso! Hope I can get away with that ladies!
I also matted it onto Early Espresso card and used Early Espresso baker's twine.

Close up...
I've used a lot of Early Espresso here...well it's early and I need an Espresso before work to wake me up after last night!

Bye for now!

Supplies used:
Card - Very Vanilla, Early Espresso
Stamp - Feeling Sentimental
Baker's Twine - Early Espresso
Embellishments - Antique Brads

If you would like me to order any of these products for delivery right to your door, please don't hesitate to contact me on 07915 698577 or email me at lizyshouseofcards@mail.com

Something for teacher!

Good evening!
I am here with a quick post to show some little gift packages I have made to fill with yummy choccys for Keiran's teachers and the lollypop lady.
These have very simply been made by printing some of the new Nordic papers from Pink Petticoat, and using a template from the current issue of Cardmaking & Papercraft.

 Side view...

I tied them with some organza ribbon, added greetings punched with Stampin' Up! Word Window and finished with Martha Stewart punched snowflakes and gems.

All 5...

Bloomin' Marvellous! (SNEAK PEEK!)

Good evening all!
Ooooh I'm VERY excited! My new stash of Stampin' Up! goodies arrived yesterday and I've finally had a chance to play with them tonight! And it includes some of the new EXCLUSIVE Sale-A-Bration products too!
I have used one of the sentiments here on this card but if you would like to see more, I shall be blogging them HERE on my new blog over the next few days!
I have used some brads I found whilst trying to make space to put all my new goodies!

A close up of the sentiment...
Isn't it fab?? Love it! Such a Yorkshire saying...my Dad says it all the time!

Good morning!
I have just made this super cute, quick card when I popped into my craft room for something!

It's hard to see, but I have scored 3 lines up the card, then added the three flowers...so ridiculously simple! Haven't decided on a sentiment yet.
As for a card recipe....white card blank and 3 glitter flowers from my stash!

As promised, here is my first project, and I have gone for a very simple card today...one that I may make in bulk for next Christmas!
Very simply, this is a Very Vanilla card blank embossed with Northern Flurry embossing folder and I highlighted the snowflakes with Champagne Glass Glitter. Supplies to make this card:
Card - Very Vanilla
Embossing Folder - Northern Flurry
Glitter - Champagne Glass Glitter
