It's a Double!

Hello everyone!
Today is our new challenge at CAS-Colours and Sketches, and this week it's the double!

We would like to see you use both the colours and the sketch in your card this week.

So here is what I came up with...

I have used the lovely new Photopolymer stamps Flower Patch for my card. I stamped the flower 3 times in Crushed Curry, then die cut the bottom layer using the fab matching Flower Fair Framelits. The other two layers were hand cut and popped up on Dimensionals.

Here is a close up of the flower...

I stamped the sentiment from Lots of Thanks in Smoky Slate and punched out using the Large Oval Punch. I finished with a matching Candy Dot.

I love how the oval sentiment compliments the oval petals of the flower don't you?

I am entering this into the challenge at Less Is More this week which is anything goes...it's been ages since I entered a challenge!
Happy birthday to Chrissie, the owner of LIM!!

What are you going to make for our challenge...can't wait to see!
Have a lovely Thursday!

I'm back!

Good morning!!
Wow I feel like I haven't blogged for an age! In case you didn't know, I have been away in Holland for a week, and I have been busy with wedding stationery since I got back, so last night was the first chance to have a little play in my craft room!

Here's what I made...

I had a really good run on notebooks at my last fair so I thought I should get a start on some more. This one is a cheap hardback book I bought from a local shop, and I stamped directly onto the cover using one of the lovely new Hostess stamp sets, Bloom With Hope. I really love this set...there are some gorgeous flowers and really lovely sentiments too.

I stamped one of the flower stamps repeatedly in Baked Brown Sugar, then I used Lost Lagoon and an Aqua Painter pen to colour the flowers. I finished with the Very Vanilla Seam Binding and some Linen Thread.

I will hopefully get back into the swing of things now, so I shall see you tomorrow with my DT card for CAS-Colours and Sketches.

Have a lovely day!

Sketch Saturday

Good morning!
Today is my last full day here in Holland, staying with our wonderful friends Simon, Marco and their 3 lovely children. As always, we will be very sad to be leaving.

Today Simone is having a party for her 40th birthday, which is on Monday, so I have made her this card using our new sketch at Sketch Saturday this week.

Here is the sketch...

And here is my card...

A lot of this card has been created using elements from MDS...the sentiment and the Twitterpated Designer Paper are all printed from there.

I die cut the sentiment panel using my Labels Collection Framelits before paper piercing using the Paper Piercing Essentials pack. The embossed panel is created using the Beautiful Baroque EF. I finished with a little Soft Sky Seam Binding and some gems.

I hope you will join in our challenge this week!

Fun Flower get well

Good morning from a very sunny Holland! The weather has been just gorgeous since we have been here!

So today is Thursday which means it's time for a new challenge at CAS-Colours and Sketches, and this week it's a sketch challenge.

I decided to have a play with one of our new stamp/punch combos for this card.

I used Beautiful Bunch and the matching Fun Flower punch to creat the flower in Strawberry Slush.

I used a piece of Garden Green DSP for the corner and after placing the flower I simply added a Teeny Tiny Sentiment.

A very simple card today...what will you make?
Have a lovely day,
Lizy xx

Lovely Lace

Good morning from Holland! I am here for a week so I won't be posting every day, but I'll try and post a few times :)

So today I am going to show you something I made back in May when I went to the training day in Telford.

We got to have a play with some new products, one of which is this Lovely Lace embossing folder.

Isn't it lovely teamed with the Petite Petals and the Artisan Label punch?

So, we are off to Efteling tomorrow which Keiran is really looking forward to! I may share some pictures if you're lucky!

Pinkie Blog Hop for the New Annual Catalogue 2014/15

Thank you for joining us on another Pinkies Blog Hop! We're showcasing lots of gorgeous projects using products from the new Stampin' Up!® Annual Catalogue. Simply use the buttons at the end of each post to keep hopping.

Did you enjoy seeing Eveline's project? Isn't it lovely?

I have decided to use some gorgeous new ribbon and flowers to make something a little different for you!
I cut the heart shapes using the Hearts Collection Framelits and embossed the middle one with Beautiful Baroque Embossing Folder. I then sponged it using Mossy Meadow ink. The outer is wrapped with the stunning new Stitched Satin Ribbon in Hello Honey.

I have used the gorgeous new Flower Frenzy Bigz die and the Beautiful Bunch stamp and Fun Flower Punch combo.
The main flower was stamped in Hello Honey, onto Hello Honey cardstock, the leaves are Mossy Meadow and the purple elements are Blackberry Bliss. All these are some of our brand new In Colours. Aren't they gorgeous?

I really enjoyed making this project...it's a while since I did a home decor item...may have to have a play in lots of other colours! :)

I hope you're enjoying the blog hop, and to continue, please click on the badge below, to take you to Sandie's blog, where you will see her beautiful project!

Enjoy your weekend!

Cheers!

Good morning sketch fans!
We have a fabulous sketch from Cathy this week at Sketch Saturday...

As I so often do, I used this sketch for a commission I had to do...funnily enough, for a Cathy!

This is an 8x8in card and I used the ever popular Happy Hour stamp set. I coloured the stamps with my Stampin' Write Markers before I stamped them and cut them out.

The sentiment was printed onto some Whisper White card and I cut it our with my Labels Collection Framelits.

The DSP is so old retired I had in my stash, but you can download it from MDS...this is from the Brights collection.

What are you going to create this week?
Have a wonderful weekend!

It's a Flower Frenzy!!

Good morning!
It's good to be back! I have had such a busy week this week that I haven't had chance to do any blogging, but I am back with my DT card for CAS-Colours and Sketches. This week we have a colour challenge...

Isn't it a wonderful colour combo??

I had a little play with this fabulous die last night...it's the new Flower Frenzy Bigz and it has lots of different sized and shaped flowers, plus this wonderful leaf stem. I shaped the leaves using a shaper tool.

I sponged the flower with Perfect Plum for the main part and Elegant Eggplant for the centre. The leaves were sponged with Mossy Meadow. I finished with a little gem but left a sentiment off as I couldn't decide what to put on it!

We look forward to seeing all your creations over the next week!

Helllooo!

Good morning everyone!
I just wanted to let you all know that I am still around, but I have been so busy this week with wedding stationery orders that I haven't had time to create anything to blog! I hope you can forgive me!

I will be back tomorrow though, with my DT card for CAS-Colours and Sketches, so I hope to see you then!
Have a lovely Wednesday!

Flowers and Butterflies!

Hello everyone!
How is your weekend going? I have another stall today at the Oasis Academy at MediaCity UK...I'm sure I booked an outside stall so I hope the weather improves a bit!

So today's card is another commission...told you I've been busy!

I used mostly retired stock for this one, mainly because I love it all! Those gorgeous Papillon Potpourri butterflies are still current though, as is the matching punch.

I created the sentiment on MDS, which meant I could get matching coloured text. The beautiful Twitterpated paper I have used here is also available on MDS...how awesome is that?! I finished with some super sparkly Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

I used the sketch at Mojo Monday for my inspiration...

Well, off I go...I hope you have a lovely day!

Happy Wedding!

Good morning all!
I am quickly typing this after a very late night last night, and today I have a very long day at a craft fair! But for those of you who want to know, my date went pretty well last night, and I think there will definitely be a second date! :D

Anyway, it is Saturday so that means it's Sketch Saturday time! So here is this week's sketch...

I used the sketch for a wedding card commission I had, as I thought it would work well for it. The image was a freebie from a magazine years ago, but I used Fancy Foil Designer Vellum and 5/8'' Organza Ribbon from my online shop, along with Hearts Framelits, Word Window Punch, and a sentiment from Teeny Tiny Sentiments. This is actually a 7x7in card...a bit larger than usual, but not huge!

I printed the image onto Whisper White...isn't it lovely?

Like I said, I have a busy day today so I better get going! See you tomorrow if I have the energy left to blog! ;)

Exciting news!

Good morning everyone!
I have a little bit of exciting news! I won in the Friday Sketch Challenge a couple of weeks ago, and they asked me to be a GDT for this week's challenge!

I was given a digi image from FaeryInk so I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to get out my Blendabilities!

I really enjoyed colouring this sweet little couple in! The Blendies worked so well, and for the colours I didn't have I just used my Stampin' Write Markers...a great combo and did you know that they blend pretty well too?!

The shoes, jeans, jacket, heart and shadow were all coloured with Stampin' Writes! I printed the image onto Whisper White and both sets of pens worked well on it.

You can get your hands on the latest colours of Blendabilities through my online shop >>>>>>>
Or you can order them through me, if you prefer the personal touch!

I hope you can pop back tomorrow to see my Sketch Saturday DT card!
Bye for now!

A Beautiful Bunch and a Fun Flower Punch!

Hello!
Guess what? It's Thursday! Which can mean only two things...it's almost the weekend and it's time for a new challenge at CAS-Colours and Sketches! This weeks is a sketch from Jacqueline...

Now I will be honest...I have looked at this so many times this week and couldn't think what to do, but then my Stampin' Up! delivery arrived today and this is what happened...

You know, I wasn't too sure about these new In Colours when they first came out, but the more I use them, the more I totally love them!

So my new stamp set? Well there's 2 here actually; Beautiful Bunch and Remembering Your Birthday. There is a matching punch too...isn't that fab?! These are actually very sizeable flowers...about 6cm tip to tip, so they are fab on a 6in square card like this one. I used Lost Lagoon and Hello Honey for this...I am working through as many combinations as I can I think!

I have a busy weekend with a date on Friday night (yes a date!!!) and stalls at craft fairs on Saturday and Sunday. What are you up to?

Enjoy your Thursday!

Pictogram Thank You!

Good morning!
I hope you are having a good week so far?

I have been very busy making commission cards and working on 2 sets of wedding invitations, but I managed to very quickly make this sweet little 10cm x 10cm card using my new stamps and new In Colours!

See if you can guess the stamp set...

I used this yesterday too; it's Pictogram Punches ...I can see me using this one quite a lot!

I scored 2 lines across the topper piece of card which is 9cm square. I then used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to position the sentiment (from Work of Art) and vase just where I wanted them. The flowers were then stamped and punched using the matching punch from Itty Bitty Accents punches. I curled the petals and popped them onto the vase. All the colours are the new In Colours...they work really well together don't they?

If you would like to order any of the lush new products, you can do so via the link on my sidebar >>>>>
Alternatively, please do contact me to place your order for you, or to order a FREE catalogue!

It's a lovely day today, so I hope you get chance to enjoy it!
Have a good one!
