Simply Stampin', Just for You

Good evening!

I have just watched the swimming finals and the athletics....the Americans really have got it going on haven't they?!! Incredible! Well done to them! :))

Anyway, here is tonight'd CAS card...I seem to be on a roll with these this week! :)

This is made using all Stampin' Up! products, except the cardstock and the ribbon. I have made this to fit in with the sketch challenge at Simply Stampin' this week.

Less Is More #2

Good afternoon!

I'm sat watching Ice Age with Keiran, waiting for the diving to come on the Olympics. 

In the meantime, here is another card I made on Saturday at Jen's, using one of her Stampin' Up! sets.

I also used her Die-Namics zigzag border die and my SU! markers. I also added some glossy accents for dimension, but they don't really show on here.

It is another entry into the Less Is More Sketch challenge this week, and the Card Crafter's Circle - CAS challenge.

With Sympathy

Good evening all.

This is a sad card I have made. I made this card last night at Jen's using one of her Stampin' Up! sets and my SU markers. I then had a phone call from my Mum this morning to say that my uncle, her brother, had died. So I thought this would make a fitting sympathy card for me to send to the family, and so I added the sentiment.

I'm not sure what set of stamps this is as I left the details at Jen's lol! The brad is one of the freebies from SU! last month, thanks Vicky, and the baker's twine is also Jen's, from Ribbon Girl. The sentiment is from a Papermania set.

Less Is More - Sketch

Good afternoon!

Yes, I know...afternoon and only just here with my Less Is More card! It's because I slept in somewhat after watching the Olympic Opening Ceremony last night...wasn't it awesome?! I was so proud to be British...Danny Boyle, and all the wonderful volunteers and athletes really did us proud!

Anyway, this week over at Less Is More, Chrissie and Mandi have come up with a really lovely sketch for us to use!

The stamp set is Bright Blossoms from Stampin Up! and I have used SU markers to stamp with. The inspiration for how to use these stamps came from a lovely card Vicky sent me a couple of months ago, and the colour inspiration is from this week's challenge at Colour Throwdown. The border is also one of the new dies from SU! Oh and the ribbon is the 'shoulder tag' from a top!

Hey, look at me! A card on a non DT day lol! I have made this card for my friend's little girl's 5th birthday....I will add a sentiment tomorrow when I go for a much needed crafting evening with Jen!

Well I really am not getting much crafting done lately...what with work, Keiran, the house and garden, gym, and now I have that flipping sore throat, again!

Sew.....it's Saturday!

Good morning LIMettes!

Well, after a non-crafty week, I think my mojo is, surprisingly, still hanging around!

This morning at Less Is More, Chrissie and Mandi have come up with the them of

and it can be real, faux, or just sewing related cards.

So here is my little offering before work...

The super cute image is a freebie Nitwit one that came with Simply Homemade a few months ago. Now I have used 2 techniques I have never used this morning...colouring on Kraft, and colouring with Stampin Up! markers! And although the colouring isn't up to my usual standard, I do actually quite like it! I deliberately left the stitching 'unfinished' so it looked like a work in progress.

Ok....I see the sun is shining for a change, so after work, the gym, and doing my washing, I may get out in the garden later!

Sketch Saturday #217 with Bunny Zoes Crafts

Good morning all!

I can't believe I actually haven't posted in a week! I have just had so much going on recently...I guess it's taking me longer to get back into crafting than I thought it would!

I went to see the most awesome band, Lady Antebellum, last Sunday, with Jen and a few others, and they were just fantastic!! If you haven't heard of them, Google them, listen to them and buy some of their music...they are AWESOME!! :)) They are HUGE in America and have a large (if surprisingly young!) fanbase in the UK...I really hope they'll be back again very soon!

Anyway, I am here with our new sketch over at Sketch Saturday, and we are sponsored by

I have used a good old fashioned wooden stamp for this one from  Stamps Happen Inc - The Art Of Casting, and coloured it with Promarkers. I used the SU Stripes embossing folder and a fish paperclip from Jen's stash! This was by far, the most complicated image I have ever coloured in!

Now a little while ago, I made a little football card, that I said was a little special but I couldn't show you the whole card, remember?

Well here is the completed card...

This was for an order for a guy who was turning 80 and his passions are Man Utd and Fishing! Now I struggled as to how to find an image that incorporates them both, then I had a genius idea! Two totally different cards in one! Inside it says 'but which is better??' My customer was thrilled with it! 
Incidentally, the Man Utd side of the card won over at Partytime Tuesdays earlier this month! :)

Ok, I admit, I did take some time to think about this one this morning, but mainly because I didn't think I have 3 snowflake dies...Here's my card...

I used 3 snowflake dies from a Marianne set (I think) and embossed them, then added Butterfly Trails glitter and Aurora Borealis gems and a sentiment that was free from a magazine last year.
