Cheers!

Good morning sketch fans!
We have a fabulous sketch from Cathy this week at Sketch Saturday...

As I so often do, I used this sketch for a commission I had to do...funnily enough, for a Cathy!

This is an 8x8in card and I used the ever popular Happy Hour stamp set. I coloured the stamps with my Stampin' Write Markers before I stamped them and cut them out.

The sentiment was printed onto some Whisper White card and I cut it our with my Labels Collection Framelits.

The DSP is so old retired I had in my stash, but you can download it from MDS...this is from the Brights collection.

What are you going to create this week?
Have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Hour!

Good morning everyone, especially all you sketchy fans out there!
We have a new challenge at Sketch Saturday

So here is how I used the sketch...

I got inspiration for the colours from Colour Q - #235 this week...aren't they a gorgeous combination?

I used my slightly neglected Happy Hour stamps, some retired DSP, Calypso Coral Chevron Ribbon and a button from the Subtles collection.

I also stamped a cocktail inside the card.

The drinks are on me!

Hello!
You'll be pleased to hear that today's card is a lot more 'me'! It's another commission to tick off my list.

I've used some of the retired DSP from last year, but the stamp set, Happy Hour, is still current.

I used the Alphabet Typset Bigz die for the '40', and added Crystal Effects to the glasses for a bit of 'realism'.

If you would like to purchase any of the products I have used here, please do visit my online store where you can also be entered into this month's Mystery Hostess club for your chance to win this month's hostess freebies!

Less is More - Happy Birthday Jen and New In Colours Sneak Peek!

Good morning!
Yay it's Saturday...that means only one thing ... It's Less Is More day! And as it's Jen's Birthday (happy birthday Jen!), the challenge is to make a birthday card. So here is my card, for you, my friend Jen, for your birthday!

Knowing Jen as I do, she loves butterflies, Pool Party is her favourite Stampin' Up! colour, and obviously she likes clean and simple. So I have used butterflies, but I have used two of the new 2013-2015 In Colours, one of them similar to Pool Party.

Have you spotted the little butterfly inside the card?
The butterflies are in Cool Cabana and the embossed panel is in the lush brand new Strawberry Slush...aren't they just really yummy colours?! They will be available to order in only 12 days!! Eeeek excited much?!!!

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White, Strawberry Slush, Basic Gray
Embossing/Scoring - Elegant Lines EF, Simply Scored
Dies - Precious Butterflies Sizzlits
Stamp - Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Ink - Basic Gray

The theme at Sketch Saturday is also to make Jen a birthday card, and you get to choose any of her past sketches! So I just wanted to show you the one I made for there too...

I would have entered this into the LIM challenge, but although it is CAS, I'm not sure there's enough white space to qualify!

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White
Designer Series Paper - In Colour 2011-2013
Stamps - Happy Hour
Tools - Simply Scored

If you would like to find out more about the gorgeous Stampin' Up! products, or to order any, please do contact me and I will be happy to help!
I also hold Stampin' Up! parties and workshops, so if you would like to find out more, please don't hesitate to get in touch!

There are only 2 weeks left to order your retiring items so please don't forget to place your order before it is too late!

I am also entering my card into a new challenge... ART (A Random Thursday), who have this sketch to follow...

I'm off to work now...hope you're having a good time in Istanbul Jen! ;)
Bye for now all!

Good morning!
Here is one of the cards I made at the crafty afty(noon) at Jen's yesterday...

This one is made using the fab and fun Happy Hour stamp set. I coloured it using my Stampin' Write markers to blend in the colours before stamping to create a 'cocktail' effect.

I scored a line for a 'shelf' using my Simply Scored tool and used Polka Dot Parade for the background paper.

Supplies
Cardstock - Basic Gray, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper - Polka Dot Parade
Stamps - Happy Hour, Oh, Hello
Ink - Tempting Turquoise, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Basic Gray
Other - Simply Scored

100 posts - Cheers!!!

Good morning LIMettes!
As I came to type this I realised that this is my 100th post since I started this blog...wow!! So the card kind of fits! At Less Is More this week, it's One Layer week and the theme is

A FILM

Soooo.....a quick text to Jen to see if I could borrow her, as yet unused, not even delivered to her Happy Hour stamp set! Of course, she said!

So here is my little card...

Hard to photograph in this sun (yes, SUN!) but basically I stamped the glass in Basic Gray and Blushing Bride (one of the returning colours), the olive in Old Olive and Lucky Limeade and the Umbrella in Lucky Limeade and Calypso Coral. All the stamping was perfectly placed using my Stamp-a-Majig!

The score line were done using my Simply Scored tool and I scored two line one way, then turned the card over and scorder the middle line...it gives a more interesting effect don't you think?
The sentiment is Gray and Coral too.

EDIT - I forgot to say that my film is.....
COCKTAIL!

If you would like to order any items from me, please don't hesitate to contact me as I would be delighted to help you build your stash!

Right, I best get to work now, then time for a crafty afternoon with Jen...YAY! :)
Have a lovely day!
