Last Minute Masks

Hello! It's almost the weekend...yay!
Are you going to any parties this weekend? Maybe a masquerade party? No? Oh well neither am I but I do have a card I was commissioned to make for someone who did have a masquerade ball for her 30th birthday last week!

I found these fabby masks, Last Minute Masks, on the My Digital Studio download page. I added them to my blank page, changed the colours, printed and there you go! I stamped and heat embossed the black one with Flowering Flourishes to give a lovely pattern and added some gems and feathers.

I sprayed the pink one with Silver Glimmer Spray and added lots of nail art gems from my stash and a feather.

I used Silver Glimmer Paper and some retired DSP for the background. The sticks for the masks are cocktail sticks wrapped with ribbon.

This card was one of those that I knew exactly what I was going to do as soon as I was asked and I thoroughly enjoyed making it!

Thanks for visiting!

An economical card!

Good morning!
I spent most of last night designing the inserts for a friend's wedding, which I have to say, I am extremely happy with...I hope Laura is just as happy! I'm sure I will be blogging them eventually!

Anyway, it's time for our new challenge this week at CAS - Colours and Sketches, and this week it's the double!

Here is my card...

This is what I call a very economical card...it only uses one stamp set! And it is a lovely new one from the Spring/Summer catalogue, called Peachy Keen.

I stamped the heart once onto the card blank, then stamped again, cut it out and popped it up on Dimensionals, after stamping the sentiment across the middle. The arrows are stamped in Blushing Bride and Soft Sky.

After I had photographed the card, I decided it needed a little something else, so I added some nail gem pearls...

What do you think? With or without pearls?

Happy Watercolour on Film

Good morning!
Have you been having fun looking through the new catalogues via the links in my sidebar? Aren't there some stunning things and fabulous project ideas?

I have another card today, made using some of the new products, here it is...

I have used Happy Watercolour for the poppy and I stamped it in Versamark, then heat embossed in White Stampin' Emboss, before rubbing Real Red on with a Sponge. I wiped the image once the ink had dried to remove the excess from the outlines. I then masked the poppy and washed soft sky ink over it using my Aqua Painters.

I then cut out the panel with the poppy on and popped it into the die cut film strip from The On Film Framelits. Before adding these to the card blank, I stamped a background with the 'blotchy' stamp from Watercolour wonder and Soft Sky ink. I finished with the sentiment stamped in Real Red, after once stamping off to soften the effect.

Language of Love

Good morning and a very warm welcome to my newest follower, Elaine from Craft-E-Place! I hope my blog serves as inspiration to you!

And now to the reason you are here...a card! And this one is my entry into the sketch challenge at Create with Connie and Mary this week. I was extremely honoured to have been picked in their Top 3 last week with this card, thank you!
So here is their sketch...

And my card...

I have used some of the stunning brand new Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper from the new Spring/Summer Catalogue, which you can order as from today! Just click on the links in my sidebar to view the catalogue and to buy direct from my online store.

I used the lovely Language of Love stamp set, which I stamped in Real Red and Pink Pirouette. I then punched a little heart out of the Pink one, using the Small Heart Punch, and mounted it onto the red one before coating it with Crystal Effects. The 2 larger hearts are die cut from the Hearts Framelits and I used the flower punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack to create the cut out for the ribbon. I finished with 3 dots of Dazzling Diamonds.

More stash used!

Hello all!
I have a lovely little card again with a scrap I found on my desk during my major tidy up! All I had to do was sponge some blue ink around the edges to create the feel of a scene.

I also distressed the edges of the image panel a little, mainly because one edge was a little rough already...way to rescue it!

The lovely tree is from Serene Silhouettes and the sentiment is from Simply Sketched.

I have used the sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch for my layout.
