Less is More - 3-2-1- go!

Good Morning!
Well it's a while since I woke up, raring to get crafting on a card for Less Is More! Hopefully this means the return of my long lost mojo! :)
So this week, Chrissie and Mandi have set us a recipe, and they have gone for
3-2-1
So the idea is to use 3 of something, 2 of something else and 1 of another thing. Well here's what I came up with...

I have used 3 squares, one stamped with one of the flowers from Stampin' Up! Simply Soft, one embossed with SU! Square Lattice EF, and one embossed with an embossing folder I've had for ages...no name, sorry. I used 1 ribbon from Ladybug Crafts Ink, and finished with 2 pearls from my stash.

As well as Less is More, I am also entering this into Simply Stamping's Colour Challenge, which is to use Pretty In Pink, Calypso Coral, Old Olive and Very Vanilla. I was totally thrilled to discover this morning that I got the top 3 at Simply Stampin with this card...
Thank you so much! :)

Ok, I'm off to Sincerely Your at Leigh today...I may be hanging around the Craftbug stall alot as Jen is helping out on there, so do stop to say hello if you're there! :)
Byeeee!

Sketch Saturday #222 with The Craft Barn

Good morning Sketch Saturday fans!
These Saturdays really come around quick don't they?!

I'm extra excited today because I am going to Sincerely Yours at Leigh with Jen...she's working on the Craft Bug stall so pop over and say hi...you might even catch me too! ;)

Anyway, this week we are sponsored by our friends at The Craft Barn!

Here's our sketch

And here's my card

I really seem to be favouring the CAS approach lately...dunno why...
Anyway, the image is Pink Petticoat, coloured with Promarkers. The bottom half of the card was created by repeatedly stamping the hearts from Stampin' Up! Confetti with Tempting Turquoise SU Marker. The blue organza ribbon is from my stash, the glittery ric-rac is from Fantastic Ribbons, and it's finished with Card Candi. And yes, it does have a blank sentiment panel...that's there ready for personalisation when the baby is born! :)

Challenges

Thanks for popping by...hope to see your creation soon! I'm off to Leigh now...hiding my credit card lol!

Simply Stamped Wedding card

Good evening!
I opened my laptop to reply to an email tonight, and a sketch from Simply Stamping Challenges popped up at me...I'd had the page open thinking 'I really must get around to making a card for that as I love the sketch'! So here it is :)

I borrowed this Stampin' Up! set from Jen at the weekend...it's called Love & Laughter. I stamped the cake with Emboss clear, then embossed with Seafoam WOW EP. The border punch is Woodware Lever Ribbon Heart and the sentiment is from the same stamp set. I finished with a few gems from my stash. I think this sketch really lent itself well to this card design!
That's it from me tonight...gonna go make a cuppa now I think :)
Goodnight!

Sitting Pretty!

Good afternoon!
How are you all? I've been a little tired this week for some reason but I think I'm getting better now...

Ok so over at Crafting For All Seasons we have a new challenge and this fortnight it's

STITCHING (faux or real)

Our fabby sponsors this week are

Meljen's Designs :: Digital Stamps by Melissa Jenkins

The Stamping Boutique

Now I don't have a sewing machine 'sew' mine is definitely faux!

I've called this post 'Sitting Pretty' and can't you just see why??She is adorable and is from The Greetings Farm and I have coloured her with Promarkers and Polychromo pencils and Sansodor to give some depth to her hair and dress. The papers are all Nitwit freebies from an old issue of Simply Homemade. I actually chose the papers and basically put the card together before colouring her which I found works really well! The stitching was 'drawn' using Old Olive and Regal Rose Stampin' Up! markers.

Less Is More - Tearing

Good morning LIMettes!
I've missed you! I've not entered the challenge for a couple of weeks as I just haven't been feeling very inspired at all. Just generally, no mojo unless I really have to have it, like for a DT card or a commission. Even visiting Jen last night didn't help very much....I had been hoping I'd left my mojo there the last time I visited but, no.

However, I have made a card this morning, for Less Is More's Tearing challenge, so tell me what you think :)

This was made entirely using free Nitwit papers and stamp from an old issue of Simply Homemade. The only non freebie I used was Old Olive Stampin' Up! marker for the stamp and the stitching.
Ok, work, gym and bowling....another busy day!
Have a fab Saturday...looks like it could be a sunny one!

For a Fabulous Mum!

Hello!!
Oooh it feels like it's been a while lol!
I'm here with a card I have made for a commission for a guy to give to his Mum for her upcoming birthday.

This is made combining 3 of the stamps from Pink Petticoat's Mini Diva Doodles, printed once on the main panel, then again onto Lovely Washed Damask paper, again from PP. The background paper is one of Jen's and the gorgeous ribbon is from Ladybug Crafts Ink. The charm and gems are from my stash, and the roses, which I glittered a little, are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Challenges

Oh and I have just given this card to the customer....he LOVED it! Hope his Mum does too!

CAS Christmas card

Good evening and happy Yorkshire Day!
I have had the most awesome day at Knowsley Safari park with my friend Emma, Keiran and his 2nd cousin Sophie...they have had so much fun together!

And here is a card I made last night, this time using sketch #22 from Retro Sketches

I have used the colours from the Dynamic Duos challenge this week which are
Now I know it's had to see the Crumb Cake, but it is there I promise! I originally stamped a fab Christmas tree (in Crumb Cake) on the card, but it was way too small and flat, so to rescue the card, I added a Marianne Die Cut tree over the top, allowing the stamped tree to show underneath. I finished with the scrap of ribbon, a snowflake charm, and some dark brown glitter.

Thanks for looking...I may see you tomorrow!
