Simply Stars

Good morning peeps!
It's time for a new sketch at Sketch Saturday and this one is on of Jen's sketches.

Here is the card I made for my brother's birthday using the sketch...

I used the fab Simply Stars stamp set and stamped it in Cajun Craze, Island Indigo and Bravo Burgundy.

The sentiment was created on MDS.

I wonder what you will create?

Sparkle at Less Is More with a Grungy Snowman!

Hello again!
Well, as promised, here is my entry into Less Is More's challenge this week...I really couldn't resist as it is...

I totally LOVE sparkly cards!

So here is my offering, using the stamp set Keiran has also been using for his Christmas cards this year!

I have stamped my lovely snowman using the Snow Day stamp set, and then I dabbed my Versamark pad over him and heat embossed with Iridescent Ice EP.

Can you see the falling snow? That is made using a stamp from Gorgeous Grunge, Versamark and White and Iridescent Ice EP.

Supplies
Stamps - Snow Day, Gorgeous Grunge
Ink - Soft Sky, Pistachio Pudding, Basic Black, Cajun Craze
Embossing - Versamark, Iridescent Ice EP, White EP

Less is More colour challenge and the first Hostess Code!

Good morning LIMettes!
Oh this morning has not gone well! I got up to make my card, but then when I came to post it my computer decided to restart itself for updates...don't you just hate it when it does that?! Then when it did restart, for some reason Chrome had crashed and I couldn't get any internet at all, so I had to restart my lappy again! Anyway, here I am now! :) The day can only get better right? ;)

Ok so this week the challenge at Less Is More is a colour one, and the colours are

DARK GREEN and RUST

So here is my offering...

Now I really liked Jen's card, so I admit it...I cased it! I used two of the lovely hostess sets; Simply Sketched for the image and Morning Meadow for the sentiment.

I used Cajun Craze and Always Artichoke Stampin' Write Markers and blended the colour on the little birdie with a Blender Pen.

I have a fantastic and very easy way for you to earn these stamp set yourself, without having to spend £150 all by yourself.

I have a Virtual Hostess code that you can use when you place your order, valid for one week only, but after that week, I will draw one of you lovely customers to be the hostess and earn all the freebies, including the EXCLUSIVE hostess items! The more orders I get, the more hostess benefits!

So this week's code is

MAXYUMSP

Simply enter the code at checkout in my store (make sure my name is in the top right corner) and you will be entered to be the hostess for the week! The code is valid until midnight next Friday 13th September, so get in there and don't miss out!!

Thanks for coming to visit today...see you soon! :)

Oh, Hello!

Good morning!
I love Saturdays...the rush to get a card made for Less Is More so I can get on with the day's chores of work etc! But today is not a chore...I have my stall at the market today, and I always love doing that! :)

So the challenge at LIM this week is a colour challenge and this week we are asked to use two opposite colours from this colour wheel...

So here is my creation...

I have used a new set I got this week. It's called Oh Hello and can be found at the front of the Spring/Summer catalogue. The colours I've chosen are Blue/Green and Red/Orange, or Island Indigo and Cajun Craze in Stampin' Up! I scored the edges of the strip for a little added interest.

I have also followed a sketch this week from Freshly Made Sketches

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White
Stamps - Oh, Hello
Ink - Cajun Craze, Island Indigo
Other - Simply Scored

Celebrate!

Hello!
I have a card here that I have made based on an idea I saw a few weeks ago here, so I cased it!

I have used the incredible FREE Sale-A-Bration set Feeling Sentimental and I stamped it in Marina Mist, Cajun Craze and Lucky Limeade ink. I then mounted them onto a strip of Soft Suede card.

I used the Square Lattice embossing folder on the Marina Mist card for texture and finished with the sentiment stamped in Soft Suede. This card ended up with more layers than I had intended it to because as I stuck it together I realised the fold was on the wrong side! Doh! Schoolgirl error!

Products used
Cardstock - Very Vanilla, Marina Mist, Soft Suede
Stamps - Feeling Sentimental (SAB)
Ink (markers) - Lucky Limeade, Soft Suede, Marina Mist, Cajun Craze
Other - Square Lattice embossing folder

I now have new pages at the top of my blog for more information about Stampers 6, joining the tINKerbelles, and how to contact me, so now there's no excuses...get your orders in now so you too can get these wonderful Sale-A-Bration freebies! ;)

Less Is More - Black, White and a teeny bit of colour!

Good Morning!
Happy new year to you all, especially Chrissie, Mandi, Jen and all you fabby LIMettes!

So this week, the challenge at Less Is More is Black, White and a hint of colour. This is what I came up with...

I wanted something simple and wanted to use a stamp set I haven't used yet. I stamped the quatrefoil onto paper first to soften the ink before staming onto my card. I used Cajun Craze. I usually use red or pink with B&W but I felt like a change!

I had originally made this as a one layer card but it just didn't look quite right so I cut the panel out and mounted onto a new card blank...I think it's much more effective.

Supplies used:
Stamps - Summer Silhouettes, Petite Pairs
Ink - Basic Black, Cajun Craze
Pearls from stash

If you would like me to order any Stampin' Up! products for delivery right to your door, (and get your freebies) please don't hesitate to contact me on 07915 698577 or email me at lizyshouseofcards@mail.com

Ok best get to work!
