One last DT card...

Good morning! I'm here with my DT card for CAS-Colours and Sketches, and this week it's a sketch...

My card started using a flower I had left over from a couple of commission cards I made this week...

The large flower is from Petal Potpourri and is stamped in Hello Honey. I then added a Rich Razzelberry Papillon Potpourri butterfly and a Bermuda Bay Petite Petal.

The leaves are punch from Pear Pizazz card using the Bird Builder punch. I finished with a sentiment from Endless Birthday Wishes. As it is a photopolymer stamp it's easy to get it perfectly placed on the card!

I am sad to say that this is my last challenge for CAS...I have a lot to concentrate on in my life so I am taking my leave...I will miss it lots but I am still going to be around! I look forward to seeing what you create with my last sketch!
Happy crafting!

I see a rainbow!

Hello all!
I'm here with my DT card for CAS-Colours and Sketches and this week we have a sketch for you...

I immediately thought of my Petite Petals set so I got to work and here's what I made...

I took the sketch quite literally and went for rainbow colours, just because I felt like it! I stamped the dots from Awesomely Artistic in Rose Red, stamping more than once before inking to give a softer effect. The flowers were stamped and I used the matching punch to cut them out.

The sentiment is from One Big Meaning...this is a great set for all those Thank You cards, and let's face it, we send lots right?!
The whole panel was then popped onto an A6 Rose Red card blank. Oh and I finished with a single pearl.

What will you do with our sketch I wonder?

Cucumber and Watermelon cocktail!

Good morning!
So today, I am showing you how well two of the new In Colours go together....

Now I must admit, when I saw the very vibrant Cucumber Crush I wasn't sure if I would like it. But, as usual, after having a play, it turns out I do! Isn't it a fresh colour??

I teamed it with Watermelon Wonder to create this summery card, using flowers from Pictogram Punches and Petite Petals, the swirl from Everything Eleanor, the sentiment from Lots of Thanks and Gorgeous Grunge in the background! I know, a lot of stamp sets but we all have a lot right?? The sentiment banner was shaped by popping the end into the Petite Curly Label punch and snipping it off...isn't it sweet??

I love how fresh this card is and I can see me using this colour combo in the future!

If you would like to order any current products from my online shop, please just use the link on the right! >>>>>>>

I'd love it if you join me tomorrow for my DT card for CAS-Colours and Sketches...hope to see you then!

I {heart} my parents!

Good morning everyone!
Today I'm showing you a little present I made for my Mum and Dad for their Wedding Anniversary last week.

This is quite a large cardboard heart that I wrapped with Burlap Ribbon and secured using hot glue.

I then added the sentiment from Feel Goods which I heat embossed with my own mix of Stampin' Emboss Powders. I used Early Espresso and Gold to create a slightly graduated look to it....very effective don't you think?

I added various flowers from Petal Potpourri and Petite Petals, some die cut leaves from Flower Frenzy Bigz Die, and some butterflies from Butterfly Basics. I finished with Basics Pearls and some gold pearls from my stash.

They loved this gift, which I made in colours to match their decor...I hope to see it hung in pride of place next time I visit!

Have a lovely day and I hope the wind has calmed down near you!

Vintage Candles

Hello everyone!
How is your weekend so far?
I had my craft class on Friday evening, which was brilliant, as usual! I will share our projects tomorrow :)
I was working for most of the weekend, but Mike and I went out for a game of pool on Saturday, and I did manage to craft a little...

I have been on a mission to make lots of pretty things for a stall I have later this month. So these candles are just perfect for it! I have used Designer Series paper on these... this is retired but any would work just as well, especially the Typeset Speciality Paper!

I then decorated them with Petite Petals and Papillon Potpourri, stamped onto the same DSP, and punch with the matching punches. I tied Venetian Crochet Trim and Linen Thread round the candles to add a shabby chic look. I finished with some tiny Basic Pearls.

Of course, they then needed packaging!

To make the base, I cut an equilateral triangle with 36cm sides, then scored each side at 5cm. I then cut along the scoreline in each corner to make a flap, then simply folded it all together and glued! I finished with floristry cello wrap, Crochet Trim and a butterfly. This is now a quite sturdy and pretty looking gift!

If you would like to order any of the Stampin' Up! products I have used, please feel free to contact me, or follow the link to my online shop, just over there >>>>>

Ok so before I go, I just thought I would share a photo of me and Mike playing pool...

This is me about to pot the black after just potting all 7 of my yellows in my first shot!

And this is Mike taking his shot after I missed potting the black!! *face palm*

Have a lovely Monday...I hope it's not too traumatic for you!

Happy Birthday Shelli!!

Good morning Sketchy fans!
It's time for our new challenge at Sketch Saturday, and this week Debra has designed our sketch...

As this post goes live, I shall be at the Stampin' Up! Convention in Brussels! It is Stampin' Up! founder Shelli's birthday this week so we were asked to design a card for her if we wanted to, and, all being well, they were all presented to her yesterday!

So here is the card I made...

I started off with some DSP from the Back To Black paper stack and once I decided to use this sentiment from Feel Goods, I thought Daffodil Delight would brighten the card and give a lovely contrast.

I inked the stamp with Stampin' Write Markers so that I could highlight the word 'sunshine' in Daffodil Delight. I finished with some Basic Black Chevron Ribbon, Daffodil Delight Seam Binding, a stamped and punched flower from Petite Petals and a Rhinestone coloured with a black marker pen.

I chose this particular sentiment as, thanks to Shelli and Stampin' Up!, there are a lot of happy Demos and customers out there, and Shelli is one shining example of positivity!

Happy Birthday Shelli!

Have a lovely weekend and hopefully I will be back with convention news on Monday!

Sketch Saturday

Good morning Sketchy fans!
It is Saturday morning, which can mean only one thing....new sketch time!
I have used some of the gorgeous new All Bloom DSP, petite petals stamp and punch and some retired ribbon.

The sentiment was created on MDS.

I am currently sat in a tent, in a field, so I will update this post properly when I get home Sunday.
Have a lovely weekend!

Scalloped Tag Topper Birthday

Good morning!
It's Thursday which must mean a new challenge at CAS - Colours and Sketches, and this week it's a colour challenge.

I had to think a little for this one, as I couldn't figure out how to combine the 3 colours without going for my usual favoured stamp sets...Gorgeous Grunge, Petite Petals and Papillon Potpourri! In the end, this is what I came up with...

Ok, yes, I used Petite Petals! What can I say...I'm getting my money's worth out of that wonderful bundle! I also used the Label Love Bundle for the Basic Gray part. I paper pierced the Whisper White panel first, using Essentials Paper Piercing Pack, Stamped the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Sentiments in Strawberry Slush, then mounted it onto my Crumb Cake panel using Dimensionals.

This wonderful card base is created by taking a piece of card 29.5cm x 10cm, scoring it at 13cm, then punching each end with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, cutting off the bit that's left after punching. Then on the longest side I folded the tab into the card and tied it together with the Crumb Cake Seam Binding.

I really enjoyed making this card...once I had decided on the layering, the rest came together pretty quickly! And I do love the result!

We can't wait to see what you have made, and if you need more inspiration, do go check out the other DT!

In Color showcase!

Hi all!
As you know there is a brand new catalogue out on Tuesday (yay!!!), and with it are 5 beautiful new In Colours!

So today's offering is to show you each of the 5 colours...

No, not 5 projects...all of the colours on one! Admittedly when I started I had only intended to use 3, but the more I played the more I decided that all 5 would actually work!

I used the fabulous Hardwood stamp (Lost Lagoon) along with the very popular Petite Petals (Hello Honey) and Gorgeous Grunge (Tangelo Dream and Mossy Meadow)...these work so very well together! The sentiment from Happy Watercolor was stamped in Blackberry Bliss.

What do you think? Do all the colours work together?

So are you as excited as me about the new release? If you are, and you would like you very own catalogue complete with a little bookmark showing all of the new In Colors, please do contact me...I'd be more than happy to send you one! :)

For new customers, they are £5 including UK postage, which I will deduct off your first order, no minimum spend!

I am also happy to post catalogues to Germany, France, The Netherlands and Austria, where I can also sell to so please do contact me if you would like one!

I am going to the gym now, then I may attempt to put up our new tent that we got for a bargain from Argos! A 4 man Regatta all weather tent, reduced from £259.99 to just £99.99!! I'll let you know how I get on!

6 days to go!!!

Have a lovely Wednesday!

Lots of Bundles in a card in a box!

Good morning!
Did you have a good weekend?
Did you watch the football?? I did...I thought we played better than we have done for a long time...shame the result didn't reflect it!

Ah well...back to something we all love...crafting! Here is a card that was a commission for a couple who got married this weekend...

I was given a brief of bunting, spots and stripes, and informal...I think I covered it!

I used the Banner Greetings stamps from this year's Sale-a-bration for the bunting.

I then used a few bundles to create the flowers and the sentiments. Flower Shop, Petite Petals, Secret Garden and Label Love. These bundles are all 15% cheaper when you buy the stamps and punch/framelits together, but do hurry as some of them retire as a bundle on 30th June. (You will still be able to buy some of them individually, just not as a cheaper bundle).

I really enjoyed making this card...in fact, I love making Box Cards lots, I just don't have the time to make them with everything else!

I have Keiran's Sports day today, so I shall be dashing there after work today!

I shall be back tomorrow, so if you like what I posted today, why not become a follower by clicking on one of the links in the sidebar on the right >>>
I'd love it if you did! :)

Colours of my bedroom for Less Is More!

Hi everyone, especially my new follower, Crazy Bird! It's lovely to have you here, thank you! :)

How is your weekend going so far? I didn't blog yesterday as by the time my paper craft class had finished, it was a bit late! I will show you what we made tomorrow :)

Today, I have a super quick card which is my entry into the challenge at Less Is More. It has been ages since I entered (at least 2 weeks!) This week is a colour challenge and the them is

Colours of your bedroom

My bedroom is mostly white, but my bedding is a lovely pink and turquoise, so I went with that for my inspiration.

I used two of my favourite stamp sets; Gorgeous Grunge and Petite Petals. I really do love them and they work so well together!

I used the 'random' stamping technique to create the background, using Tempting Turquoise and Melon Mambo, then stamped and punched the flowers. I finished with a sentiment from Teeny Tiny Sentiments and some bling.

Here is what I used...

Swallowtail framed

Good morning everyone!

I would like to give a huge warm welcome to two of my 4 newest followers, Crafbiz and Astrid! I would say hi to all 4, but I think the other 2 are anonymous...welcome to you all!

Wow! I had an amazing weekend in Telford at the Stampin' Up! training event! I got to see some friends, meet some new ones, see some very exciting new products (squeeeealll!!), and I got tonnes of inspiration! I do love these get togethers....it's fab to meet up with a whole load of people who love doing what I love doing too!

I was lucky to share a room with one of the lovely demos, Paula, and I made her a little pillow gift, which I would like to share with you today... (thank you for sharing with me again hun!)

I decided to make a frame for her using this sentiment from the Feel Goods stamp set...I felt it was perfect for how far Paula has come on her Stampin' Up! journey!

I also used the beautiful Swallowtail stamp again, this time stamped in Bermuda Bay. I over stamped my sentiment with Versamark, then heat embossed with Pewter Stampin' Emboss.

Here is a Pistachio Pudding version. The flowers are from Petite Petals and are punch using the matching punch.

If you would like to order any of the items I have used here, please visit my online shop (link is over on the right>>>>) or please do contact me for more information and that personal touch!

We had a bit of a scare at the hotel in the early hours of Sunday morning. A customer decided to set of the fire alarm so at 4.35am we all had to evacuate the hotel while the police came and arrested the very silly man! I didn't get much sleep after that, as you can imagine!

I have to dash to work now...busy day today too...I have a wedding stationery order to finish when I get home!

Have a fabby Monday!
