A special 95th Birthday

Good evening!

First of all...a warm welcome to my newest follower, Traci...she sure does love her Cricut!

Well, I am hoping this is the first of many cards this week...I need a productive week as I have a lot of markets/stalls coming up!

I have made this one for one of our very dear customers at my bookie shop.

The papers are Soft Nostalgia by Hot Off The Press. The flower was made with the same papers using Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die, the leaves are Sizzix from Stampin' Up! and the ribbon is from my stash. I used nesties for the computer generated sentiment and the matt, and I used Antique Linen and Barn Door Distress Inks.

Less is More - Script

*my Sketch Saturday post is below - please scroll down!*

Good morning LIMettes!

Another week gone and another Less Is More challenge! I actually quite enjoyed last week's challenge, even though 'neutral' isn't my 'big' thing!

So this week the challenge is

One Layer - Script

Arggghhhhhhh!!

I actually have no script stamps or digis that I can think of!

So here is what I came up with...

Ok now I know you can't see but the pink panel is actually a Pink Petticoat text paper, squashed down because I could figure out how to crop it as I couldn't add it to any of my editing programs! The stamp is the bird from the free Sweet Treats set I used on one of last week's LIM cards and the sentiment is one of my free Wild Rose Studios ones. Love them! Both stamped with SU markers (Concord Crush & Wisteria Wonder)

So that's it! :)

Another quick thing before I go...as the wonderful LIMettes know, Lynne was awarded winner of the February prize at Less Is More. Well herself and her family are trying to raise money for a fantastic foundation called the Candlelighters as they are helping her family through a very difficult time while her 3 year old Granddaughter receives Chemotherapy for a tumor (read more on Lynnes blog). Please pop on over to her blog to donate if you can or click here. It is a very worthy cause!

Off to work now, then off to check out Jen's new craft room and maybe help to put it all back together!

Happy Saturday all!
