A cheery Thank You!

Good morning!
Today I'm sharing my DT card for CAS-Colours and Sketches with you. We have a yummy, bright colour combo for you all today...

I really love how cheerful these colours are, don't you? Here is how I used them...

I started by stamping the Gorgeous Grunge 'splatter' in Versamark, then heat embossed it with Wild Wasabi Stampin' Emboss powder (retired). I then added a piece of Daffodil Delight Seam Binding and some Strawberry Slush Thick Baker's Twine in a random fashion.

The flower is from the Flower Patch set, and I punched it with the Pansy Punch. I finished with a sentiment from Teeny Tiny Sentiments punched with the Word Window, and a Wild Wasabi Candy Dot.

I used the sketch at Retro Sketches for inspiration...

So go get your crafty on and see what you can come up with. We're looking forward to seeing your creations this week!

Happy Birthday Shelli!!

Good morning Sketchy fans!
It's time for our new challenge at Sketch Saturday, and this week Debra has designed our sketch...

As this post goes live, I shall be at the Stampin' Up! Convention in Brussels! It is Stampin' Up! founder Shelli's birthday this week so we were asked to design a card for her if we wanted to, and, all being well, they were all presented to her yesterday!

So here is the card I made...

I started off with some DSP from the Back To Black paper stack and once I decided to use this sentiment from Feel Goods, I thought Daffodil Delight would brighten the card and give a lovely contrast.

I inked the stamp with Stampin' Write Markers so that I could highlight the word 'sunshine' in Daffodil Delight. I finished with some Basic Black Chevron Ribbon, Daffodil Delight Seam Binding, a stamped and punched flower from Petite Petals and a Rhinestone coloured with a black marker pen.

I chose this particular sentiment as, thanks to Shelli and Stampin' Up!, there are a lot of happy Demos and customers out there, and Shelli is one shining example of positivity!

Happy Birthday Shelli!

Have a lovely weekend and hopefully I will be back with convention news on Monday!

Baubles!!

Good morning!
It's time for our new challenge at CAS-Colours and Sketches, and I have literally just made this card! I have such a hectic week that I just didn't get chance to design my card, and really thought I wasn't going to make it in time! But I was up at 6.30 this morning so I had a bonus half hour before Keiran got up!

So this week is a sketch from Louise...

And here is the quick card I made!

I have used a retired stamp and punch bundle for this. I heat embossed the baubles with Cherry Cobbler and Gold Stampin' Emboss.

I embossed the bottom panel with the Modern Mosaic EF...it kind of matches the baubles don't you think? The ribbon is Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding.

Here is what I used...
If you would like any of the items I used, I would be very happy to place an order for you, or, if you prefer, you can simply click on the pictures to find the items in my shop :)

Right...time to go and get breakfast ready! Have a lovely Thursday!

Pretty engagement using Everything Eleanor

I had a request for an engagement card last week, so I dug out my Hearts Framelits and this is what I made...

One of my favourite stamp set is Everything Eleanor, simply because it is so girly and has such a soft feel about it. I stamped the swirls in Lost Lagoon onto some printed vellum from my stash before adding a strip of Soft Sky Seam Binding.

I then printed a sentiment in MDS and die cut it and another heart, then embossed the bigger heart with the Pretty Print Embossing folder, which is still available in the Clearance Rack for only £4.49! It is, and probably always will be my favourite ever embossing folder!

The flowers were stamped onto Vellum in Hello Honey, then I used my fab, super sharp Paper Snips to fussy cut them out. I also tucked a fussy cut swirl between them. I finished with three pearls for elegance.

What do you think of this one? Pretty isn't it? I do love the softness of these two colours together.

Here is what I used...
I was sat in my craft room the other day, making thank you gifts for my lovely customers, and I realised just how many lovely customers I have! I thoroughly enjoy making them something to say thank you...a little pressie or just a card...just something to let them know how much I appreciate them! That is one of the best things about being a demonstrator...all the lovely people I get to meet! :)

Have a wonderful Tuesday!

I'm back!

Good morning!!
Wow I feel like I haven't blogged for an age! In case you didn't know, I have been away in Holland for a week, and I have been busy with wedding stationery since I got back, so last night was the first chance to have a little play in my craft room!

Here's what I made...

I had a really good run on notebooks at my last fair so I thought I should get a start on some more. This one is a cheap hardback book I bought from a local shop, and I stamped directly onto the cover using one of the lovely new Hostess stamp sets, Bloom With Hope. I really love this set...there are some gorgeous flowers and really lovely sentiments too.

I stamped one of the flower stamps repeatedly in Baked Brown Sugar, then I used Lost Lagoon and an Aqua Painter pen to colour the flowers. I finished with the Very Vanilla Seam Binding and some Linen Thread.

I will hopefully get back into the swing of things now, so I shall see you tomorrow with my DT card for CAS-Colours and Sketches.

Have a lovely day!

Sketch Saturday

Good morning!
Today is my last full day here in Holland, staying with our wonderful friends Simon, Marco and their 3 lovely children. As always, we will be very sad to be leaving.

Today Simone is having a party for her 40th birthday, which is on Monday, so I have made her this card using our new sketch at Sketch Saturday this week.

Here is the sketch...

And here is my card...

A lot of this card has been created using elements from MDS...the sentiment and the Twitterpated Designer Paper are all printed from there.

I die cut the sentiment panel using my Labels Collection Framelits before paper piercing using the Paper Piercing Essentials pack. The embossed panel is created using the Beautiful Baroque EF. I finished with a little Soft Sky Seam Binding and some gems.

I hope you will join in our challenge this week!

Scalloped Tag Topper Birthday

Good morning!
It's Thursday which must mean a new challenge at CAS - Colours and Sketches, and this week it's a colour challenge.

I had to think a little for this one, as I couldn't figure out how to combine the 3 colours without going for my usual favoured stamp sets...Gorgeous Grunge, Petite Petals and Papillon Potpourri! In the end, this is what I came up with...

Ok, yes, I used Petite Petals! What can I say...I'm getting my money's worth out of that wonderful bundle! I also used the Label Love Bundle for the Basic Gray part. I paper pierced the Whisper White panel first, using Essentials Paper Piercing Pack, Stamped the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Sentiments in Strawberry Slush, then mounted it onto my Crumb Cake panel using Dimensionals.

This wonderful card base is created by taking a piece of card 29.5cm x 10cm, scoring it at 13cm, then punching each end with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, cutting off the bit that's left after punching. Then on the longest side I folded the tab into the card and tied it together with the Crumb Cake Seam Binding.

I really enjoyed making this card...once I had decided on the layering, the rest came together pretty quickly! And I do love the result!

We can't wait to see what you have made, and if you need more inspiration, do go check out the other DT!

A pretty, retired notebook.

Hi everyone!
I was so chuffed to see so many visits my blog yesterday...it's lovely to know that so many people like to see my creations...I am flattered!

Ok so today, I have an altered notebook for you...

I removed the rather un-inspiring covers and added new ones, after decorating the front one with flowers from the Secret Garden stamp set, stamped in Pool Party and Basic Gray.

I also used the matching Framelits to cut out and layer one flower, which I coloured using my blender pen. The Smoky Slate banner is stamped with En Francais. I tied Pool Party Seam Binding around the spirals to make it super girly!

Sadly, both these stamps, the Framelits and the Seam Binding are on the retiring list, which you can find here, so if they're on your wishlist, then now would be the time to get them! I for one will be very sad to see them go.

Here is what I used...
