Unusual coloured snowflake, and exciting news!

Good evening all!
So if you popped by last night or earlier today, you will have seen me mention the new Spring/Summer catalogue, which launches tomorrow! You will also remember that I said I would have more news today? Well I have!

But you'll have to wait until after I show another of my Christmas cards. I was asked to make some 'different' coloured cards, and this is just one of them...

I decided that I would try Hello Honey and Rich Razzelberry...can't get much more different right?! I die cut a snowflake from the Snowflake Card Thinlits Dies into my top layer, and stamped my sentiment from Endless Wishes, also in Rich Razzelberry and Hello Honey.

I coloured some Silver Glimmer Paper using a Rich Razzelberry Stampin' Write Marker and popped it behind the snowflake...it's very sparkly in real life! I finished with a Basic Rhinestone.

You have until 10.55pm tonight to order from the Autumn Winter catalogue, so do get in quick if there is anything you have your eye on!

Ok so you want to hear the other awesome news right??

Well here goes...
Along with the launch of the Spring/Summer catalogue, I am also very excited to tell you about the best time in the Stampin' Up! year!

A little gift

Good morning everyone!
I know I'm being a bad blogger just lately, but it really is a busy time of year for me, what with Christmas orders, Keeping up with Keiran's activities, getting myself ready for Christmas...

But today I thought I would share some little gifts I made for my card class ladies...

These are really lovely little chocolate holders, just perfect for 2 Green and Blacks minis! The measurements for these are 5cm x 23com, then I used the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch to punch each end.

I tied these together with Lost Lagoon Silky Taffeta Ribbon. The snowflake and the 'joy' were die cut from the Snowflake Card Thinlits Die out of Dazzling Details Glimmer Paper. I then spritzed 'joy' with a Spritzer filled with IPA Alcohol and a few drops of Lost Lagoon ink.

*TOP TIP* If you don't have re-inkers, simply scraped a few drops of ink from your ink pad and drop into the spritzer!

We had a fab class this week, making crackers and desktop calendars! I shall be releasing my dates for 2015 classes in the next few days....keep your eyes peeled!

A one layer Festival of Tree!

Hello again!
Here is another of the lovely Christmas cards I made last week...this one is truly simple!

This is another aperture card...I think they offer a lot of interest without too much fuss, don't you? Again, see how the light shine's through, just like yesterday's card?

I began by die cutting the tree shape using the die from the Snowflake Card Thinlits. The Magnetic platform for the Bigshot made sure my little tree stayed in position whilst I die cut it...I don't know how I managed before I got mine!

then I carefully, and very lightly, drew through the aperture the outline of the tree. This was my guide for stamping one of the trees from the Festival of Trees stamps on the inside of the card.

I then simply line up the stamp inside the pencil lines and stamped my Pear Pizzazz tree, which was easy as they are Photopolymer so I could see exactly where I was stamping. The sentiment is from the Good Greetings stamp set and I used my Stamp-a-ma-Jig to perfectly place that. I finished with a few tiny nail art gems.

The Good Greetings stamp set is an exclusive set, available FREE, only if you place an order of £200 or more. You can either place a lovely yummy order yourself, get friends and family to combine an order with you, or host a party and if the sales reach £200, you will receive the set FREE!

Please contact me for more information on this fabulous offer!

Here is what I used today...

A Festival of Trees!

Good morning!
It's Friday! Which I am sure is good for many of you, but I shall be working this weekend so not much crafty time for me.

Today I have a card made with yet another one of my new stamp sets...

I used the gorgeous All Is Calm DSP (again!) for the background of my card, the cut an oval out of my top layer before embossing it with the Decorative Dots EF. I then die cut an oval frame from the super sparkly Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper.

*the Ovals collection Framelits are currently on the Weekly deals for just £17.21 until Tuesday only!*

I then stamped one of the trees from the Festival of Trees stamp set twice without re-inking to give a two tone effect. I punched them out using the matching punch...the stamp and punch are available as a bundle at 15% off...how fab is that?!

I then added the sentiment which I die cut using the banner from the Snowflake Card Thinlit die set.

Here is what I used...

Endless Wishes for Christmas

Hiya peeps!
I would like to extend a very warm welcome to my newest follower Kim...I hope you enjoy my blog and get lots of inspiration from it! :)

I'm back with a cute and simple Christmas card today. I recently got a pack of All Is Calm DSP, and wow! It is stunning! It is a gorgeous soft combo of Pistachio Pudding, Lost Lagoon and Smoky Slate...beautiful! So here is a tiny little bit of it...

See...isn't it lovely?! The sentiment is from Endless Wishes and stamped in Lost Lagoon and Pistachio Pudding. As they are Photopolymer stamps, it was really easy to line up these two separate words!

For the topper I die cut both snowflakes from Dazzling Details Glimmer Paper using the Snowflake Card Thinlit set. I added a Basic Rhinestone, which I coloured with the lightest Old Olive Blendie, just to make it stand out a little. Can you see how very super sparkly that Glimmer Paper is?? Love it very much!!

Here is what I used...
I used the lovely sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch as inspiration for my card :)

I have a lovely day of crafting and church planned today, then taking Keiran for his swimming lesson...happy Wednesday!

25 years of wedded bliss!

Hello crafty peeps!
How are you today? I am here, late again, with my DT post for this week's Sketch Saturday! I had the card made, but just didn't get round to writing up the post! So here is our sketch this week...

Anyway, I went to the silver wedding party of Mike's boss last night, so of course, I needed a suitable card. So here is what I made...

I used a few Stampin' Up! bits and a few bits from my stash to make this. I used MDS for the sentiment, The hearts are from the fabulous upcoming Autumn/Winter catalogue, from the Snowflake Card Thinlit Die set, and the ribbon is the gorgeous Whisper White Organza Ribbon.

The other items are from my stash which is gradually diminishing, finally!

The card was very well received and I was even told I should've brought some business cards to hand round! Oh well...must be better prepared in the future!

So how will you interpret out sketch this week?

Snowflake Flip card!

Good morning!
I am continuing the Christmas theme this morning...do I here an 'oh no!!!' ? Haha well I have to get started sometime! ;)

For this card, I have used the fabby new Snowflake Card Thinlit Dies to make this wonderful flip card.

I embossed the right side of the card using the Festive Flurry EF, and added die cut words from the Framelit set. The sentiment in the middle is stamped onto a punched out Artisan Label, using the

The snowflakes are cut out of Silver Glimmer Paper, as are the words. I finished by colouring a gem using a Coastal Cabana Blendablilities...how amazing does it look??!!

I haven't entered any challenges for a while, so I am entering this into a couple....

I hope to show more samples from the Autumn/Winter catalogue this week! Enjoy your Wednesday!
