Botanical Beauties

Hello again! 

Well, today is my birthday so I thought I would share a birthday card with you today :) I've used a wonderful new set of dies for this card, along with a free stamp. Yes you heard right...FREE! 

These are the Botanical Builder Framelits...aren't they fabulous?! There is so much potential for these! :) I cut the flowers out from Daffodil Delight card and inked them with Pumpkin Pie ink and a Sponge Dauber. The leaves are Always Artichoke and I used the matching stamp set, Botanical Blooms, to stamp the veins on them.

Now remember me mentioning the free stamp? Well the sentiment is from that set, which is Sky Is The Limit. I love how the sentiment makes it useful for girly cards as well as man cards!

Stampers 6 goodies!

Please excuse my lack of post yesterday...I had been making Wedding invitations until late and didn't get chance to write up a post. 

Today I'd like to share my Stampers 6 card and little gift with you. Each month when I send my ladies their orders, I like to include a little something for them...because I love them!

This month's little set was made using a couple of my current favourites...Hardwood Background stamp and Petite Petals and matching punch.

The little box of goodies is an upcycled Stampin' Up! embellishment tub. I couldn't bear to throw them away so I decided to fill them with bits of goodies and send them to my lovely ladies!

Easter Tulips

Hello and welcome to my new look blog!

If you are visiting from Creatin' and Stampin', I hope you will follow me here instead and continue to use my blog to inspire you! 

Do you like the design of my blog? I am very proud to say that it is all my creation and I used Stampin' Up! MDS to make it all pretty! It took a while, but I am very happy with it indeed!

I have also transferred all my posts over from my old blog too, so if you have missed any, please have a little browse...you never know what you might find! ;)

Ok so I guess you'd like to see a card or two right?

Well I can do better than that...today I have another set of five for you!

For these I have used Blessed Easter again, but as promised yesterday, I have used the entire stamp this time. I've coloured the tulips with my Stampin' Write markers. 

I stamped an extra set of flowers for each card, coloured and paper snipped them, curled them, then popped them on the cards using silicone glue. I like the 'real' effect I got by giving them dimension.

These are really simple cards but they look so pretty don't you think?

Up, Up & Away!

Happy Monday! No? Oh well....sorry lol!

Have you had a good weekend? I had a lovely one spent with my gorgeous little man!

I did manage to quickly make a couple of cards though, after he'd gone to bed...here is one of them.

This is the last 'retiring' card...I have used Up, Up and Away...another fab set that I'm sad to see go. I stamped it perfectly using my Stamp-a-majig tool in Lucky Limeade and Pumpkin Pie.

I again stamped the background using the 'acrylic block' technique!

Aren't they fab? I really love these little balloons...just wish I'd used them more!

Good morning!

Isn't it gorgeous again today?? I had a pleasurable afternoon in my garden yesterday, relaxing, them planting out some Mesembryanthemums and watering; I'm hoping for a bright colourful garden this year, as well as fruitful with all our veg again!

Anyway, here is a nice bright summery card for you today...

I matted the image panel onto Pumpkin Pie DSP.

I am entering my card into the Muse challenge this week...I think I took the lovely inspiration card quite literally this time!

I hope to spend a little more time in the garden today, but I also have a large card order to complete so may have to get on with that instead!

Zesty Birthday!

Good morning!

Here is one of the cards I made yesterday after it started raining whilst I was trying to plant some seeds....don't think I'm ever going to grow anything this year! :/

I have very simply made a 1cm thick frame out of Crumb Cake, coloured the Stacks of Wishes Hostess stamp in Lucky Limeade, Melon Mambo and Pumpkin Pie, and finished with a triplet of nail gems. A very sweet and simple card...great to have in the stash, just in case!

Up in the sky!

Hello!
I hope you've had a fab weekend! I have been working most of it but I did get a crafty afternoon/evening with Jen on Saturday, and here is one of the cards I made...

Since I got my sewing machine I have been a little bit addicted to using it, so when I found a fantastic kit with loads of different threads and matching spools in Aldi for about £3.50 I had to have it! So I used the orange thread for this card, which is almost an exact match for Pumpkin Pie! I turned the wheel by hand for the circular bit though...not brave enough to try at full speed yet!

Oh Mittens!

Good evening!

Ooooh it's snowing here! Normally I would be very excited by that, but it may put paid to plans I had this weekend :( Oh well, we shall see...

For now, here is a card using some of my newest goodies! I ummmed and ahhhed over getting this stamp and punch set, but knowing that it won't be available after January, I decided to just get it!

I'm sure you've seen it around, but I'm super glad I got it, even if I am a bit late lol!

Can you see the fab embossing? That is using the brand new Needlepoint Embossing folder from the new Spring/Summer Catalogue, out on February 1st! I used both folders, one on my DP, one on my sentiment.

This was again stamped using my Stampin' Write Markers to colour the stamp before stamping...my fave technique! I love the colours I've used too...unusual for Christmas. My colours were inspired by the challenge at Colour Throwdown this week.
