Bullseye!

Hello there!
Here is a quick post before I go to work. It's a card I've made for my friend Gav's Birthday, from his Mother-in-Law.

He loves playing darts so this was perfect! The decoupaged image is Life Smiles from Craft Creations and all the backing papers are from my stash. And that's it!
I'm entering this into the Willow Sketchie challenge.
Bye for now! :)

Good Morning!
And it's Saturday morning which can mean only one thing......the Less Is More challenge! And this week it's
which means to combine 3 of their last challenges.
So here is a little card I've made quickly before I go to work and visit my friend Jackie in Rochdale later......

I have chosen White on White, Butterflies and Embossing. The sentiment didn't stamp properly but I have to go so I'll fix it later!
Right, off to work now! See you all later! :)

I got out of bed for this?!!

Good morning all!
Well I got up this morning and decided I should probably do some ironing, then decided I'd rather craft lol! So I did! And as I was feeling a little guilty about not doing the ironing, I thought this was the next best thing!

Anyone who is following me will know that over the last few days I have been trying to make cards without cutting into any new sheets of paper, printing any new papers or digis and using up some of my stash in general! So this image from the Born To Shop range was already coloured in, and the papers were scraps from the stash. I even used a slightly smaller card blank as I never use them up! I stamped the background too! The 'brads' are from a dress......a few fell off and spoiled the pattern so I took them all off! :)
Inspirations......
Right, off to make lunch, get Keiran to nursery, have my driving lesson and go to work! May be back later! ;)

Bunches Of Birthday Wishes!

Hello again!
Well I really seem to be on a bit of a roll the latter end of this week! I decided to check out some new blogs for challenges and it seems to have re-invented my mojo, for a while anyway!
So here is a little creation I made This afternoon and just finished now.

The image is (again) Pollycraft......another that was already coloured (with Promarkers) in my stash! The papers are Dovecraft Back 2 Basics, the ribbon from the stash, and the flowers were made from scraps of paper using Marianne Designables and some seed beads.
Inspirations......
Pheww......lots of challenges for this one!
Have a fab evening/weekend and ta for peeking! :)

Secret Birthday gift

Hey all!
I have an unusual card to show you this evening! I have made a 'gift card!'

I have made the whole card out of the Love Letters 8x8 paper stack. I got the template for the flower from one of the magazines recently, though I'm sorry that I can't remember which. I photocopied the background paper and used it as the insert to brighten the inside of the card too. The sentiment circle is Craftwork Cards and hung on a ribbon inside the flower is a pair of earrings! The thing I like about this card is that the card is still attractive, even when the earrings have been removed! :)
I am entering this into 2 challenges......
Thanks for looking!

Happy Day!

Good afternoon!
Yay I've made another card! I'm trying not to let my mojo slip too far......it has been quite elusive lately! I am also attempting to use up all the stamps and digis I have printed and/or coloured! I have so many and there are so many more I want.......sorry, no, NEED! ;) I'm sure everyone feels the same lol! Anyway, here is one I have managed to use up......

This cute little Tomboy is from Pollycraft and she's coloured with Promarkers. I have used a Wild Rose Studio flowery backgound paper and First Editions green swirly and pink striped papers. Finished with Card Candi and a Papermania sentiment. The ribbon was just a small scrap I had.
Inspirations......
(I have been on Feline Playful and found some new challenges to enter today!)
Thanks for looking!

Wedding Shaker Card

Good evening!
Well I'm glad that I did manage to do a little crafting tonight......I just don't feel like I have been at all productive this week! So here is what I've come up with......

First of all, I apologise for the rubbish photos...the light is bad and my camera is still broken! :( But the card is pretty! :) I have had these LOTV cute squares for ages and only ever used one from the pack so I thought it would be nice to get them out and dust them off! I simply cut it into a circle and added the shaker circle with silver Flowersoft (something else I rarely use!) and a couple of doves. I then cut out the centre of a doily I got this week off ebay and used that to mount the shaker part to the card. It was a clever way of not having to cut the card or try covering it up on the back! I finished by using my corner punch and adding 2 hearts on the inside of the card, that also show through to the front. The lace was from offcuts from the local haberdashery. Oh and I chalked the doily in pink :)
I'm entering this into the following challenges......

Hope you like! :)

BINGO! Crafting for all Seasons challenge #8

Good afternoon all!
Well what a lot of great entries into our last challenge, Tags! It has been really tough choosing our top 3!
Anyway, onto this week's challenge.......BINGO!
The idea is to choose a line to incorporate into your card. I have made 2 cards for this challenge, the first is from our sponsor, The Stamping Boutique.

The image is 'Noah's Ark' and as soon as I saw it I knew how I was going to colour it! I used Promarkers for this.I made a circular card, added 2 embossed circles for the background and a lilac gingham ribbon. I also made the sea out of tissue paper. I finished with the button flowers and some glossy and sparkly bits on the rainbow and windows.

The second card I've made is using one of the gorgeous FREE digis from Sliekjestamps

This little man has been coloured using Promarkers, and is mounted onto snowflake embossed card. I added some cotton wool for snow, Martha Stewart snowflakes, buttons and some ribbon. I really urge you to go over to Sliekjestamps and have a look at her blog and remember, all the digis are FREE!! :)
I am entering these cards into the following challenges........
Hope you like these cards and hopefully I'll get chance to do some more crafting this week! :)

Ooh La La Challenge #87

Good morning all!
I am here with my DT card for our challenge at Ooh La La this week which is No Backing Paper. Now that really is quite tricky! Anyway, once I chose my image it was quite simple really! Actually, I found the hat pins and then chose an image to match as I have never used any before!
So I mounted the image panel onto some red card, wrapped the ribbon around a strip of white card to attach it neatly to the base, added my bow, hat pins and sentiment from Papermania, and a couple of gems. I do actually quite like it too, simple as it is! :)
Do come over and join the challenge, we'd love to see all your fab creations! :)

Oh Pants!

Goood morning!
Well I feel much more refreshed this morning than yesterday morning, I can tell you! We took Keiran for a procedure to have a lump removed off his eyebrow on Thursday, which should have been a routine procedure, but it swelled up too much so he had to go down for a second time to have it drained, all of this under general anaesthetic :(  So I had to stay in hospital overnight with him, on a bed that was somewhat too short for me lol! And I'm not that tall! Anyway, he is doing fine now and is back to bouncing around as usual!

ANd now onto this morning's challenge and the reason I get out of bed at 7.45am on a Saturday!! 'Something that moves' from Lady & Diva LIM over at Less Is More.
I made this for the special man in my life as he has just moved into his new flat, after living with his parents for a while after he split from his previous girlfriend. Why pants? One thing he said to me was that he couldn't wait to move so he could wander round in his underpants again! So I figured pants on a washing line would be perfect and humorous for him! And I think they would class as 'something that moves', if it was breezy lol! Quite simply, they are hand drawn onto some scraps of paper and cut out, with a doodled washing line.
Hope you like and hope to enter again later this week with something interesting! And I really do hope I get chance to comment this week....things are just so crazy at the moment!
TFL!

Wishing you Happiness

Good evening all!
And it is actually a lovely evening too! I have had a lovely afternoon with my Mum and Dad, digging up all the potatoes from the garden and picking plums from next door's tree (Maria said we could!). We also picked our 1 large runner bean and had that for tea with the potatoes and plums....mmmm yum! :)

Anyway, I have made this card for the Less Is More One Layer - Use Ink (in a different way) challenge this week. I made the same card a few weeks ago and it was featured in CM&P mag as I won the stamps from their Friday challenge on Facebook. I decided to make it again, as I sold the original at the market on Saturday!

The stamps are Hippie Girl from Kaisercraft and the big butterflly is from cArt-us.com. I simply inked the stamp with various Versacolour inks and stamped it. It was a little tricky to make sure the right bits got the right colours but it worked in the end! A little tip-after I had ink the whole stamp, I breathed 'huh' onto the ink which revitalised it so it would stamp.
Hope you like! I don't often make the same card twice but I really like how this one came out! :)
Have a nice evening!

CocktaIl Nikki!

Hello! Here is a card I've made for my friend Nikki's Birthday.

The stamp is Cocktail Nikki from Ladybug Crafts Ink and she is coloured with Promarkers, and highlighted with glitter! The raindrops were dipped in glue and glitter too!
I have made this to fit these challenges......

Wedding Memory Box

Another one for this morning!
This one is a memory box I have made for my friends Nikki and Gav for their Wedding Memories, based on their wedding invitations.

The butterflies are a Tonic punch, the ribbon is Hobbycraft, and the blue shimmery paper is actually a coloured rectangle I inserted into Word then printed onto white shimmery card!
I am entering this into......
Craft Your Passion - ABC (anything but a card!)
Flutterby Wednesday's - Open
Have a good day! :)

It's a Pirate's Life!

Good morning!
When is the weather going to brighten up?? I mean, it's great for the garden but my veg plot needs some sun too!
Anyway, I here is a birthday invitation I have been asked to make for my friend's 30th birthday party!
The image is Pollycraft, coloured with Promarkers. I then digitally created the background, in Word, and found the rum and treasure chest images on Google. This was such a fun character to colour in! I have scanned this card as I am going to photocopy 55 invites!
Hope you like it!

Thanks for looking and please leave a comment...I love reading them! :)

Golden Snowflakes

Hi all!
Here is a card I have quickly made to try out my new gold Encore ink pad......Encore really are the best metallic inks IMHO! :)

I have made a card blank from purple shimmer card from Anne Marie Designs, and I then punched two snowflakes out of a piece of paper to use as templates. The larger is Martha Stewart, the smaller is just a random one. I then just placed them at points around the card blank and inked through the templates (shown in the picture). The sentiment is a freebie from a mag but it's from Crafts Beautiful. I wanted to put some gold gems or pearls in the middle of a couple of the snowflakes but I can't seem to find them!
This is obviously to enter into the LIM One Layer - Use Ink challenge this week! And I have to say, it really is a challenge, trying to come up with new ways of using ink! I shall be blog hopping tonight for ideas and techniques! :)
Oh and sorry about the photo......my camera is making it very hard to take pics since the screen has gone!

Hello Grandma!

Good morning all!
Yes I am up very bright and early this morning! I have had a lovely weekend away visiting York, Wetherby and Knaresborough and doing a lot of walking! But now I'm back and back to work this morning at 8am!
But here is a card I had to make very quickly last night for a lady who is coming into work this morning to pick it up. It is to announce her pregnancy to the Grandma-to-be!
The image was one I found online from My Grafico and I thought it was cute! I coloured it with Promarkers then cut it out and layered it onto a white square. The text says 'hello Grandma!' and the yellow gingham paper is from Pink Petticoat. The little feet are punched using a border punch. Woodware I think.
I'm entering this into the The Sweet Stop - Sketch #121 Challenge.
Thanks for looking! :)

Use Ink!

Good morning on this (yet again) dull Saturday in August!
At least we have the Less Is More challenge to get us up and raring to go eh LIMettes?! Speaking of which, here is the card I have quickly made before I go out for the day to York, with my new man, Pete! The challenge this week is One Layer Card - Use Ink! Now I don't know too many techniques but it was really nice to colour this in with ink pads rather than the usual Promarkers!
The picture above shows how I used a tile to dab the ink onto so I could use water and a paintbrush to apply them to my card.
And this is the finished result! The stamp is a freebie from Simply Homemade a few issues ago, and it's the first time it's been inked!
Hope you like it! Have a fab Saturday all! :)

Christmas in August

Good morning all! Here is another card I made yesterday.

Yes it is another Pollycraft image lol! Can't help it......I love them! I have coloured it with Promarkers and die cut it out with a Nesties Labels set, which I then chalked the edges of. The poinsettia is Marianne Designables and the paper is a freebie Kate Knight Christmas pack from last year. The pearls are from Dunelm Mill, and the ribbon is from another t-shirt! I finished with a touch of glitter.
This card is for these challenges......
Ta for looking......may be back later.......

Pollycraft Birthday

Here is another one for today......it is 'recycle week' at Pollycraft, so here are the bits I've recycled for this card......
The card was one I was printing out for a friend's invites but the printer ran out of ink but didn't stop to tell me, lol, so I ended up with about 10 that didn't print right, so I'm using the back of them for any white bits I need for cards......waste not, want not! The ribbon is from the shoulder of a t-shirt and the buttons are collected/donated since I started cardmaking! Here is the card......

The image is Pollycraft and The Papers are Back To Basics, mounted on the re-used card.. I have coloured my digi with Promarkers and used the largest Scalloped Circle Nestie on which to mount her (using the recycled card!). I then finished with my button and ribbon, and a Papermania sentiment. I went for Birthday rather than good luck (4 leafed clover) as I don't seem to have a good luck stamp!
Hope you like it! I am entering it into the following challenges......
TTFN! :)

Less Is More - Colours of your flag

Hey again!

I've had these fab heart Nesties for a while now but not used them much so I decided to give them a run through the Joy! I used the 2 largest, and the smallest. I was initially going to put them 'square' on the card but I dropped one at an angle and quite liked it so that's how they ended up like this! The sentiment in handwritten......not often I do that!
Hope you like it! There are some gorgeous creations this week......I am finding it hard to craft and comment at the moment but I will try to remedy that later this week! :)

Steampunker (CFAS #7)

Good afternoon everyone!
It's Wednesday and it's time for our new fortnightly challenge at Crafting For All Seasons. Our challenge this fortnight is......
We are very lucky to be sponsored by TIDDLY INKS and they are giving a $10 gift certificate to the lucky winner! Here is my card......

I decided to be brave this time and go for Steampunker as it's somewhat out of my comfort zone. I have to say though, that I thoroughly enjoyed making this card, and I used some Paper Cellar papers that have just sat around not doing much for a while! I coloured her with Promarkers, and made a tag out of one sheet of the Paper Cellar paper, which I then attached my cut out image to. The background is from the same paperstack and I attached it at an angle to create a different effect. I sanded the edges of both papers for a vintage look. I finished with the lace, flowers and gems.
I am really happy with how this turned out, and you know what? I already sold it! To a lovely little, old lady on my market on Saturday! Who'd have thought it eh?!
Oh and talking of the market, and the 'big' order I had.......the ladies who placed the order were totally over the moon with the cards I made for them! And they even bought 3 more from me! :D

Anyway, get on over to CFAS and show us your fab creations! :)

Ooh La La Challenge #86

Good morning all!
Well this week, thankfully, I am on time with my DT card for our Ooh La La challenge, which is
CHRISTMAS!

The image is one of the 'plates' from the Quick Makes For Christmas cd. I sprayed the background panel with Spraymount and then sprinkled it with glitter. The dies are all Marianne Designables which I have finished with glitter. It is extremely glittery in real life!
Hope you like it! :)

White Rose (of Yorkshire!)

Good morning again! And again it is a very dull, wet and generally horrid day here in Bolton, but I'm not all that bothered as I'm working all day! So before I go, I thought I would share this quick card I have made to enter into the Less Is More 'Colours of your Nation's Flag' this week.

I decided to make a rose, somewhat inspired by Mandi's English Rose. However, I went for the good old Yorkshire Rose, as that is where I am originally from (Huddersfield!). I made to rose by die cutting the 3 smallest Scalloped Nestie circles, spraying each with water and then scrunching them up. Open them out, push a brad through the middle of each to make the flower, then scrunch them again before gently opening out to how you want them to look. The ribbon is from the shoulder of a cardigan and the stamp is Papermania.
I love how simple this was to make and how effective it is :)

Party Time!

Good morning LIMettes!
Well it is a very dull and wet looking day here in Bolton today, and I shall be going to do my market shortly, but not before I quickly made this card for this week's Less Is More challenge which is Colours of your Nation's Flag! Now this could be interesting!
I am from England and the minute anyone says Red,White & Blue to me I immediately think of bunting! Dunno why lol! Anyway, with the Queen's Jubilee next year, I thought this would work quite well for a party invitation......

The bunting stamp is a freebie from Simply Homemade's first issue, by Molly Blooms and I colour it with Promarkers and cut it out. I then layered it onto the same image stamped directly onto the card. The sentiment is pc printed. Hope you like it!
Off to the market now......hope the weather doesn't keep people away...... it was thundering 2 minutes ago!
