A special 95th Birthday

Good evening!

First of all...a warm welcome to my newest follower, Traci...she sure does love her Cricut!

Well, I am hoping this is the first of many cards this week...I need a productive week as I have a lot of markets/stalls coming up!

I have made this one for one of our very dear customers at my bookie shop.

The papers are Soft Nostalgia by Hot Off The Press. The flower was made with the same papers using Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die, the leaves are Sizzix from Stampin' Up! and the ribbon is from my stash. I used nesties for the computer generated sentiment and the matt, and I used Antique Linen and Barn Door Distress Inks.

Good morning LIMettes!

I know...not been around for a couple of weeks. To be honest, not done much crafting for a couple of weeks to be honest. I was really ill 2 weeks ago and it has taken alot out of me, and now I can feel a sore throat coming on...oh well...I have managed to make a card for the Lucky Dip at Less Is More challenge this week which is

It has taken me almost an hour and a half to design something though...dunno what's wrong with me! :/

Very simply, this is a Stampin' Up! Embossing strip, another EF though don't know what make, possibly Crafts Too, a Nestie heart, a Wild Rose Studio sentiment and wedding rings from Dunelm Mill.

Ok I think I better get ready for work...good job I didn't have an early start today! ;)

Morning all!

Oh what a hectic life I lead! I thought Keiran going to school was going to ease things and give me more time...oh no! I seem to be busier than ever lol!

Anyway, I'm here with my next DT card for Sketch Saturday, and this week we are sponsored by The Craft Barn.

I've made this card for a commission for my friend's little boy's 2nd birthday.

This is a fab stamp I picked up for £1 a few months ago and it's the first time I've used it! Isn't it fab?? I've coloured it with Promarkers and used First Edition Animal Antics paper on a Kraft card blank. The number 2 is cut out using a Die-Namics die.

Things with Wings for CFAS

Hello everyone!

Well....I have been sooooo poorly the last few days :( I have had what can only be described as 'just short of flu'. Aches, shivers, cough, lack of appetite, shortness of breath...not good! I'm not 100% even now and I suspect it will be a while before I am, but I am back at work at least, so hopefully the crafting won't be too far behind!

Less is More - use and oval

Hello!

I had to work this morning, and get Keiran ready to go to his Dad's so I'm a little late with my Less Is More card this week...at least I've done one though, unlike last week!

The challenge this week is to use an oval somewhere on your card. This is made using one of Jen's SU! sets...not sure which...and SU! Markers. I made a frame using an oval nestie and finished with a Wild Rose Studio sentiment and 3 pink gems.

I'm off to Jen's now for a crafting session...better get packing lol!

Let it snow!

I think I am well into the Christmas card making now! I have made a total of 18 Christmas cards in the last 3 days! Ok, so that was a pack of 5 and 2 packs of 6, but still...

So here is Christmas card #18

It's a shame it doesn't sparkle much in the pictures, but it is quite sparkly in real life! I have used a Clarity Stamps stamp...sorry but I don't know the name as I got it at a craft fair along with another one, for £1 each, off a lady who was having a clear out...bargain!

I stamped it twice and cut out the tree and the snow and decoupaged them to give depth to the scene. Martha Stewart border punch and snowflake, computer generated sentiment, ribbon from stash and glitter...done!

More packs of Christmas cards!

Hey there! 

I hope this miserable weather isn't dampening the spirits too much. I don't think it has stopped raining for 2 days here lol! 

On the upside, rainy weather means more crafting time! :) Last night I got to making some more packs of Christmas cards...2 packs the same actually...

I have made these using the fab sketch over at Retro Sketches this week, which I think is a the perfect sketch for batch cards. The stamp was in the 99p bin at Hobbycraft and I have stamped with Emboss ink and embossed with Amber Rose and Seafoam White WOW embossing powders. I mixed a little glitter into the white one before embossing for a little Christmas sparkle. The red ribbon is Club Green and the white is just from my stash. All the card is from Anna Marie Designs.

I've made 12 of these cards, 6 of each so I plan to make 2 mixed packs of 6 to sell at my craft fairs this year.

First 5 pack Of Christmas Cards for 2012

Good morning!

Well I am back feeling very refreshed and ready to get on with crafting for my market after a fantastic weekend visiting very good friends in Holland! It was such a brilliant weekend, and I finally got chance to go inside a real, old fashioned, working windmill...something I have wanted to do for a long time!

Anyway, after dropping Keiran at school this morning, I came back and got straight into the craft room! Christmas cards were on the agenda this morning, and here is what I have made...

I have used Papermania Joyeux Noel papers, Marianne dies and some scrap ribbon from inside the shoulder of a shirt. 

 I am trying to come up with some designs for packs of cards, and so here is one pack of 5.

I quite like the simplicity of the cards, and they didn't take too long to make, once everything was prepared, so I might make a few packs in different colours and papers. It's a great way to use up some of the tonnes of DP I have lying around too!!

The world got a present...

I have actually had a productive evening...not only have I prepared all our meals up til Thursday lunchtime, but I have also made 3 cards! One DT card, one commission card, and one for fun!

Here is the one for fun...

I stamped the Stampin' Up! Happiest Birthday Wishes stamp with various colours of SU! Markers. The ribbon is from my stash and the embossed panel is the free one that came with my Sizzix Texture Boutique.

Good afternoon!

Ooooh I'm late with my Less Is More card this week...I made it, along with a few others, at Jen's last night, but forgot to bring them home so Jen has kindly sent me some photos so I can still blog them! Ta hun!

So here is my 

BROWN & PINK

card for this week's challenge :)

The flower is a Tim Holtz Tattered Flowers in pink shimmery card, which I sprayed with water and scrunched to create some texture. I edged the flowers with a pink pen. I finished my flower with a brown glittery brad and mounted it onto an embossed piece of brown shimmery card.
