Drunken ladybirds!

Good morning!
I hope you are all well! It's a lovely bank holiday Monday here in the UK so I am going to spend it in my garden, but before I do I thought I would share this little card I have quickly made for the Less Is More sketch challenge this week...

I thought this was a 'me' sketch so I couldn't resist playing along!
And I used a brand new hostess stamp set!

Now I titled this post 'Drunken Ladybirds'....have a look at these cuties...they remind me of one friend propping another up after a couple of drinks too many, don't you think?? I can just see them dancing and singing down the street on the way home from a great night out!

This lovely set, which I am 'slightly' obsessed with, is Love You Lots and is one of the new hostess sets, available for free from Wednesday with any workshop, party or individual order of £150 or more. I teamed it with the new Sweet & Sassy framelits to create the heart. To give a little depth I popped the top of the heart up on Dimensionals.

I fussy cut the very cute 'drunken' ladybirds (ladybugs in USA I believe?) and then after colouring them in Real Red, I gave them a coat of Crystal Effects to make them shine. You could also achieve a similar effect by heat embossing them with Versamark and Clear Stampin' Emboss, though I would do it before cutting them out!

I finished the card with paper piercing for interest without taking anything away from the simplicity of the card.

Right....gardening calls! Have a lovely day, whatever you're doing!

Something extremely Sweet 'n Sassy!

Good morning everyone!
I'm here to share a sweet little card I made using a new sneak peek stamp set! And what's more, it is one you can get for free! (more about that later...)

So here is the card...

This super cute stamp set is called Love You Lots and it will be available from 1st June....isn't this one adorable?? I stamped them in black, coloured them with Smoky Slate and Basic Gray, then fussy cut them out. I paper pierced the card blank using the retiring Updated Paper Piercing Essentials pack.

I also used some upcoming new framelits, Sweet Sassy Framelits, to die cut the heart out of Sweet Sugarplum, one of the brand new In Colors... I love this sweetheart shaped heart don't you?? There are lots of hearts Framelits in the set, in two different styles. I particularly like this one though as it matches the current Sweetheart Punch.

The new products are all available from 1st June, but sadly, the Paper Piercing sets will no longer be available after then so grab yours now if you still want one. The Piercing Mat is also going so why not grab one of those at the same time? :)

Oh and how can you get this gorgeous stamp set for free I hear you ask? Lucky for you it is one of the hostess stamp sets, so you will be able to choose this free with any order or workshop over £150, so why not get a few friends together and see what they would like from the catalogue, then place your order and bingo! Freebies!

I'll leave you with that thought and wish you a fab day!
See you soon!

Everything Eleanor box frame

Hi everyone!
Well after the last little box frame I made using retired DSP, I decided I should give it a go with current DSP, so here is a pretty one I made using a 12in x 12in sheet from the Neutrals DSP paper stack.

I really love the delicate pattern on this paper don't you? I added a piece of white card to the background to hide the stripes that are on the other side of this double sided paper, and onto that I stamped the swirl from Everything Eleanor. This was one of may favourite sets so I'm really sad to see that it's retiring. If you want this set, you'll have to be quick!

The flower is stamped in one of the gorgeous new 2016/2018 In Colours, Sweet Sugarplum. I love this new colour!

A little tip that I realised in my eagerness to make this....stamp onto your back piece before you fit it into the frame or you may struggle to fit your block into the aperture! I almost fell fowl but got round it luckily!

I'm going to be taking delivery of some customer orders tomorrow, so if you placed an order, I'll be in touch as soon as I do! Oh and there might be a little something in there for me too! ;) I'll share when I get chance!

Have a lovely evening!
