Especially for the new two...

Hello everyone!
How has your weekend been? I had a lovely one, enjoying more quality time with my wonderful man, Mike, cooking dinner together, listening to music, chatting...just perfect! I really hope yours was as just as fab, with or without a partner :)

Today I have a commission card to show you, for a couple who got married on Valentine's Day...

I was asked for a simple designed card, and I took colour inspiration from the invitation. I used the swirl from Everything Eleanor and stamped it in Versamark all over the card panel, then embossed it with clear Stampin' Emboss.

The sentiment panel is from The New Two set, stamped in silver Encore and also embossed with Clear Stampin' Emboss. After I stamped the heart with Silver, I punch a small heart out of it and added some royal blue ribbon from my stash behind it. I finished with some personalisation from my printer.

I do love making special cards for special occasions...it make it extra special, don't you think?

I did use the sketch at Atlantic Hearts this week...still a few hours to enter if you fancy a go!

I'll be back tomorrow to show you the Valentine's card I made for my love man! :)

Mother's Day?? Already??

Hello everyone!
Well it's Valentine's day tomorrow...have you finished you card for your beloved? I have! ;) I'm not going to show you that today though, but I will show you the one that Keiran has made for one special little girl at school...how cute!

Anyway, here is what I have come to share...and please don't choke on your cuppa...I have already made my Mum's Mother's Day card!

The leaves are from the Crazy About You stamps and are each stamped twice, once without re-inking, in Smoky Slate, and the flower was coloured using Strawberry Slush, Pink Pirouette and Blushing Bride Stampin' Write Markers. I stamped it twice, fussy cut the middle and popped it up on a Dimensional. The side panel was stamped using one of the flowers the same set and one from Flower Patch.

Isn't it pretty? I'll admit, it didn't start out as a Mother's Day card, but when it came to the sentiment, I spotted this one in amongst the flowers in the Crazy About You stamp set and decided it was perfect teamed with the die cut 'happy' from the complimentary Thinlits!

I really do love this card...I hope my Mum will too!

I am entering my card into the following challenges...

As promised, here is the cute little gift that Keiran made for his little friend at school using the Groovy Love set...

And here he is proudly showing it off!

Enjoy your Friday!

A Birthday Balloon!

Good morning everyone!
I feel like I have been away a while...I had a very busy birthday weekend and it's taken a while to get back in the swing! I did get some nice crafting in today though...I made 3 cards so that made me happy!

I made this one last week though...this was made for my nephew's 6th birthday, using our sketch from this week's CAS-Colours and Sketches challenge.

I've had this fab Celebrate Today stamp and Framelits combo since before Christmas but this is the first time I have used it! I love it so I better get using it more right??

To create my background I masked off one section and sponged it, then the other to give the shape of the sketch.

I then stamped the string of flags after colouring each one with a Stampin' Write Marker, stamped 'birthday' on the balloon then die cut it with matching Framelit. I got the perfect placement of my die by using the Bigshot Magnetic Platform, which, coincidentally, is on offer this week in the Weekly Deals...30% off at only £26.96!!  I personalised the card with Little Letters Thinlits.

I do love the DT interpretations of this sketch...it's great to see so many ways it can be used and I look forward to seeing yours!
Have a fabby day!

Time to celebrate!!

Good morning everyone!
Well wow! What a fantastic day I had for my birthday yesterday! Mike put so much effort into making it so perfect for me...I really can't tell you just how wonderful it was...thank you so much Mike! I also got so many lovely birthday messages...I really do feel blessed!

So today, here is a card I made a couple of days ago, using my free Blendabilites! How did I get them free?? I'll tell you at the end!

The stamp set I used here is In This Together and is perfect for colouring with my beloved Blendies! After I coloured her, I fussy cut my lady out and popped her on Dimensionals onto my paper pierced panel. I used the Paper Piercing Essentials Pack for this.

The sentiment is actually below the image on the stamp but I stamped it separately so I could pop it on the side, which fits in with the current sketch challenge over at Atlantic Hearts Challenges...

So how did I get the Blendies for free?? I spent £45 on Stampin' Up! products, and chose them free from the Sale-A-Bration brochure! How brilliant is that?? If you would like to get yours free too, simply contact me, or place your order through one of the links over there on the right >>>>

I'm having a relaxing day today with a bit of shopping and dinner out this evening...I hope you're having a wonderful Friday!

Die cut thanks!

Good morning!
Today is a new challenge at CAS-Colours and Sketches, and we have a really lovely summery colour combo for you!

Isn't it yummy??
I've been experimenting with coloured card blanks lately, so I decided to go for a Pink Pirouette base, onto which I stamped one of the flowers from Petal Potpourri in Sahara Sand. I created my frame using the Decorative Label Punch, and added my die cut word from the Crazy About You Bundle. I chopped the 'S' off and added 'you' from the bundle's stamp set.

I finished by popping the frame up on Dimensionals and added a few Sahara Sand Candy Dots.

I really love these word dies...I can see me getting lots of use out of them!

We're looking forward to seeing your CAS creations...go get crafting and link them up! :)

It's my birthday today...and quite a big one too...I have no idea what I will be doing as Mike is in charge! I hope you all have a lovely day! :)

A pair of new babies!

Hello everyone!
I had a little play making new baby cards yesterday... can you spot how I used the Painted Petals stamp set??

I used the cute bunny and the sentiment from the lovely Baby We've Grown stamp set...I really love this little cutie!

And yes, you got it! The stripes are from the Painted Petals...I simply ink, stamped and repeated lots of times over the card base before adding my sentiment panel. I punched little notches out at the top of the panels with the 1/4 inch handheld punch, then wrapped and tied the Baker's Twine.

I decided to make one in each colour so I have a couple to add to my stash...that's a great way to build up stock. I just need to book into a couple of craft fairs to sell them now!

I mentioned yesterday that I am going to try entering more challenges in the future... well I am entering these into a couple...

EDIT* I got an honourable mention at CAS(E) This Sketch!

Before I go, have you seen the fab new Weekly Deals this week??
Check them out and grab yourself a bargain!

A summery Birthday!

Good morning!
First of all, I would like to welcome my newest follower, Petra. I popped by her blog last night and wow! Such a lot of gorgeous cards...do pop and have a look. I hope you find lots to inspire you here Petra!

This morning I have a lovely spring like card to share with you...

I have used Painted Petals for this, along with some summery colours; So Saffron, Pear Pizazz and Perfect Plum. This stamp set is a 2 step stamp set, so I stamped the leaves first, then added the flowers.

I added my sentiment from Teeny Tiny Sentiments; this set is an old favourite of mine as the sentiments are such nice size. I punched it out with the Word Window punch and finished with some Candy Dots.

Are you doing anything fun today? I have my last shift at work until next Monday...yay! I booked the days off with the intention of decorating my house, but I have finished that so I get lots of 'me' time!

Have a lovely Tuesday and I'll see you tomorrow!
