LIM Stars #2

Good evening, again!

I have been playing with a new stamp I got in the post yesterday......I fell in love with it the minute I saw it in the Craft Shed brochure. I thought it would work for the Less Is More - Stars challenge as there is a star in the design.

All I can say about this card is that it is sooo much sparklier IRL! It is a true sparkler! But there you go......my photography never does my cards justice lol! And yes, the card was a little warped when I photographed it because I have heat embossed it, but it is being flattened as we speak! The ribbon is Club Green and I finished with a tiny gem in the star.

Ooh La La Stitching challenge.

Good evening all!

Well I should have posted this card first thing this morning but as most of you know I have been very unwell this weekend and unable to really do anything. I went to the doctor this morning thought and was told that I have tonsillitis and prescribed Penicillin and Ibuprofen......thank goodness for medicine.....I already feel 100% better than I did! And thanks to the Ibuprofen I can eat again too as my throat has stopped hurting!

Anyway, back to the challenge at Ooh La La this week, which is

STITCHING

Now I do tend to use faux stitching on my cards from time to time but I thought I would try actual stitching onto the card for a change.

All the stitching was done by hand as I don't have a machine, and though it was time consuming, it was quite therapeutic and rewarding! The image and background papers are from Ooh La La All Dressed Up cd-rom, the lace and pins from my stash. I left a sentiment off because I thought this would be great for all sorts of occasions......and it also fits into the One Stop Craft Challenge - No Sentiment challenge.

Well I now have to crack on for my market on Saturday...I have lost 3 days of work through illness and I'm now very behind! See you all soon :)

Wish Upon A Star

Good morning LIMettes!
Well so much for feeling better......I now have very swollen glands, alot of sinus pain and now an upset stomach......And I have to go to work! 

Anyway, here is this morning's entry into the Less Is More challenge this week which is Stars.

This super cute stamp was free on this month's CP&P and I couldn't wait to use it! I have coloured it with pencils and shimmer paints and finished with glitter.

Well I guess I better go to work now and hope I can last the morning :)

Fairy Christmas

Good afternoon all!

Well as some of you know I've been a little under the weather over the last week or so. Thanks for all the good wishes from everyone, and I am now feeling alot more like myself! :) I spent last week colouring some images in at work to try and bump start my mojo again, and I think it's worked! Annoyingly, too late to enter some challenges but hey ho......a new week and new challenges right? :)

So here is a card I have made this morning......

This cute stamp is Christmas Dance from Lilli Of The Valley, coloured with Promarkers and glittered. The background is a gorgeous piece of organza I got cheap from Hobbycraft, I think. The flowers are made from the same material. The ribbon is again a cheapy from somewhere, probably HC and the other papers are just embossed from my stash.

Less Is More - Polka Dots

Hello my lovely followers, and the rest of blogland!

Have you missed me? I have been a little off over the weekend......I failed my driving test on Friday, Keiran was sick on Saturday night which kept me up all night and I was working Sunday and I seem to have been struggling with my own health since then, but I feel much more myself today! So here I am, finally, with my entry into this week's Less Is More challenge - Polka Dots.

The butterflies were in some sets I got cheap on a visit to Holland last year, and the ribbons are from my stash. Still not 100% so not really done anything too fancy today. Hopefully I will be back on form this Saturday! :)

 As we don't give Halloween cards in the UK, I decided to make this trick or treat bag for Keiran to use, He's only 3 so we won't be going further than the neighbours, but I think he'll love it! Oh and I plan to have a little 'Halloween Treasure Hunt' around the house! Anyway, here is the bag......

The bag is a Kraft style brown lunch bag that I coloured with Promarkers. The image is a 'make your own' digi image from Pink Cat Studios using their new Digi Stamp Designer......it's a really cool program they have where you can mix and match images to create your own complete digi......awsome!

Let It Snow for Ooh La La challenge #91

Good morning!

Well there weren't an awful lot of entries into our Sympathy challenge last week but the entries we did have were beautiful! It was tough picking a top 3.......I don't know how the other girls have managed when there have been many more entries! 

And now it's time for a new challenge at Ooh La La and the theme for this fortnight is

LET IT SNOW!

My card is made using an easel card from the Boys To Men Cd and I have just added a few 'blingy' bits and some snow for texture.

The image is one from Sliekje digistamps and coloured with Promarkers. The backing paper is Back 2 Basics and I embossed some lilac card for the 'sticky out bit'.

Superstar 1st Birthday!

Iris Folded Christmas Heart

Good evening LIMettes!

I have spent this afternoon trying a new technique that I was reminded about in a magazine today......Iris Folding!  So after work and my driving lesson, while Kerian was at nursery, I decided to give it a go. Here is the result......

I am very pleased with the effect and I think it classes as one layer for the Less is More - One Layer, Hearts challenge. At least I hope so! :) The papers I used are My Minds Eye and the snowflake punch stamp was free with this month's Craft Beautiful mag, where I got the idea from.

Christmas Heart - Less Is More

Hi again LIMettes!

I have another heart card to enter into the Less Is More Challenge this week......

Now this was Jen's idea so I have to give her credit, but I did all the designing and crafting lol! I cut a heart mask with a Nestabilities die then used a new set of Wild Rose Studio snowflake stamps and stamped them in Embossing ink, which I then sprinkled with Personal Impressions Pastel Lilac embossing powder. The sentiment is from my Kanban Autumn Silhouettes set and embossed the same way. I finished with 3 purple gems.

Sepia Skiing

Hey again!
Here is another card I made yesterday in my crafting session with Jen......

This little guy is LoTV, coloured with Promarkers. Now I decided I wanted to have a go at colouring with a sepia finish so Jen and I both had a go on different images. Jen wasn't happy with hers (I thought it looked great) but I am very happy with mine, for a first attempt! You would think the fact you're limited to colours would make it easier...... it really isn't! But I am actually pleased with it!

The papers are shimmer paper from Anna Marie Designs, but I did colour the lighter one with a Promarker as it didn't quite match the rest of the card.

Happy Birthday To Me!

Well today I had yet another successful crafting sesh with Jen......it was a slow start, looking at my new SU catalogue and 'virtually' spending a fortune, (the wishlist included by Vicky was just not a big enough piece of paper lol!), but we eventually got some cards made! Here is one I have made for my Sister-In-Law's birthday next week.

I had to think about this card a bit as I didn't think I had any heart stamps but then I found this little Kars stamp! I have just stamped it in black and added 3 red gems for highlight and bling!

A Little Football

Good afternoon all!

I have two cards for you today. The first is for a friend's Son's birthday. 

The image is Footballer Jack from Pollycraft and is coloured with Promarkers. The papers are all Nitwit - Candle Cakes Solids and Candle Cakes Too. The sentiment is printed and I finished with a handmade Football Card Candi! Oh and the ribbon is of a lovely golden chocolate rabbit I got (and ate!) some time ago.

My first Kenny K card!

Good evening all!

I have made this card today for a friend's daughter, and I have thoroughly enjoyed making it! I was only asked for it last night so it was a bit of a rush order, but still...I'm very happy with it! It is my first card using a Kenny K image. I have always loved the images but just never got round to buying or using any. Now, I can tell you, that that is definitely going to change!

I apologise for the photo.......I still haven't got a new one and so still can't see the pictures on the lcd screen properly and I hadn't realised there was a smudge on the lens.......hence the blur in the middle of the photos. I can't re-take the photos as the card has been delivered to it's sender!

I coloured it with Promarkers and highlighted with glitter and glossy accents. The music sheet is a Google image printed onto vellum and the music notes are also Google images, flooded with glossy accents. As you can see, 'Boogie Down' is mounted onto a cd. The sentiment is Black Chancery.

I hope you like this card as much as I do! :)

Fluttering Birthday Wishes

Good evening all!

I had a commission for a card for a little girl's 3rd birthday, and all that was required was butteflies. So here it is!

The paper is Sweet Owl, and I embossed the scalloped circle with a hearts embossing folder. The sentiment panel is printed in Word and the Butterflies are Martha Stewart. Finished with a handmade '3', glitter, flowers,  ribbon and pearls.

We are very lucky to be sponsored by Fred She Said Designs and had some lovely images to work with. Here's mine......

This is Emma The Skipper and she is a pre-coloured digi. SHe comes in four colouways, with or without background. Now I didn't actually mean to pick the pre-coloured ones......I clicked the wrong button, but I am actually rather pleased with it! And it made the card ten times easier to make lol! The papers are MME Bloom and Grow and the flowers are from my stash. That's it!

Good morning all!

It feels ages since I've been on here, but in fact it's only a day or so! I've been working and at a market all weekend so that's probably why! 

I'm hoping for a more productive week this week as far as Christmas cards go......Keiran is well on the mend now, so hopefully things will get back to normal very soon! Thank you to all who have been kind enough to wish him well......it means alot :)

Ok, here is my DT card for our challenge at Ooh La La this fortnight, which is

SYMPATHY

Now I don't know about you all but I really struggle with these cards.......I never feel it appropriate to add lots of embellishments, so I never really know what to do with them! 

I have used a sheet from the Carnival Of Colour cd and added some ribbon, Card Candi and a printed sentiment. I do wonder if it's too simple, but then I don't want to overdo it! Oh well, more practice needed methinks! 

It is my turn to pick our top 3 this week so I am looking forward to seeing lots of inspiration in all your cards!
