My 1st Christmas Candle!

Good afternoon all :)
I have an exciting project to share today! Well it is to me! I got an idea to decorate pillar candles...just something I wanted to try, so I found some cheap in Asda and gave it a go! Here is my first Christmas one...

I used an Indigo Blue stamp set of Jen's, stamped in Sahara Sand and Cherry Cobbler. I don't know if you've ever seen this technique before but it's very simple really....you stamp your image onto tissue paper, then wrap it round the candle. Then wrap greaseproof paper round and hold tight. Finally, heat the image gently with a heat gun and watch as the edges of your tissue disappear into the candle, leaving your image looking stunning! I finished mine with a Club Green image and some red gems.

I'm really loving this new crafty venture, and I have already made 6 different candles! I'm sure you will get to see them over the next few days! :)

Challenges

I have feeling I shall be making lots of these! :)
Bye for now :)

  1. Lovely candle Lizy and your stamps are gorgeous. I discovered this technique earlier in the year, and found that the tissue paper melts into the candle if you use a hairdryer too ;o) ... I don't have a heat gun!
