Reason for the Season

Hello everyone!
I had my craft class last Friday and as Christmas is coming (?!!) we had a little play with one of my new stamp set and punch bundles from the new Autumn/Winter catalogue, Reason For The Season...

This first card we made was using the punch Festive Flower (part of the bundle) and then we stamped the veins on the leaves and petals afterwards, using the stamps from Reason For The Season. It's much easier this way as trying to line all three stamps up before punching is almost impossible! The stamps are photopolymer too so that makes it super easy!
*EDIT* For an even easier way to stamp onto these petals, check out my tutorial here.

I used one of the dies and some Gold Glimmer Paper from the Holly Jolly Greetings bundle for 'merry', and teamed it with one of the stamps from the set. Oh and under the gorgeous Poinsettia I swirled a little of the gorgeous Gold Cording Trim...doesn't it finish the card nicely?

If you would like to order from either the Autumn/Winter catalogue, or the Annual Catalogue, you can either contact me direct, or click on the links over on the right :)

Have a lovely day and hope to catch you soon!

One last DT card...

Good morning! I'm here with my DT card for CAS-Colours and Sketches, and this week it's a sketch...

My card started using a flower I had left over from a couple of commission cards I made this week...

The large flower is from Petal Potpourri and is stamped in Hello Honey. I then added a Rich Razzelberry Papillon Potpourri butterfly and a Bermuda Bay Petite Petal.

The leaves are punch from Pear Pizazz card using the Bird Builder punch. I finished with a sentiment from Endless Birthday Wishes. As it is a photopolymer stamp it's easy to get it perfectly placed on the card!

I am sad to say that this is my last challenge for CAS...I have a lot to concentrate on in my life so I am taking my leave...I will miss it lots but I am still going to be around! I look forward to seeing what you create with my last sketch!
Happy crafting!

One for the guys!

Good morning all!
I'm here again with my DT card for CAS-Colours and Sketches, which this week uses these colours...

I immediately thought of a male card when I chose these colours, and just for once, I went with what I intended!

I have used one of my few 'man sets', Guy Greetings for this card. The car and the greeting are stamped in Chocolate Chip, but I stamped off the sentiment first to give a softer look. I also inked the edges of my die cut panel (cut using Chalk Talk Framelits) and the DSP with the same ink for a vintage look.

The ribbon is a little bit from my stash...I have so much to use up as I always hoard ribbon, don't you?! I finished with some Candy Dots, mainly because I managed to get ink on the top right of my card, grrrr! Still...we crafters know just how to fix a bodge don't we?!

I look forward to seeing all your cards...are you going male too?

Peace and Love

Hi everyone!
It's Thursday so here is my DT card for CAS-Colours and Sketches this week. I created this sketch with the intention of creating a lovely sunny scene with flowers, but somehow I ended up playing with one of my new stamp sets from the new Autumn/Winter catalogue!

I have flipped the sketch so that the stars looked like falling stars...not too sure if it works but I'm struggling to craft right now as life has gone a bit wrong again, but let's not talk about that!

I stamped everything from the Holly Jolly Greetings stamp set in Silver Encore ink except for the '&love' which was stamped in Soft Sky. I then mounted the stamped panel onto Soft Sky card before popping up on Dimensionals onto a Whisper White card blank made using the new thicker WW!! You should seriously try it...it's so much better for card bases!

I look forward to popping over to your blogs to see your creations!

An Awesomely CASEd card!

Hello!
I hope you're having a lovely weekend? I Keiran came back Friday evening so yesterday we spent some quality time together and went for a 5k run!

Anyway, today I have a card to share that we made at craft class last Friday...

Now I must admit to CASE-ing this card! I saw a similar one on Pinterest so I tracked it down to the blog it originated from so I can give Chantal the credit she deserves! You can see her card here

All the stamping is created using the Awesomely Artistic stamp set...I do love it when you can use so many stamps from one set on a card! Another similar set is Work of Art.

I added some colour using Watermelon Wonder, and some texture using the Burlap Trim. I trimmed the edges off the burlap and pulled out some threads to fray the edges. I used these threads for the looping behind the dragonfly. The spots are stamped in Gold Encore and I added a little more gold with the sequins. The whold panel is then mounted onto some DSP from the Neutrals stack then onto a Soft Suede card blank.

I really do love this set! Do you have it? Maybe you'd like to share your creations with me? Pop your blog link in the comments and I'll come on over and have a look! :)

I'm off to church now...have a lovely Sunday!

A one layer birthday card for my Grandma

Hello everyone!
I hope you are well? I'm here today with my first post as September's hostess for our challenges at CAS-Colours and Sketches. This week we have some lovely soft, springlike colours for you...no I'm not ready to let Autumn in!

So here is the super quick, one layer card I made...

I stamped the main image from Butterfly Basics in Basic Gray, then with my Stampin' Writ Markers and Blender Pens I coloured it in using the 3 challenge colours. I then stamped the sentiment in Black Memento ink, and the two rows of chevrons in Pink Pirouette.

Here's a close up of the flowers...

It's really easy to do this kind of colouring...you just gradually build up the colour until you get the effect you want.

It would have been my Grandma's 97th Birthday today, and I still miss her loads. I have lots to thank her for, and some amazing memories, and I will be thinking about her today...this one's for you Grandma...Happy Birthday!

We're all looking forward to seeing your creations and how you use these colours!
