Beautiful You Silhouette with Rainbow Inking

Good morning!
I held a class at my home a few weeks ago and I just wanted to share one of the cards we made. I totally love creating this kind of background so I thought I would get the ladies to get all inky!

To create the background I simply used sponges to swipe colour across the card. I then stamped my dancing lady from Beautiful You, and coloured her with my Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker to make her into a silhouette. I then added a few strokes of Wink Of Stella to give a little shimmer to the card.

The sentiment was stamped in Versamark and then I added various Stampin' Emboss Powders to create the rainbow effect.
*TIP - I masked off the word 'gorgeous' on the stamp using a Post-It note so I had the sentiment I wanted.

I love using this technique...have you ever tried it? If not, give it a go and let me know how you got on!

Hope to see you soon!

An artist inspired card

Hello all!
Ok so recently I had a page pop up on my Facebook, suggesting I might like it. So I had a look! And boy was I inspired! So much so, I had a little play, and inspired by one of his paintings, I created this card....

I used some sponges and lots of Brights inks to basically swipe ink onto the card, building up and overlapping the colours to create the background.

I then stamped and coloured my lady from Beautiful You, fussy cut her out, then popped her up on Dimensionals before adding the sentiment. In hindsight, I would have made my lady more vibrant in colour and perhaps used a different sentiment, but all in all, I love the effect I created!

Oh and please pop by the inspiring artists page to see his incredible work and see the work of art that inspired my card.

Thanks for popping by today and I hope to see you again soon!

Floral Affection

Good evening!
Ok, so what do you do when you ink an embossed image and get ink everywhere and ruin the card? Cut it out!

This is the embossed image from one of the Floral Affection embossing folders and I cut it out, popped it up on Dimensionals and stuck it to my card blank. Do you recognise the swirl in the background??

It's from one of the Christmas sets, Star of Light. I do love it when I get to use a 'Christmas' stamp all year round!

That's all from me today. Hope yours is a good one!

It's Friday!!

Well we've all made it through to Friday! Yay!
Today I have one more card using the Beautiful You stamp set. I was clearing up my desk yesterday and found this image laying there, already coloured, so this is how I used it...

I've kept my card simple but added a little texture with the Softly Falling EF, (looks a bit like rain, I thought!), and I used the Stitched Shapes Framelits to cut out my image.

I may see you over the weekend, but in case I don't I hope you have a good one and I hope to see you next week!

(PS. don't forget to choose your free Sale-A-Bration items, then go place your £45+ orders to redeem them!)

A late one!

Hello again! Ok, this is a quick 'bonus' post for today!
I just noticed that I'm actually not too late to join in with the challenge at Less Is More this week, for their Balloons challenge! So here is my entry...

I have made a very simple card using the Balloon Celebration stamp set and matching punch.

I used gold Encore to add a touch of occasion to the balloons.

Think I better head to bed now!
Night all!

One Wild Ride!!

Hello!
Today I'm sharing a card I made ages ago, using One Wild Ride. I'm not the best at making male cards, but I'm very happy with this one!

I decided to make a z-fold card with a 'twist'...

...it opens the opposite way to usual! The reason for this?

So the bike looks like it's travelling! I had a lot of fun making this. Lots of neutral colours but quite an effective card I think. What do you think?

This is a great set for all sorts of occasions, and I reckon it would be great for those bike chicks too!

If you would like to order this set, please just click through to my shop using the link on the right >>>>

Also, don't forget that it's Sale-A-Bration through til the end of March, so for every £45 you spend you get to choose a FREE product from the SAB brochure!!

Please feel free to contact me for more information.

Have a lovely day!

Botanical Z-Fold Card

Good morning to you lovely crafty peeps!
I decided that today I should show you something other than just those lovely ladies from the last few days, so here is the card and gift box I made for my very good friend, Sharon, for her birthday early in January.

I used Botanical Builder Thinlits which I inked up with sponge daubers to give a more subtle coloured effect.

I went for a Z-Fold card as I think they have quite an impact, don't you? I like to leave the middle panel blank to write my message on, but you could decorate it too.

I used several sentiment sets to complete the card and box, including Teeny Tiny Sentiments, Crazy about You, Endless Birthday Wishes, Hello You Thinlits and Large Number Thinlits.

I have some exciting news for you today too!

I am starting up my Stamper's Six club again! I will be posting full details in the next few days, but the basics are that you commit to ordering £25 of Stampin' Up! goodies from me per month, for 6 months, and in return you will not only get your products, but also a little gift from me! And the best bit?? You get to be the hostess once in that 6 month period and choose at least £15 of FREE products of your choice!

Have a lovely day...I'm off to the gym now!

Lady in Red

Hello again!
So, as promised yesterday, here is another card, this time using the very elegant lady from Beautiful You...

For some reason, when I saw this elegant lady, it made me think of red and black, so I went with it! What do you think??

I have kept the card very simple and classic, which I think works perfectly for this stamp, don't you? Again, I used my new Watercolor Pencils and Aqua Painters to colour her in.

Thanks for popping by today, and don't forget, if you would like any catalogues posting to you, free of charge (so you can drool all over them!) please just let me know.

See you soon!

Blue Monday

Good morning!
I'm here today to share another Beautiful You project, this time it's a card, and this elegant lady is feeling a little 'blue'...

I sponged the background using Pacific Point ink (I need to practice I think!) and stamped my sentiment over the top.

After water colouring the lady I fussy cut her out and popped her up on Dimensonals.

I really like the simplicity of this card, and the sentiment works so well, doesn't it?

I have one more of these lovely ladies ready to show you, so I plan to be back with that one soon.

In the mean time, if you would like to order this gorgeous set for yourself, please just click through to my shop, over on the right >>>>
(and don't forget to add a FREE Sale-A-Bration item for EVERY £45 you spend!)

Have a (not so blue) Monday!

Helloooo Beautiful You!!

Well hello to you all!
Yes, I admit, it's been a while. A long while in fact! Not to make excuses but life has been somewhat busier over the last year or two, as Keiran now does activities every evening, and that means when I get in there are things that need doing around the house, or I'm just shattered! That on top of all the studying I had been doing and it left me little time for 'myself'!

I have managed to do a little crafting recently though, and I'd like to show you one of my makes, if I may?

As you probably know by now, there is a wonderful stamp set in the Spring/Summer catalogue called Beautiful You, and to be fair, you've probably seen lots of samples using it, but I'm sharing one of mine today anyway! I really love this set...it's just so elegant and versatile!

I decided I would rather like to see this carefree lady dancing under the sun, on a notebook. I used the brilliant new Watercolor Pencils and an Aqua Painter to colour this lovely lady. I do love these pencils! They have bought back my love for colouring!

The pencils are ideal for colouring on more porous mediums as they don't soak in and become difficult to blend like wet ink does, so they were perfect for this notebook with it's slightly rough cover.

I used Kinda Eclectic to add the sun, and see the shimmery sparkle? I created that using my clear Wink Of Stella pen...subtle but effective!

Don't forget that it is Sale-A-Bration until the end of March, which means for every £45 you spend with me, you get to choose a FREE item from the SAB brochure!! That's for EVERY £45!! So there really is no limit to the freebies!

If you would like me to send you a Spring/Summer catalogue and Sale-A-Bration Brochure, free of charge, please just contact me and I will be more than happy to do so!

And if you would like to order any of the items I used today, please click through to my shop over there on the right >>>>>>>>

Right, I'm off to work now, but I hope to be back soon with another lovely project!

Happy Sunday!
