Nevaeh's Birthday

Good morning!
And welcome to my 2 newest followers, Catherine and Sarah...I hope you find lots of inspiration and don't get too bored with my waffling lol!

I am quite excited about this card I am posting, as I love it!! :D I know...shouldn't praise myself but I don't care...I really do love it! But then I think the image could have an awful lot to do with it!

'Eyes turned heaven-ward...skirts blowing in the wind...

Nevaeh is a dreamer, loves pretty things, and is all sweetness.'

Full and side views

Close up of colouring

Of course this is a Saturated Canary image (Nevaeh)...I really love these stunning images...Krista has a very rare talent! I also love how each image has a personality!

I coloured her with Promarkers, and used DP's from First Edition - Love Letters. The flower sequins, pearls, and ribbon are all from my stash. I highlighted her dress with a little glitter, and her eyes and lips with Glossy Accents.

Now as Nevaeh is a dreamer, I was going to add the 'dreaming of everything wonderful for you' Lili of The Valley sentiment but I didn't think it would fit in with the Birthday Sundaes challenge as I didn;t think it was 'birthday' enough, so I used a different one instead.

Challenges

I really hope you love this one as much as I do! :)

Spotty Birthday

Good morning all!
I'm just here to blog a card I have very quickly made for a birthday today.

I have simply used up a little piece of spotty Back to Basics paper I had on my desk, and added a ribbon, a Pink Petticoat sentiment (freebie from a mag) and a Martha Stewart butterfly. I have made it to follow the sletch at Less Is More this week.

I have just dropped Keiran off for his first day at pre-school, and surprisingly, no tears! Well, not from him anyway! ;)
Doesn't he look smart in his first ever uniform?!

Ok, time for me to go to work...see you all later!

Golden Wedding

Good evening!
I got an order for a 50th wedding anniversary last Saturday, so I have spent the last 4 hours or so making it! And here it is....

The picture is the happy couple's wedding picture, which I photographed, as I find it clearer than photocopying.
The background paper is Pink Petticoat, mounted on gold Mirri, and I distressed the edges with Tim Holz Vintage Photo. I cut the letters and the number 50 with my Craft Robo (not used it in ages!) The ivy is Marianne, Martha Stewart butterflies, ribbon, lace and flowers and doily are from my stash. I have also decorated the inside......
Sorry it's sideways...it's not on my laptop but for some reason it's rotating itself when I insert it in here! The inside has some wording about the wedding day, and a copy of the wedding breakfast menu.
All this has been compiled on an A4 scalloped card blank. Not sure where from...Jen gave them me ages ago!

Ok time to chill and catch up on Stella and Take Me Out! ;)

Less Is More - Sketch - Week 52!

Good Morning!
Yes I'm a little later than usual with my Less Is More entry this week, but it's because me and Keiran decided to have a snuggle up and a bit of a lie-in this morning! Anyhow, that didn't last long...he doesn't just like lying there, so here I am!

So over at Less Is More this week it is Chrissie & Mandi's 52nd week, and what an awesome year it has been! I have entered every week from almost the beginning, and it has now become part of my weekend that I look forward to!

For their 52nd challenge, they have created a very simple sketch...

...and your card must follow it EXACTLY! Rectangle card, no twisting, flipping or rotating of the sketch!
So here is mine...

I have simply used buttons from my stash and added a red heart gem. The sentiment is handwritten. Simple!
Thanks for looking! I'm sure I'll be back at least once more this week! ;)

Cuppy Cakes!

Good evening everyone!
Ok I felt like doing a little colouring this afternoon, in between doing my Biggest Loser workout and picking Keiran up from nursery. Oh and it was a great workout today btw....it's a really great game for X-Box Kinect if you're looking to get fit. I have only been doing it for a week and I haven't stopped aching yet! (in a good way!)

Anyway, as I was saying...colouring. So I've been visiting Dunelm Mill and checking out this season's very bright kitchen colours and so they inspired the colours for this card...

The stamp is a Lili of The Valley one, 'Mix It & Make It'...how cute?? Anyway, I coloured it with Promarkers and then I cut off the bottom of the image and mounted it onto some blue Gingham paper from my stash to make it look like a table cloth. I saw it on Lesley's blog and thought it looked fab, so I thought I'd give it a go too! I rather quite like it! I then made a background paper with a mini cupcake stamp and added the Birthday Recipe and the bunting, made using a Molly Blooms stamp free from Simply Homemade a while ago. I finished with some plain glitter on the flour and some glossy accents on the egg.

Challenges
Oops I seemed to have waffled rather a lot tonight, sorry! Hope you like the card anyway! :)

Floral Birthday

Good evening!
Well after the very busy crafting weekend I had last weekend, I am feeling somewhat mojo-less! But I guess it will appear again at some point this weekend....
Anyway, here is a birthday card I have just made for a customer's birthday at work.

I have made this using up some of my Kate Knight papers, and I made the flower with 3 different sized scalloped circles, cut with Nesties, in pink and purple tissue paper. I fastened them together with a pearl brad, then scrunched them up and opened them out again to create this lovely 'rose'. The punched flowers are Martha Stewart.

Thanks for looking and hope to be back tomorrow! ;)

Seeing Double for Ooh la La

Good morning!
It's time for another challenge at Ooh La La and this fortnight it's
SEEING DOUBLE
so we want to see you use your image twice on your card.
Here's mine....

The image and paper are from the All Dressed Up cd-rom and the ribbon is from the stash. To embellish, I simply cut out a few footballs from the paper and layered them around the images and the ribbon.

So come on...pop on over to Ooh La La and join our challenge...we can't wait to see how you use your image twice!

Springtime Zing!

Good morning!
Well I feel like I crafted a marathon after another fab weekend crafting with Jen and Kim! I have had one of the most productive weekends ever! Here is the final card made yesterday.

This card is waayyy out of my comfort zone, but I am actually loving it! (I think!) The paper is one of Kim's, the middle ribbon is Jen's, the flowers, and the flowery ribbon round the edge are mine. As is the big butterfly which is a new Marianne Creatable.

Challenges
I think I might need a crafty break lol!
Off to work, see you soon!

Birthday Mermaid

Ok here is the last one for now....I wanted to save this and post it in the morning so I could enter it into the Magical Mondays challenge but I'll miss the Pollycraft challenge if I do that so I'm posting now!

For a change, I've used a Pollycraft 'Swings 'n Slides' image. Again, this one has been coloured for some time, with Promarkers, but I freshened it up a little today as my skills have developed somewhat since the original colouring. The papers are just scraps from Jen's drawer and the sentiment is computer printed. The cute little fish, Ric-Rac and pearls are also from Jen...it's so nice to be 'shopping' her stash...it feels like proper shopping without the expense! ;)

Challenges

Ok, I'm off to get on with another one now! ;)

Butterfly Fairy

Ok I decided to blog all the cards I have made so far, as I need to clear off my Chrome tabs as I have soooo many challenges open!

You may recognise this Lili of The Valley Fairy lol! Yes, more LoTV....I'm getting through the images gradually!

I have coloured her with Promarkers and Twinkling H2O Wisteria. I then added 3 of the Stampin' Up! Sizzlits butterflies, also coloured with Wisteria and finished with tiny lilac gems. The DP's are Pink Petticoat and the flowers are my bargain buy from Hobbycraft...49p! The ribbon, lace and handmade paper are from Jen's stash and the sentiment is computer printed. Oh and the white panel was dusted with Jen's shimmery chalk :)

I actually coloured this image in a long while ago and it didn't really look right to me now as my experience has grown, but I had a little play and I'm just about happy with it now!

 Thanks for looking!

Swinging Girl

Good afternoon!
We're still having a fabulously creative time at Jen's so it's time to post some of the cards I have made!
Here is the first one, made as a 2nd entry into the Less Is More - Aperture challenge.

This is a Stampin' Up! stamp from the Forever Young set. I have stamped it with Ranger Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I then used the tiniest circle Nestie to cut the little swinging girl out. I then carefully measured where to stamp the image inside. I then added the cut out piece with lots of silicone glue to lift it up. I finished with a very wide piece of organza ribbon, folded in half, and attached on the inside of the card, and 3 cream pearls.
I am very happy with how this turned out...my only disappointment is that I didn't realise I had ink on my finger and it smudged inside the card :(

Right...off to create some more!
Lizy x

so like....WHATEVER!

Good evening all! (or should that be morning?!)
Kim & I are having a great time at Jen's this weekend....very productive indeed!
Here is one of the cards I have made tonight....

This is a Saturated Canary, (Pink Punkette), image (loving these!) coloured with Promarkers. The papers, ribbons and dewdrops are from Jen's stash and the sentiment is computer printed and cut out using a Nestie for the sentiment, then drew round that and cut it out, then drew round the pink and cut out the blue. I found that I got much trimmer layers!

Now I was a bit stuck as to how to colour this image so I 'Googled' it to get some ideas and came across Coop's blog and here FANTASTICALLY coloured image! Please go check it out HERE! This wasn't the first one of this image I coloured, but that one will be blogged next week as it is a DT card. I really liked all the outer dots so I thought I'd give it a go, and I love it! Big up to COOPS!! :D

Challenges

Hope you like this card as much as I do...this is a 'keep looking at and admiring it' card for me! ;)
Right...better get to bed or the crafting mojo may not appear tomorrow!
Goodnight!

Aperture card for Less Is More

Good Morning!
And it's Saturday morning which can mean only one thing...the Less Is More challenge! And this week it's
APERTURE
use an aperture or hole somewhere on your card.

I used a heart Nestie, a Lili Of the Valley 'cute square', a heart punch, an Inkadinkado sentiment from the Wedding set and 6 tint pink gems. I wanted it to look as if the groom is handing the bride his heart :)

I am also entering this into
Charisma Cardz - Clean & Simple
Divas By Design - New Beginnings/Thanks
Simply Create Too - Love Is In The Air

Hope you like it!

O (black and white) Christmas Tree!

Hello again!
Ok here is my 3rd (I think!) Christmas card for 2012...I am keeping my pledge to myself to make them throughout this year, instead of just at the end lol!

The stamp is Kanban that I picked up for half price in the Hobbycraft sale in January, and I have just stamped it in black Memento and then blinged it to within an inch of it's life! Not that the photo's show it :(
The black card is from my stash and I only have one piece....I think I got it along time ago free from a magazine, along with a few other colours...it really is gorgeous! The ribbon came in a kit from Create 'n Craft a couple of years ago. And that's it!
I am still 'shopping' my stash too! :)

Thanks for looking! :)

(and just to say the splodges are on my camera lens, not the card lol!)

Butterfly Birthday

Good morning :)
I have just made this card as I wanted to blog today and didn't know if I would get another chance.

I decided to go 'shopping' in my stash again and came across all these wonderful things! The butterfly is Joy, seam binding from Ribbon Girl, Card Candi, computer printed sentiment (Freehand 591 BT) and I found the fab brown shimmery card in a forgotten box! It has gorgeous gold flecks in it!

Hope you like and thanks for looking! :)

Footie Bear

Evening again!
Here is another card for this evening, using (one of!) my favourite Lili of The Valley stamps

Coloured with Promarkers (obviously lol!) and the papers are just scraps. The card blank is some A4 blue card from the stash too, folded into A5. The right hand border is Card Candi (great way to use it up...I have so much!) and the football is hand drawn and finished with Glossy Accents, the attached with Bakers Twine. The sentiment is 'A Little Pot' from the PC.

Challenges

Thanks for looking! :)
Oh and the splodge is on my lens, not the card lol!
