Flowers for Mum

Good morning!
here is a lovely little card I have made using a free LoTV image from this month's Papercraft Inspirations mag.

I have coloured this cutie with Promarkers then cut him out. I used Wild Rose Studios Butterfly Garden papers (free from CM&PC subscription) and some ribbon and pink card I've had for ages! The border is a Martha Stewart punch. I wrote 'Mum' on the tag in fineliner.

Challenges

Oh well...off to work now!
Byeeeee! :)

Less Is More - Don't Scrap It - 2

Good evening :)
I have had a lovely day today visiting my friend Sarah and my Mum and Dad in Huddersfield!
When I got back, I decided I should try and use some more of my scraps up, so here is what I made...

These lovely toppers were given to me by Jen at Christmas and I just never got round to using them! Jen made them herself...aren't they cute?! The sentiment was a magazine freebie too!

Challenges

I'm off to finish watching Ocean's 12 now so good night...see you soon! And don't forget my blog candy! :)

Happy Saturday!!
*If you are looking for my Sketch Saturday post, please scroll down*

Well it's time for another challenge at Less Is More and this week it's
Don't Scrap It! -use up bits and pieces

This is the stuff that is lying around my desk at the moment so this is what I plan to work from this week!
and here is the 'first' card lol!

I had the sentiment printed as I decided to print it in colour for the card I actually wanted it for. The SU Sizzlits butterflies are left from last week's Dies/Punches challenge, and the seam binding is from Jen!
Well it's time for work again so off I go!
See you later!

Sketch Saturday - Sponsored by The Craft Barn

Good Morning!
Well I survived my first week as a Saturday Girl, and here we are with a new challenge! This week we are sponsored by

The Craft Barn Ltd

Here is our sketch

and here is my card

This lovely little image is from Pixie Dust Studio and I coloured it absolutely months ago! It's been in a folder, doing nothing since then so I thought it was about time I used it! I have made this card for my best friend's little girl's 1st Birthday. The cute papers are Pink Petticoat Wild Blossoms (freebie pack from a mag) and the rest is from my stash.

Ta for looking and can't wait to see your entries!

A Mother's Love... (1)

Good morning!
Well I did promise some Mother's day cards, so here is another...

These gorgeous papers are part of my subscription freebies for CM&PC mag...probably the best freebie set ever! These are Wild Rose Studio papers and I actually hand stitched the panels together...no mean feat I can tell you! The ribbon is from my stash and the butterflies are Martha Stewart. I seem to have a thing for butterflies at the moment...it must be the hint of spring! The sentiment is from a lovely little book of 'Mum' sayings that I bought a couple of years ago!

Challenges

Sparkly New Home!

Hello again!
It's time for a new challenge over at Crafting For All Seasons and this time it's
SHAPED CARDS
(not square or rectangle)

Our generous sponsores this week are

Prize - 3 Images

The Stamping Boutique

So here is my card...

I have used 'Birdcage' from The Stamping Boutique and used very little colouring. I just coloured over the branches and the bird with the free pencils that came in this month's Papercraft Inspirations. I then added a Papermania sentiment, a Marianne bird, some silver glitter and lots of bling!! I actually quite like all the bling...it really sparkles in real life!

Challenges

Ok...Mum and Dad will be here soon so bye for now!

Hollywood Girl!

Good morning everyone!
Well whilst sitting here listening to the Brits on the radio last night, I made a red carpet worthy card!

Of course, this is a Saturated Canary image (my newest obsession!) and, of course, she is coloured with Promarkers! The papers are Papermania Capsule collection and I used some shimmery paper, roses (silver ones coloured with PM's), ribbon, feather and pearls to finish the card.
I'm not 100% happy with her hair. I must have spent 60mins of the two hours it took to colour her, on her hair! Oh well, other than that, I am very happy with the card! It's a keeper! ;)

Thanks for popping by! :)

Christmas Poinsettia

Good morning!
Here is another card for the Less Is More - Punches/Die Cuts Challenge. You'll be pleased to see that it's not another butterfly! ;)

This is using Marianne Large Poinsettia and Fern Leaf. I edged the Poinsettia with gold glitter, and the leaf with white Memento. The sentiment is computer printed and went over it with my Quickie Glue pen and finished with gold glitter. The sentiment shows up better IRL.

Right I'm now going to make some samples for Create & Craft for the new Ooh La La CD-ROM! :)

Ooh La La - Photo Inspiration

Good morning!
How is everyone this Monday morning?

I am here with this fortnight's Ooh La La challenge, which is
PHOTO INSPIRATION

I decided to take the colours as my inspiration as they are so very bright and summery!

I have used an image and DP from the All Dressed Up cd-rom called Ruth. I used some yellow and orange card from my stash as matting, stamped a sentiment and finished with a few gems.

Challenges

Hope to see your cards soon!

Yet Another Butterfly!

Good morning!
Here is another butterfly card for the Less Is More Die Cuts/Punches Challenge. I know...but I have so many lovely butterfly dies and it seems a shame not to use them lol!

Orange Seam Binding (that Jen gave me cos she didn't like it!), Marianne butterfly, Card Candi and card from my stash. Not as easy as it looks though...took ages to get the Seam Binding just right, and still not sure I did lol! This card is similar to one I made a while ago in yellow and brown, but I gave that one so I wanted to make another! I may do a few in different colours...

And as I am in the 'Use It Up' club...

Thanks for looking!

Use It Up - Week 6 update!

Hello again!
As many of you know, I joined in with Use It Up 2012 at the beginning of this year. Well I hadn't realised that I was supposed to do an update on how I'm doing lol!

So here is my first update! I have not bought anything crafty this week...though I did buy some Saturated Canary images when they were in the sale a couple of weeks ago....

I have been using up quite a lot of already printed/stamped images rather than printing/stamping more, so I am very pleased with myself! I am also getting through all the scrap card and paper I had lying around, and even making card blanks out of some of it instead of buying more!

So other than any blog prizes I win, and the Amazon vouchers I have, I am NOT buying anything crafty for a while!

Oh and I have just been shopping Jen's Seam Binding stash so I don't have to buy any for a while! Thanks Jen! :)
Keep using it up!

Liebster Award, just for you!

Hey again everyone!
Well I woke to a lovely surprise this morning! I was given the Liebster Blog award by
Karen at stamping in pINK. I am so flattered that Karen chose me to give this award to...it is wonderful to know that I inspire someone so much! Thank you Karen! :) And it couldn't have come at a better time as I am just a week away from celebrating my Blogoversary! :D

So here are the details of the award, and how it works.
"Liebster is a German word, meaning dearest or beloved, but it can also mean favourite."

The Liebster Blog Award is used to show appreciation of smaller blogs (under 200 followers) and to encourage readership and share appreciation and joy! As part of the tradition, this award is to be passed along to five other blogs that have motivated and inspired you.
To accept the Award:
1. Link back to the person's blog who gave it to you and thank them :)
2. Post the award to your blog
3. Give the award to 5 bloggers (with fewer than 200 followers) that you appreciate and value
4. Leave a comment on the five blogs you chose to let them know.

So my first award without a shadow of a doubt goes to Jen - The Tiny Blue Butterfly. I have known Jen personally for about 5 years now, and not only is she a great friend who has been there during the last very tough year, she has given me the inspiration, confidence and motivation to create! Her crafting will always be an inspiration to me and I have learnt so very much from her. My crafting would not be the same had she not shown me the techniques she has! And our crafting weekends are legendary!

My second award goes to Kim - Kim's Crafty Corner. Kim first emailed me last year as she noticed we lived very close to each other (like walking distance almost!) and we have become good friends ever since! I love her simple crafting style and her ability to use what she's got, rather than buying more stash!

My third award is for Sarah - Created By Sarah. I love the way she colours and how she can make cards from very fussy and embellished, to very clean and simple! I also love her 'ramblings' on life...she is always entertaining!

My fourth award goes to Sylvie - GIBMISS. Sylvie's beautiful clean and simple style constantly inspires me! And I so love how her photos are always taken on the windowsill with the sea behind! Makes me want to visit!

My final award goes to a fellow Yorkshire girl Craftilicious. Again she has a very clean and simple style, but with a fun quirkiness about it!

There were a few other people I could have given the award to, but they either don't 'do' blog awards, or they had more than 200 followers! I can't possibly name them as I get my inspiration from all over the place, but I'm sure most of them know who they are! :)
I would like to thank everyone who has helped and inspired me during my first year of blogging...I can't believe how far I have come!

Se you in a week for some Blogoversary candy!!

More Die Cut Butterflies!

Good morning!
Oh and what a gorgeous morning it is! Really lovely blue skies with just a few white fluffy clouds, and the sun is shining! I haven't been out yet but I'm guessing it's alot colder than it looks!

Anyway, I decided to make a quick card before heading over to Jen's to print a photo...I know, I do have a printer but it doesn't seem to print exactly the right colours and I need this photo for a card.

Here is the card...

rear view...thought it would look better than fraying edges!

I have used the same SU Sizzlits butterflies as yesterday's card, and some ribbon and organza ribbon Mum gave me from a box of chocolates! Using my stash you see!! The sentiment is again from my freebie Wild Rose Studio set! Oh and the card blank is using up some of my Paper Mill Shop card that has been sitting in my drawer for such a long time since the discovery of pre-made card blanks!

Challenges

Ok off for a drive in the sun!
See you soon! :)
