A sketchy birthday!
Good morning Sketchers!
It's the 5th Saturday of the month which means this week at Sketch Saturday we have a little treat for you...you can choose any of the past sketches from #215!! So pretty much free rein to create anything you like!
I have chosen Sketch #223 for my card
I decided it was time to use some of the stunning designer papers that Stampin' Up! have to offer...I seem to hoard them! The ones I have used are the Bermuda Bay polka dots from Brights DSP stack, and the pink is from Quatrefancy. This is a colour combo I am rather loving at the moment!
The stamps are Flowering Flourishes, Papillon Potpourri and the free hostess Banner Greetings. I wanted a simple image so that it stood out against the bright colours...I think it worked! And we mustn't forget the polka dot embossing in the background.

A heartful Mother's Day
Good morning!
I am so excited to have yet another follower to welcome to my little blog! Hi Briggita! :)
I had a commission for a pretty Mother's Day card with the brief of red, purple and orange butterflies, so here it is...
I decided that as it was a first Mother's Day card I would do something a little special and different, So I used the large scalloped heart from the Hearts Collection Framelits to make the card blank, and covered it with some of the Watercolour Wonder paper from the Spring/Summer catalogue.
The sentiment was MDS created and die cut using another of the hearts Framelits. I then added butterflies from the Papillon Popourri stamp set, in Calypso Coral, Rose Red and Wisteria Wonder. I did add some Iridescent Ice but it's hard to see in the pictures.

CAS sketch challenge
Good morning everyone and a big, warm welcome to yet another follower...Linda! I'm honoured to have followers and I hope I can be of inspiration to each and every one of you!
Ok so today is Thursday which means it's a new challenge at CAS - Colours and Sketches. This week is a sketch challenge...what do you think of this?
I do love this layout! I toyed with using a coloured background, but it seemed to 'clog' the card up somewhat, so here is the very clean card I made instead...
I used the flower stem stamp from the hostess set Morning Meadow, and stamped it in Smoky Slate. I added a few little So Saffron flowers punched out with one of the Bitty Punch set, and finished with Bermuda Bay Candy Dots.
The sentiment is from another hostess set...Express Yourself and is stamped in Bermuda Bay. Do you like the shadows? I simple mounted my punched shapes onto Smoky Slate, slightly offset so they look like shadows...cool huh?
I noticed that my card fits in with the challenge over at Less is More this week - 3 of Something.

Best of Sale-a-Bration!!
Good morning everyone!
I would like to offer a warm welcome to my newest follower, Kate! I hope you enjoy my little blog!
I also want to apologise for my lack of posts this weekend. I had a busy one, with a wedding fair, (which you can read about here), a wedding order to work on and a church meeting last night.
Anyway, I'm back with a card today using mostly Sale-a-Bration items again. Did you know you have only 6 days to get yours?!
I used the free Sweet Sorbet paper and string on my card...isn't it lovely?! I used the layout from Create With Connie and Mary this week.
The stamped panel is Best of Sale-a-Bration...can you see how I coloured the words 'so much' using 2 different colours to give a shadow effect? This set is also only available until 31st March, along with all of the 'Best of 25 Years' sets. I, for one, will be sad to see them go.
You can get you 'Best Of' sets here, and while you're at it, maybe you'll spend enough to get your FREE Sale-A-Bration items!
For every £45 you spend, you get to choose a FREE Sale-a-Bration product!
If you would like to find out more about the gorgeous Stampin' Up! products, or to order any, please do contact me and I will be happy to help!

Right...must dash to work! Have a lovely day, even if the weather isn't lovely!

Sale-a-Bration freebies!
Hello sketchy fans!
Before I show you today's sketch for Sketch Saturday, I would like to give a very warm welcome to my newest followers - Cheremene, Erin and Stephanie - I hope you enjoy getting inspiration from my little blog!
And here is my inspiration for you...
I decided to go for something bright and summery, as the sun was shining when I made the card. I used almost all FREE Sale-a-Bration items to make my card, except the sentiment which is from the Express Yourself Hostess Set, and the splodges, which are from Gorgeous Grunge.
Have you seen the plait across the bottom? I made this using the FREE coloured string that came with the Sweet Sorbet Accessory pack, along with the cork flower stickers. The designer paper is Sweet Sorbet...don't you love the colours?!
You can get your hands on all these FREE goodies for every £45 you spend - you get to choose a FREE Sale-a-Bration product!
If you would like to find out more about the gorgeous Stampin' Up! products, or to order any, please do contact me and I will be happy to help!

We are looking forward to seeing your wonderful creations!
I'm off to Jen's today, to work on more wedding invitations and to practice setting up our table for our wedding fair on Sunday...wish us luck!
Have a great weekend!

Happy Sapphire Anniversary Mum and Dad!
Good morning everyone!
It's my parent's Sapphire wedding anniversary tomorrow so I decided it warranted something very special!
*This is a post of epic proportions - please do read through for instructions*
First of all, here is a picture of the whole gift...
It's my parent's Sapphire wedding anniversary tomorrow so I decided it warranted something very special!
*This is a post of epic proportions - please do read through for instructions*
First of all, here is a picture of the whole gift...
Can you see the card in a box? That is my first one and I am quite pleased with it! So here's how I made it...
1. Take an A4 piece of cardstock and along the long edge, score at 7cm, 14cm, 21cm and 28cm. The little section will be your flap to join it together.
2. Along the short edge, score at 7cm across three of the panels. The one you leave unscored will be your back panel.
3. Fold along all your edges and assemble.
4. Cut 3 strips of matching card 9cm x 2cm and score 1cm from each end. Fold along each score the opposite way from the other. Attach inside the assembled card.
5. Use acetate to attach all your elements, always checking the card closes properly.
Silver embossed my elements onto blue shiny card from my stash.
The numbers are cut using Bigz Typset Alphabet and Glimmer Paper and the heart is from Language of Love.
The sentiment panel is made using the flourish from Morning Meadow and the phrase from Express Yourself.
A picture of the full card...
I also made an envelope. using my Envelope Punch Boadr, for their gift voucher and tied with White Organza Ribbon, decorated with another heart.
The final gift was a personalised bottle of Champagne!
I simply used MDS to design and print the label, then gold embossed the flourish from Happy Day!
I thoroughly enjoyed making these for my parents! Below is a list of the products I used...it is rather product heavy, sorry!
