Cute gift bag

Good morning!
I am so pleased to welcome another new follower...Linda Parker! We have been inc contact on Facebook for a while now so it's lovely to have you here hun!

Today I have something different for you...a little video tutorial!

I have been looking for different things to make for my stall when I do craft fairs and 3D items seem to be popular, so I have made little gift bags using Designer Series Paper. They are pretty simple and fairly quick to make, and can be made in lots of different sizes.

This one is made using a piece of 6in x 12in DSP so you can get 2 out of one sheet, making it pretty economical.

I used Natural Composition Speciality Designer Series Paper for these and it's really quite strong!

I decorated with a flower from Flower Shop and punched using the Pansy Punch. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments, stamped in Coastal Cabana and punched with the word window. The rest of the embellishments are listed below.

So as promised, here is a little video tutorial for this gift bag. I apologise in advance for the slight waffling...it's been a while since I made a video!

I hope you enjoy it, and please do let me know what you think!

See you tomorrow!

A happy card!

Hi everyone! And a special welcome to my newest follower, Wendy...it's lovely to have you here! :)

Wasn't it a lovely day yesterday? I even managed to build my new greenhouse and Keiran's ant world...I think that might be staying in my greenhouse. Can you imagine escaped ants all over the house??!

Anyway, I was inspired by the lovely weather to make this cheerful thank you card for a lady who placed an order with me this weekend....

I have used the Happy Watercolor stamp set for the sentiment and Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper.

I created the edge using the Adorning Accents Edgelits and then embossed using the matching embossing folder. I didn't run it through my Bigshot though. To get the triple embossing I lined up the edge in the folder then used my scoring tool to emboss the lines...they would squish in the Bigshot if I did more than one!

I should also say that this card was also inspired by the lovely Linda, who made a card and I just needed to CASE it! It's a terrific way to use my large stash of DSP! Here is Linda's gorgeous card...

Beautiful Birthday

Hello everyone!
I am really happy to welcome yet another new follower, Lynn! It's really lovely to have you here! :)

Remember the card I made yesterday? Well I had a circle left after I had made it so I decided to use it on another card, again using the Less Is More Sketch. Here's a reminder of the sketch...

And here is my second entry into the challenge...

This is a much softer card than yesterday's, and uses a lot of bits that were lying on my desk! In fact, the only new bit was the card blank! The butterflies are from the Beautiful Wings Sizzlits and the heart was from the Hearts Collection Framelits, which I embossed using the sadly retired Pretty Print EF.

The sentiment is from Express Yourself, stamped in Wisteria Wonder.

Have a lovely Tuesday!

Nature's Hello

Hello everyone!
I chuffed to say that I have 2 new followers...Jac and Tracy. I hope you both enjoy looking at my new blog as much as I enjoy creating the projects on it!

Speaking of which, I have a pretty card for you today that I have made to enter into the sketch challenge at Less Is More this week.

As soon as I saw the sketch I knew what I wanted to do. There is a bit of a theme going with the products I have used...see if you can figure out what it is! (answer at the bottom!)

I cut the circle out of the card using two Framelits to create the gap, then paper pierced the middle circle. The little bird is from Nature's Hello hostess stamp set and I stamped it in Midnight Muse.

The flower is Boho Blossoms punch and the leaves are Little Leaves Sizzlit, both of with I sponged with Summer Starfruit and Gumball Green respectively. The sentiment is another hostess set, Express Yourself, and is stamped in Raspberry Ripple. (I do love this set of sentiments...there is something for almost any occasion and they are a lovely font and perfect size!) The card blank is Primrose Petals.

Did you figure out the product theme? Well each year Stampin' Up! bring out a brand new annual catalogue with a whole lot of gorgeous new products, but, sadly, to make room for the new, some of the old has to go. So this card has been made with items that look like they will be going. The colours definitely are as the are the 2012-2014 In Colours, and the Hostess items will too, but over in the States Little Leaves and Boho Blossoms are also going, so there is a good chance they will here too, booohooo!

My reasons for telling you? Well I hate people missing out so I thought I would give you the chance to get your hands on these products before they retire, or even worse, sell out! We will get our full retiring list very soon, and you will be among the first to see it, but this just gives you a chance for a little forward planning!

What would you hate to see retire? What would you miss most?
