Less Is More - OLC - Music

Good morning LIMettes!
I know...I'm late this morning, and not a Stampin Up! card either! That's because I have nothing musical in my SU! collection so I'm trying to think up something clever! And I'm late because I have Keiran this weekend and we had a snuggly lie in this morning :)

So this week it's the One Layer week, and the theme is

MUSIC

I have used a stamp I was given to make a couple of cards with last year and I haven't used it since!

The stamp is Illuminata by Inkadinkado and I stamped it in Antique Linen Distress Ink.

The sentiment is by Personal Impressions.

I seem to have been making an awful lot of Thank You cards lately...I really don't know why!

Anyway, I'm taking Keiran to a pancake party at church now so have a lovely Saturday all! :)

Distressed Beethoven!

Good morning!
I had another commission birthday card to make today, this time for a Brother's 70th Birthday. The request was for classical music or golf!
So I went with the classical music, especially as the lady in question kindly gave me this Inkadinkado 'Illuminata' wooden stamp, saying she doesn't really make cards so doesn't need the stamp!

Isn't it a fab stamp?!
I stamped the image using Vintage photo Distress Ink, and all the distressing is using the same ink. The 'dp' is just a Google image (I Googled 'Beethoven Music Script'). The sentiment and age were done on my pc, and distressed, and I finished with baker's twine. I also distressed the inside of the card and added the bit of music script I didn't use on the front.

Ta for looking...see you soon! :)

More Neutral for Less Is More

Hello again!
This is the other card I made this evening, for the Neutrals challenge over at Less Is More

Jen re-ignited my desire to have a proper go at distressing when we were at Leigh yesterday, so I had a go today! I have used Tim Holtz Vintage Photo and Tattered Rose Distress Inks, the Stampin' Up! Posy Punch stamp, and Indinkado swirl and that's about it! I haven't added a sentiment as I couldn't decide what to put!
Hope you like it...gonna try some more this week if I get time! :)

Charming Christmas Tree

Well hello again!
I have just enjoyed my Valentine meal of roast chicken, roast potatoes and veg, and a snuggle on the sofa with the only (little) man in my life who will ever come before me! ;) He's now gone to bed, leaving me the evening to craft! Perfect Valentine's! ;)

Ok, I love playing at Willow Sketchie challenges, and I realised this afternoon that I have not made my entry for this week, and it's almost over! So here is a quick(ish...it still took an hour lol!) card I have made for it...

The stamp is an Inkadinkado one I borrowed off Kim a while ago...I really must return it! The rest is all from my stash and I have no idea where most of it came from! I'm just using up bits!
I'm really going great guns with Christmas cards this year!
Challenges
Ok, off to craft some more as the good tv doesn't start for a couple of weeks! ;)
Bye for now!

More Aqua!

Good morning!
I am here with a card I made last night whilst having my birthday Saturday night in! I am rather loving it too...might send it to myself lol!

I made the card blank from some aqua card I had lying around and layered on the white card, ribbon and butterfly charm. The stamp is Inkadinkado and I used Tempting Turquoise SU marker for the stamping and Island Indigo SU marker for the faux stitching. The 3 pearls are My Mind's Eye.

Challenges

Ok, off to work now, again! Lol!
Have a nice Sunday everyone!

Happy Anniversary

Good morning!
And welcome again to another 2 new followers! :) Sandra and Ladyoflosttimes!
I woke up this morning with an idea for another card for the Less Is More Sketch challenge this week. Here it is...

I masked off the panel with low tack tape, (tip - stick it to your clothes first to remove excess tack so it doesn't tear your card when you remove it...even low tack tape seems to stick a bit too much!), then graduated 3 different shades of black/grey chalk up the card to my Stampin' Up! image. I also added chalk above the image. The sentiment is Inkadinkado - Wedding/Marriage.
Simple but I really like the effect! :)

Ok I have another idea...be back later! :)

Aperture card for Less Is More

Good Morning!
And it's Saturday morning which can mean only one thing...the Less Is More challenge! And this week it's
APERTURE
use an aperture or hole somewhere on your card.

I used a heart Nestie, a Lili Of the Valley 'cute square', a heart punch, an Inkadinkado sentiment from the Wedding set and 6 tint pink gems. I wanted it to look as if the groom is handing the bride his heart :)

I am also entering this into
Charisma Cardz - Clean & Simple
Divas By Design - New Beginnings/Thanks
Simply Create Too - Love Is In The Air

Hope you like it!

Here is another little card I have made for the Less Is More - Birds challenge

Now I do need to say that the splodges are actually on my lens! The stamp is Inkadinkado Wedding/Marriage and the heart is coloured with SU Real Red and topped with Glossy Accents. The sentiment and border are hand drawn.
Bye for now! :)

Always & Forever

Hello!
I hope everyone is having a nice relaxing, craft filled Sunday! :)
I have made 2 cards today, one of which is a DT card so can't show until Wednesday, but here is the other one.

This is an 8x8 card using one of the Lili Of The Valley squares, Love Letters paper, some gorgeous organza ribbon with flowers in between the two layers, my new Marianne Ivy Leaf, Martha Stewart Butterflies and pearls and flowers from my stash. The sentiment is Inkadinkado Wedding/Marriage. My two new Marianne Dies arrived in the post yesterday and I was itching to try them! More to come soon hopefully! :)

Merry Christmas

Here is my second card for today......

I have stamped the Inkadinkado tree in silver Encore, then heat embossed it. The sentiment is cut from an acetate sheet and the embossed panels are a Sizzix folder. The silver Mirri just gives it a little class, I think!

Less Is More - Green

Happy Saturday everyone!
Only 3 weeks 'til Christmas!!
I have a market to go to today so this will be quick, then I shall have to go and pick Kim up!
This morning our Lady and Diva LIM have set this colour challenge......
GREEN
SO I have used a borrowed stamp from Kim!

I stamped it using SU Old Olive and matted onto some scrap paper. Finished with a ribbon and 4 tiny gems. I decided to go slightly off centre for interest :)
The stamp is Inkadinkado by the way :)
Hope you like......have a good day! :)

My first Stampin' Up Card!

Good morning all!
I hope you are well? I am using Kim’s internet to post this card today as mine is down for a while.
This card is my entry into this week’s Less Is More Themechallenge, and the theme is Silhouettes. How gutted was I to read that on my phone yesterday morning knowing I wouldn’t be able to enter it until much later?! Anyway, here is the card……

This is my first card using Stampin’ Up stamps and ink. It is from the Forever Young set and is stamped in Memento Cocoa, but I then coloured over the leaves in Old Olive SU marker. The sentiment is Papermania.

And here are a couple of calendars I made Friday night whilst crafting with Kim……I must have been reading Chrissie and Mandi’s minds lol!

The first is SU and Inkadinkado stamps and the second is a fab Stampendous set called Kitty Silhouettes!
Right, off to the Barlow Institute for a Christmas market......wish me luck!
I hope to get online again at some point this week......

Thank you!

Good morning!
Well it's very chilly here in Bolton today......it was ver frosty this morning!
Anyway, I finally sold my first card on Folksy so I thought I would make a little 'Thank You' card to put in the package. I decided on a bookmark style instead of a folded card.

Not fab photos but it's in the post now lol! The swirl is Inkadinkado and the butterflies are Marth Stewart.

Wedding Card

Hello again!
Here is a card I quickly made before work this morning for my stall on Saturday. It was a real quickie because I had already designed this card as a birthday card so I knew exactly what I was doing with it! :)

If you can't already tell, I'm loving this sketch from Less Is More this week! It is simply an embossed panel on a silver panel with 3 wedding charms attached, and an Inkadinado sentiment in silver Encore ink.

See you soon! :)

Oooh and by the way, I won with my little wizard card over at Here Come The Boys! Yay!! :))

OLC In The Frame

Here is another one layer card I have made for the LIM challenge this week......

The stamps are from my Inkadinkado Flourishes/Arabesque set, stamped with black Memento and Peony Versacolour, and finished with 3 tiny pearls.

Now off to town then an evening of colouring in ahead of me I think! :)

Another OLC wedding card

Hello again LIMettes!
Here is another entry to the Less Is More OLC, In The Frame challenge!

The image, frame and sentiment are all from that wonderful Inkadinkado stamp set, 'Wedding/Marriage'. The frame was made using the swirl in the set and stamping it 4 times to create the frame......I used Versacolour Misty Mauve for this. The Bride and Groom and sentiment were stamped in Versacolour Chateau Gray. The colours haven't come out that well in the picture though :(
Hope you like......I like this better than the first one I think :)
I would also like to enter this card into Pollycraft - Love and Marriage challenge.

LIM Saturday!

Good morning LIMettes!
I have not been blogging much this week as I've been off work so been doing lots with Keiran, plus seeing my brother, sis-in-law and gorgeous nephew!

Anyway, it is indeed Saturday morning so that can only mean one thing...the Less Is More Challenge! And this week it's One Layer, in the frame! So here is my first contribution......
There is a frame around this image but for some reason the close up picture won't upload! I have used one of my Nesties and manually embossed the frame onto the DL card blank. I did it manually because my 'Joy' machine always seems to cut them out rather than just emboss! I then stamped the image and sentiment from the Inkadinkado set I got last week. I finished with 2 tiny pearls.

I'm sure you'll see me more in the week!

More flutterings!

Good evening all!
Well I got all upset again today because my laptop went funny on me again to the point that I decided to give in and just buy a new one! So there was me, thinking I'd got a bargain, but by the time I'd had to but this key code and that internet protection, it had bumoed the price up by £100! Anyway, imagine how excited I was to open it up and get started, only to discover that I'd been given the wrong one! So now I have to traipse into town again tomorrow to change it! So back to my 'baby' I go. And here I am, on 'baby', at work posting the couple of cards I made today......

I used my new cArt-us butterfly stamps and stamped them with some Versacolour ink pads, then cut them out. For the first I added it to the aperture card and added a stamped swirl ovelapping the aperture. I finished with a little pink glitter and the sentiment, which was in mind after emailing Jan a couple of times today. So this one's for you Jan......I hope things are ok :)

For the second card I attached the butterflies with a little silicone glue under each wing to stop them from being flattened onto the card. The sentiment is LOTV and I finished with a few gems to carry the sentiment to the boldest butterfly. In my head, that was to signify the highest and boldest butterfly is the fulfilled dream!

These have (obviously) been made to enter into LIM - butterflies challenge

Hope you like!

Thank You! (CAS)

I was 'blog hopping' and discovered a fab blog, Less Is More, which is all about Clean and Simple cards. Although I love adding flowers and embellishments to my cards, sometimes it's nice just to focus on simplicity. So I decided to enter their challenge this week which is '3 squares' with a card I made for my good friend and inspirational card maker, Jen, to thank her for her knowledge, inspiration and the great crafting sessions!
I started with a DL card blank from Craft Creations to which I added some black ribbon. I stamped 3 different mini swirls from the Inkadinkado Flourishes set and then flooded each one with glossy accents. Once dry, I cut each out and attached them with silicone glue. I finished with the stamped greeting. Sorry but it's from my stash so I don't know where it's from.
Thanks for looking! :)
