Sketch Saturday #310 DT card

Hi all!
Today I have my card for this week's sketch at Sketch Saturday.
First, the sketch...

And now my card...

I used Stippled Blossoms and Feel Goods for my card, stamped in Crushed Curry and Wild Wasabi.

Here are close ups of the fabulous flowers from this brilliant 2 step set. These flowers are so easy to stamp using a Stamp-a-Majig. Simply stamp the main flower, then the detail over the top...beautiful!
And here is the whole card...

Do you recognise the same Designer Series Paper as I used in yesterday's card? In case you missed it, I used Afternoon Picnic DSP, this time I distressed the edges with my distressing tool.
This card is a lot less CAS and a lot more fussy than I have been used to lately, but I think I really like it! So much so, I may just make it into a Stampin' Framed!

If you would like details of the products I used today, please see yesterday's post.

If you would like to place an order for any of the current products I have used here, please feel free to contact me, or alternatively you can order direct from my online shop (the link is over in my sidebar>>>)

I am going to be enjoying an awesome day in Telford today at our Regional St5ampin' Up! training...I may even get a sneaky peek of the new catalogue!

Adopted New Baby

Good morning everyone! I am back from Berkshire, all refreshed but missing my family. I hope we get to see them again really soon!

Today is Thursday which means it's time for a new sketch at CAS - Colours and Sketches...

So here is my cute little card...

I used the cute Cuddles and Kisses and Sweetest Gift stamp sets, very simply stamped.

The paper is printed from MDS (can you tell I love my printable papers?) and I distressed all the edges using the distressing tool. I finished with Candy Dots.

If you would like to order any of the products I have used here, please click on my shop link (over on the right!), or contact me to place your order for you.

It is Keiran's birthday today, so I may not get any crafting done, but I'm sure I'll be back soon with something for you!

A bit of masking with In Colors

Good morning!
It's Sunday and I haven't entered the challenge at Less Is More yet! So here is my entry into Chrissie and Jen's theme challenge this week, which is

MASKING or STENCILLING

Funnily enough, I was showing on of my team, Serena, how to use the masking technique only the other day!

I already kind of decided what to do when I started making this card, but as I was looking for something to make a masking area from I found my Chalk Talk Framelits and decided to give those a try. So I firstly stamped my flower from Flower Shop in Summer Starfruit, then punched a flower out of plain paper using the Pansy Punch. I also cut the label from Chalk Talk out of plain paper and position both over the stamped flower. TIP: If you add a little Tombow Glue to the back of each shape and allow it to dry before sticking it down, it becomes repositionable.

I then stamped the Hardwood Background stamp in Midnight Muse over the top, added a Papillon Potpourri Butterfly and my sentiment. I really like how this card turned out...might try some more masking this week!

Flower Garden and creative way to make a shape without a framelit!

Morning all!
Not fed up of the heat yet? I certainly am not lol!

So here is another card I made at Jen's on Saturday...

It was my first time playing with this gorgeous new set, Flower Garden. (yesterday's card was the second play lol) I love flowers, and any way to use a stamp and punch combo is always going to be a winner with me!

Isn't it gorgeous? I am particularly loving this colour combo too! The stripe under the panel was done by rolling my Blender Pen onto the Crushed Curry ink pad then swiping it across my card.

Oh, speaking of the panel...have you seen the shape of it? Want to know how to create it without a die?? Simple really...I cut my panel out, then I placed the rounded edge of one of my ink pads along the edge of it, drew round it then snipped it using my super sharp Paper Snips! I finished it by using my distressing tool.

Supplies
Stamps - Flower Garden, Fabulous Phrases
Ink - Basic Gray, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Crushed Curry
Tools - Blender Pen, Paper Snips, Stamp-a-majig, Distressing Tool

If you would like to order any of the products I have used, or any of the other fabulous new products, please do contact me and I will be very happy to place your order for you.

Please click on the catalogue link on my sidebar to browse the yummy new catalogue, or for £4.95 inc. p&p I can send you your very own copy to drool over and write your wishlist in!

I have the day off today, but it's not going to be a relaxing one lol! I have the school run, a doctor's appointment, have to get a parcel to the courier's, gym, shopping, school run, swimming....it'll all get done eventually! I hope your day is slightly less hectic!

She Believed!

Good morning!
I hope you're having a good week so far?
I had a very productive day in my craft room last night and made 2 cards! Here is one of them...

I have used the ever inspirational Feel Goods stamp set and I embossed it in Basic Black EP onto a die cut piece of DSP from the lush Print Poetry paper stack. The strips of DSP are also from Print Poetry, which I distressed using my distressing tool, and the card base is Midnight Muse. I finished with some bling!

If you would like to find out more about the gorgeous Stampin' Up! products, or to order any, please do contact me and I will be happy to help!
I also hold Stampin' Up! parties and workshops, so if you would like to find out more, please don't hesitate to get in touch!

There are only 2 weeks left to order your retiring items so please don't forget to place your order before it is too late!

Sympathy & Prayers

Hi all :)
I have a quick card for you today for my card box for my stall...

Unfortunately I get asked a lot for sympathy cards and I never seem to have enough.

A closer look...

I have made this to fit the 1st challenge over at Muse Card Club where you have to take inspiration for the muse card. My inspiration is the embossed square and the flowers in the corner of the square.

Supplies used on this card
Cardstock - Whisper White, Pacific Point
Stamps - Summer Silhouettes, Petite Pairs
Inks - Pacific Point, Basic Gray, Daffodil Delight
Tools - Distressing tool

I am also entering this into the challenge at The Paper Players - #128

Swinging Birthday Boy!

Hello!
How's the snow where you are? It's melting quite quickly here...our snowman has lost his head already!

Anyway, looking to sunnier times and chance for little boys to play out, here is a quick card I made using up one of my previously coloured images...

This cute little man is from Lili Of The Valley and I coloured him with Promarkers, and chalked in the background.

I distressed the edges of the Dovecraft Sugar and Spice DP with some sandpaper, and the edges of the image and the embossed panel with my distressing tool. The embossed panel is from the Sale-A-Bration freebies from Stampin' Up! You can place your orders through me here. The sentiment is from Personal Impressions.

Thanks so much for popping by tonight! :)

Good Luck in Peru!

Good evening!
We have had a wonderful day at Knowsley Safari park! Apart from Keiran falling and having to go to hospital, bless him! He banged his head really hard falling up some steps and had to go to the hospital to get checked out. Luckily, he's absolutely fine, and the staff at Knowsley were fantastic, as were the paramedics and hospital staff! We got given free tickets to go back again, too, and they've even said that Keiran can meet one of the sealions next time, as he missed out on seeing the show! How fab is that?!

Anyway, time for a card. I got a text late Saturday night for an emergency commission for 4 good luck cards for 4 ladies who are heading off to Peru to do the Inca Trail for a local children's charity. So here's what I came up with in a hurry yesterday...

I remembered that Paddington Bear is from Peru so I thought he would be the perfect good luck charm for the intrepid ladies! So I 'Googled' Paddington colouring pages and found this adorable image of our beloved bear on a hike...how perfect! I coloured him with Promarkers and cut him out. I created a cloud and grass background, added a tiny Peruvian flag to half a cocktail stick, a sentiment and some gems and voila!

Challenges

Right...another rush order to make now, then bed I think! :)
