Perfectly Artistic Birthday

Good evening everyone!
I hope this post finds you well?

I got the urge to craft a little tonight, so I had a little look to see if there were any challenges I could enter and I came across the sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches and decided to have a go. Here's the sketch...

And here's what I made using some DSP that has been sat on my desk for weeks! I decided to rotate the sketch, just to be different!

This is Perfectly Artistic from the Spring/Summer catalogue and I'll be honest, I had planned to add a Melon Mambo or Watermelon Wonder flower/butterfly, but when I got my Botanical Builder Bundle out I spotted the feather and went with that instead!

I stamped the feathers using Sahara Sand for the main and Crumb Cake for the veins, then to give them shape after die cutting I creased them gently down the middle. I added some Whisper White Organza ribbon, the feathers and Linen Thread, and a sentiment from Petite Pairs.

I apologise for the photos...I'm not so good at taking them in the dark!

Have a lovely evening and I'll see you soon :)

A little love...

Hello everyone!
How have you all been?? I know you're probably reeling with shock at seeing me blog since it's been such a while! I have had a lot of family difficulties over the last few weeks and had a lot to deal with, but I think I am slowly getting back on track now, so I thought I would share a card I made on Sunday...it was originally made for a commission but I loved it so much I made a similar version for my stall stash!

This is a wedding card and I used some printed vellum I've had in my stash for years...I think it looks gorgeous with the Real Red hearts underneath, don't you?

I added some of the beautiful Whisper White Organza Ribbon and a few Rhinestone Basics Jewels and there we have a classy and elegant wedding card!

I am entering this into the challenge at Less Is More, which has the theme 'Congratulations' this week, and also CAS on Sunday where the challenge is to use Vellum.

I hope to be back again very soon...have a lovely Tuesday! :)

Grosgrain candles

Hello everyone!
Yay I have happy news....my laptop has come back all fixed!
I am soooo relieved, you have no idea! Let me just say that I am so thankful for PC World's Know How team!!
Note to self: BACK EVERYTHING UP!

Ok, so now I have half a chance of getting back to normal, I would like to share a pretty candle I made for my stall this weekend...

I have used Bermuda Bay Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and Whisper White Organza Ribbon, finished with a Frosted Finishes embellishment (sadly retired)

Can you see how gorgeous the gems are? I used a Costal Cabana Blendie to colour them to match the ribbon!

I really love these and I will be back to show you more over the coming week :)

Right, time to organise all my files now and back them up!
Have a lovely Monday!

Grandma or not??

Good morning!
Wow I can't believe I'm late with my Sketch Saturday post again!
But, here it is!
This week's sketch has been designed by the lovely Carla...

So I used it to design a new baby card for Mike's son and his girlfriend...

I created the sentiment in MDS and then I embossed some hearts across the bottom using a retired embossing folder.

The cutie little shoes are from Baby We've Grown and I coloured them with Rose Red ink and a Watercolour Pen.

So...if Mike is a Granddad now, and I am dating him, does that make me a Grandma??

On that note, I'm off to work! Have a lovely day!

25 years of wedded bliss!

Hello crafty peeps!
How are you today? I am here, late again, with my DT post for this week's Sketch Saturday! I had the card made, but just didn't get round to writing up the post! So here is our sketch this week...

Anyway, I went to the silver wedding party of Mike's boss last night, so of course, I needed a suitable card. So here is what I made...

I used a few Stampin' Up! bits and a few bits from my stash to make this. I used MDS for the sentiment, The hearts are from the fabulous upcoming Autumn/Winter catalogue, from the Snowflake Card Thinlit Die set, and the ribbon is the gorgeous Whisper White Organza Ribbon.

The other items are from my stash which is gradually diminishing, finally!

The card was very well received and I was even told I should've brought some business cards to hand round! Oh well...must be better prepared in the future!

So how will you interpret out sketch this week?

Happy Wedding!

Good morning all!
I am quickly typing this after a very late night last night, and today I have a very long day at a craft fair! But for those of you who want to know, my date went pretty well last night, and I think there will definitely be a second date! :D

Anyway, it is Saturday so that means it's Sketch Saturday time! So here is this week's sketch...

I used the sketch for a wedding card commission I had, as I thought it would work well for it. The image was a freebie from a magazine years ago, but I used Fancy Foil Designer Vellum and 5/8'' Organza Ribbon from my online shop, along with Hearts Framelits, Word Window Punch, and a sentiment from Teeny Tiny Sentiments. This is actually a 7x7in card...a bit larger than usual, but not huge!

I printed the image onto Whisper White...isn't it lovely?

Like I said, I have a busy day today so I better get going! See you tomorrow if I have the energy left to blog! ;)

Boy Christening card

Hello everyone!
It's Saturday which can mean only one thing...a new sketch at Sketch Saturday!
I decided to use the sketch to make a card for a christening I'm going to tomorrow...

I used the lovely Trefoil Cross for this card, stamped in Baja Breeze. Yes I know it's retired but I find it the best 'baby boy' colour.

The ribbon is Whisper White Organza Ribbon and the paper is printed from MDS. I created the sentiment on MDS and after cutting it out into a strip, I punched the edges using the Petite Curly Label Punch. I finished with a Whisper White Candy Dot.

Please click on the pictures to find the products directly in my online shop.

I also made a matching memory tin but I'm not showing that until tomorrow...just in case my friend sees it, so do pop back and see it then :)

We look forward to seeing your entries this week!

I am now off to do a 5k park run with Keiran, then we are going to The Well Being Farm for his birthday party...he will sleep well tonight! ;)

Have a fab Saturday!
