A little metal...

Hey all!
Have you got a weekend of fun planned for this bank holiday? I am working, sadly, but we are going to Southport for a few days on Monday, which I am very much looking forward to!

I would like to welcome yet another new follower, Deborah to my little blog. She is incredible at colouring...you should check her cards out!

So today's card has been made for the new challenge over at Less Is More...it's been a long time since I entered on a Saturday morning! The recipe this week is ...
METAL

So here is my offering...

I used Work Of Art for this male card (yay a male card!). I masked off the middle section before stamping the long stamp in Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake and Tip Top Taupe, then scored across the panel.

The sentiment is from Remembering Your Birthday and stamped in Crumb Cake. I finished with a Gold Basic Metal Button along with some Linen Thread.

I'm off to work now...I hope you have a lovely weekend!

Amazingly Amazing!

Hello all!
It's Thursday so it's time for our new challenge at CAS-Colours and Sketches, and as it's the fifth week of the month, it's a double!!

I have used our sketch this week to make a card for my wonderful Mike, just to let him know how much I appreciate him!

I used Work Of Art for the zig-zags and the sentiment from Painted Petals. The sentiment is exactly what I want to say to him!

I finished with a couple of dots punched using the 1/4in punch, which is in the Weekly Deals this week, reduced from £8.25 to £6.19...what a bargain!

What are you making this week? We can't wait to see! :)

Did you get any snow last night? We actually did! Well, as I write this post and schedule it to publish this morning, we had about 2 inches...snow day! Hope you have a good one, whatever you are doing :)

Brrrrummy Birthday!

Good morning!
It is time for our latest challenge at CAS-Colours and Sketches, and this week, as it's the 5th week, it's the double! Yup! A colour combo and a sketch!
So here is Jacqueline's challenge for you...
I was initially a little stuck with the sketch, but then in a flash of inspiration I came up with this...

I have used a retired stamp for the dune buggy, but the rest of the products are current. I stamped the chevrons from Work Of Art, in Chocolate Chip, onto a couple of Essentials Wooden Elements...don't you think they look like tyre tracks?

The sentiment is from Remembering Your Birthday, and I attached the ribbon with staples.

So after an initial struggle, I am quite pleased with my card!

We're looking forward to seeing your cards this week...go on...push yourself out of your comfort zone!

Pictogram Thank You!

Good morning!
I hope you are having a good week so far?

I have been very busy making commission cards and working on 2 sets of wedding invitations, but I managed to very quickly make this sweet little 10cm x 10cm card using my new stamps and new In Colours!

See if you can guess the stamp set...

I used this yesterday too; it's Pictogram Punches ...I can see me using this one quite a lot!

I scored 2 lines across the topper piece of card which is 9cm square. I then used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to position the sentiment (from Work of Art) and vase just where I wanted them. The flowers were then stamped and punched using the matching punch from Itty Bitty Accents punches. I curled the petals and popped them onto the vase. All the colours are the new In Colours...they work really well together don't they?

If you would like to order any of the lush new products, you can do so via the link on my sidebar >>>>>
Alternatively, please do contact me to place your order for you, or to order a FREE catalogue!

It's a lovely day today, so I hope you get chance to enjoy it!
Have a good one!

You're a Star!!

Good morning and a huge welcome to my newest follower aussie aNNie...I hope you enjoy visiting me from time to time! :)

On Saturday I told you that Keiran and I would be doing the Race for Life on Sunday, if you remember? Well we did it! More to the point, Keiran did it! And he totally blew me away!! We completed it in 34:47mins!!! I am so very, very proud of him! He jogged away and didn't complain...my little hero!

Doesn't he look proud??

Ok, back to crafty news!
I got a new delivery of Stampin' Up! goodies yesterday, and I have another coming today too...exciting times! :)

I love playing with new stash, and within seconds of Mr. Brown (UPS man) coming, I had ripped open my package and got straight to making this card! I think I was inspired by Keiran when I made this!

I used 2 of the new stamp sets I ordered to make this...Work of Art and Pictogram Punches. I punched the stars out using one of my new Itty Bitty Accents Punches and stuck them back into the holes after curling them up a little for dimension.

I also used new colours...the new In Colors are really zesty and I thought these went well together for a male card. I used Mossy Meadow, Tangelo Twist and Hello Honey.

All the lovely new products from the catalogue are now available to buy and if you need a catalogue, please do contact me and I'd be happy to pop one in the post for you! :)

And if you enjoyed reading today, why not join up as a follower then you'll never miss out on my newest creations! I'd love to welcome you to my blog! :)
