Feathery Thanks

Hi everyone!
Did you have a good bonfire night? We went next door to their annual bonfire and firework display...it was a lovely night!

So today is the new challenge at CAS - Colours and Sketches and it is my turn to host this month!

So the first week is a colour challenge, and this is the colour combo you have to work with this week...

Now when I chose these colours, I had Christmas in mind (now that Halloween and Bonfire night are out of the way!)

As you can see, that idea went by the wayside...

I went into my craft room, and sat on the desk from when I first played with this stamp set, were some gold embossed feathers! So what better place to start than here? The feathers are from the Four Feathers stamp set and are die cut using the matching Framelits. We were very lucky to each have been given this bundle at convention back in October...how awesome is that?!

I simply scored 3 lines across the Very Vanilla cardstock, then stamped the sentiment from Good Greetings in Cherry Cobbler.

I finished by popping the panel up on Dimensionals, and adding a Linen Thread bow.

I was a bit dubious about this stamp set, if I'm honest. It's not that I don't like it, I just didn't know how I would be able to use it! I have now realised that I actually love it, and I am sure you will be seeing me use it lots more!

So, what will you make using this colour combo? Maybe something Christmassy?? I can't wait to see!

A one layer Festival of Tree!

Hello again!
Here is another of the lovely Christmas cards I made last week...this one is truly simple!

This is another aperture card...I think they offer a lot of interest without too much fuss, don't you? Again, see how the light shine's through, just like yesterday's card?

I began by die cutting the tree shape using the die from the Snowflake Card Thinlits. The Magnetic platform for the Bigshot made sure my little tree stayed in position whilst I die cut it...I don't know how I managed before I got mine!

then I carefully, and very lightly, drew through the aperture the outline of the tree. This was my guide for stamping one of the trees from the Festival of Trees stamps on the inside of the card.

I then simply line up the stamp inside the pencil lines and stamped my Pear Pizzazz tree, which was easy as they are Photopolymer so I could see exactly where I was stamping. The sentiment is from the Good Greetings stamp set and I used my Stamp-a-ma-Jig to perfectly place that. I finished with a few tiny nail art gems.

The Good Greetings stamp set is an exclusive set, available FREE, only if you place an order of £200 or more. You can either place a lovely yummy order yourself, get friends and family to combine an order with you, or host a party and if the sales reach £200, you will receive the set FREE!

Please contact me for more information on this fabulous offer!

A Christmas stamp is for other cards, not just for Christmas!

Good morning!
How is your week going? Since Keiran went back to school on Tuesday, things seem to have calmed down and got back into a routine here. I have managed to blog every day and even managed to get some crafting in too!
Keiran is in Year 2 now and has told me that the teacher really makes them work! Must be a bit of a shock from all that playing over the last two years!

Anyway, here is one of the cards I manage to make this week...

Now I wonder....can you guess the stamp sets I used? Of course, there is the old faithful Dictionary background stamp, which is perfect for creating backgrounds like this.

I then used Wondrous Wreath for the flowers, stamping in Cherry Cobbler and die cutting them using the matching framelit...see, a Christmas stamp isn't just for Christmas!

I added the sentiment using the lovely Good Greetings Hostess set, FREE when you spend, or host a party with sales of £200 or more! Here is a reminder of that wonderful set, which comes in clear mount or wood mount.

These are really lovely sized sentiments that fit brilliantly onto your A6 and 6x6in cards.

Here is what I used for this card...

If you would like to order any of these products, just click on the pictures above, or you can use my online shop link over on my sidebar >>>>>

Or if you like, you can contact me for a chat and I can place your order for you!

One thing I love about being a demo is that I can fit it in around all the other craziness in my life! I am a single Mum to a wonderful 6 year old who has a lot of after school activities, I have a job, a new man to find time for, and yet I can still hold craft classes, craft, and run my Stampin' Up! business around all of that! It is a fun way to earn extra money to go towards more crafty goodies, a better craft room, or even extra money to go towards Christmas!

If you, or someone you know, would be interested in a wonderful opportunity to earn extra money doing something you love, please do contact me for more information. You can also find out more here.

Tomorrow is a bit of a special blog post as it is the famous Pinkie Blog Hop! Do come by and see all the inspired projects using products from the Autumn/Winter catalogue. I look forward to seeing you then!

Zoo babies and a 'little' mistake...ooops!

Hello!
It's a new challenge at CAS-Colours and Sketches today, and we have a fun colour combo for you!

I don't make many kids' cards these days, so I thought I should change that...

I used the super cute Zoo Babies for my card...don't you just love this cheeky monkey, swinging in with a birthday wish?

I popped the sentiment onto a banner, but if I'm honest, it was to cover a big mistake...I stamped the sentiment upside down!! Part of me wanted to leave it like that as it was fun, but I decided to correct it. I pierced the edges for a bit of texture. I layered the stamped panel onto some Blackberry Bliss card.

That fabulous sentiment, by the way, is from a brilliant hostess set called Hello Love, which you can earn as one of your hostess gifts if you spend £150 or more! On top of that, you can earn this awesome new sentiment set when you spend £200!!

If you would like to know more about hostess freebies, and how to earn them, please feel free to contact me...I am always happy to help!
