Wondrous Thanks!

Hello everyone!
Did you have a good weekend?? Although I was working, I had a lovely date night with Mike on Saturday...it's lovely to spend quality time together after a busy week!

Last week I had a very productive day playing with some of the new Autumn/Winter catalogue products, and here is another one of them...and it's not a Christmas card!

Don't you love the way the light shines through the sentiment??

I wanted to use the Wondrous Wreath bundle for something other than a seasonal card this time, just to show how versatile it is. And it is a one layer card!

I used So Saffron for the first stamping and Hello Honey for the second. I did stamp each colour off first to give a more subtle effect. I then stamped the little flowers, in Blackberry Bliss, several times with one inking before die cutting with the matching Framelit. I also cut the middle out of the wreath and then stamped the sentiment, from Lots of Thanks, in Basic Gray, positioning it perfectly using my Stamp-a-ma-jig.

Here is what I used...
I am entering my card into the challenge at Colour Q this week...

I hope you have a lovely Monday planned...I am working, gym, school meeting then teatime! Haha it's fun to be busy! ;)
Have a good one!

CASEd Papillon Potpourri...is it yours?!

Helloooo!
Are you enjoying the bank holiday in the UK? I am, even though I have been working. Keiran has been with his Dad all weekend and while I miss him like crazy, it has been nice to have some evenings to myself.

During one of my evenings 'off', I made this card, which was inspired Amanda's card I found on Pinterest, which you can find here.

I have used En Francais, (in fact, this is a piece that was laying on my desk already stamped - Frugal Friday!) I cut out an aperture using the Labels Collection Framelits and paper pierced around both the inner and outer of the shape.

I then used a Papillon Potpourri butterfly, stamped in Daffodil Delight onto So Saffron Cardstock and cut out using the matching punch. I finished with some Daffodil Delight Seam Binding.

Here are links to each of the products I used...

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll pop back again soon :)

Hardwood Easter Cross.

Hello peeps!
I have an Easter card for you today that I made for my neighbour. It was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest. You can see the original here.

I stamped the Hardwood Background stamp in Soft Suede on Crumb Cake cardstock, then cut two strips. I added a cross of Linen Thread to give the effect it was holding them together.

The flowers are created using two of the punches from the Bitty Punch Pack, and the middles are punched holes with a little Crystal Effects for some subtle shine. The sentiment is from Blessed Easter and is stamped with Crumb Cake and So Saffron.

I'm entering my card into the challenge at SUO Challenges - Easter.

Do you send Easter cards? This will be the first year that I have. I'm not sure why I never have before...

Anyway, I'm off to work...catch you tomorrow!

A prettyful thank you!

Good morning!
Have you had a good weekend? I have been working, gardening, (yes it's that time of year again!), and I did manage to fit a little crafting in last night...

This card was one of those cards that just kind of built itself...after I got it wrong the first time! I used Summer Silhouettes and Sweetest Gift for this one. Don't you just love these tiny flowers?

The trellis, leaves and tiny flowers are from SS and the sentiment and punched panel are from SG. I created the sentiment panel by stamping and punching the main part out of Vellum Card Stock, using the Decorative Label Punch then I stamped and punched the sentiment using the Large Oval Punch to make it stand out. I used Tombow to adhere the vellum...it is awesome...totally invisible!!

I do rather like it when a card suddenly comes together...makes crafting worthwhile! I am entering it into the colour challenge at Dynamic Duos this week...

I's love it if you pop back tomorrow to see the card I sent my brother to celebrate the birth of my new niece :)

CAS sketch challenge

Good morning everyone and a big, warm welcome to yet another follower...Linda! I'm honoured to have followers and I hope I can be of inspiration to each and every one of you!

Ok so today is Thursday which means it's a new challenge at CAS - Colours and Sketches. This week is a sketch challenge...what do you think of this?

I do love this layout! I toyed with using a coloured background, but it seemed to 'clog' the card up somewhat, so here is the very clean card I made instead...

I used the flower stem stamp from the hostess set Morning Meadow, and stamped it in Smoky Slate. I added a few little So Saffron flowers punched out with one of the Bitty Punch set, and finished with Bermuda Bay Candy Dots.

The sentiment is from another hostess set...Express Yourself and is stamped in Bermuda Bay. Do you like the shadows? I simple mounted my punched shapes onto Smoky Slate, slightly offset so they look like shadows...cool huh?

I noticed that my card fits in with the challenge over at Less is More this week - 3 of Something.
