Celebrate!

Good afternoon all!
So I decided to have a little look at the Less Is More challenge today, seeing as I have been back in my craft room the last few days, and even blogged, and I was gobsmacked to see that it is their 300th challenge today! Wow! I remember joining in on one of their very first challenges way back when I first started crafting! So I really did have to make something for their challenge, which is

Celebrations and Festivals

So here is what I came up with...

I used the really gorgeous All God's Grace stamp set, which I turn to so often for Baptism, Christening and Confirmation cards. I heat embossed the cross with Silver Stampin' Emboss before fussy cutting it out amd popping it up on Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment in Silver Encore, using the Stamp-a-Majig to position it perfectly. (yes I still use mine!) I finished with some paper piercing both under the sentiment and on two opposite corners, and a pearl.

I hope you'll pop over and see Chrissie and all the LIMettes and see what they made, and maybe even join in with their celebrations!

I also used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.

Happy Saturday!!

You can order any of the items I used today by either contacting me, or clicking on my shop link over there on the right >>>

Many Merry Stars

Good morning all!
I hope you're having a good week so far!

I'm here with my DT card for today's challenge at CAS-Colours and Sketches. It' a colour challenge this week...let's take a look...

I do love this colour combo and it seems to be right on trend for Christmas this year...

I used the fab new Many Merry Stars set from the Autumn/Winter supplement for my multi layered card. I heat embossed the 2 star stamps with Silver Stampin' Emboss powder. I carefully positioned the 3 words so I could stamp them in the middle of the top star...easy to do with Photopolymer stamps!

I then die cut the large star and the Lost Lagoon stars using the matching Stars Framelits. The top star was hand cut out as I wanted it to be a little smaller than the framelit size (it was easy to do by follwing the lines). I embossed the Lost Lagoon panel with the Lucky Stars Embossing Folder and finished with a Smoky Slate Tafetta Ribbon bow.

We're looking forward to seeing your gorgeous cards and don't forget, we are also having a DT call too!

Have a great day and hopefully I'll see you soon!

A little bit of Brussels!

Helllooo!
I realised yesterday that I haven't really shared a lot from my trip to Brussels earlier this month. I think much of the reason is because I, sadly, lost a lot of my photos. Somehow, my memory card got corrupted...it's a good job convention is in Brussels again next year then! I will share a few of the photos I do have at the end of my post.

Luckily, I do have photos of the beautiful pillow gift I gave to my lovely convention roomie, Paula! What do you think of this?

Yes, I played with the fabulous Curvy Keepsakes die again...sorry but I just can't resist! I used the stunning I Love Lace stamp in Silver Encore ink, and added some lovely Silver Glimmer Paper leaves, punched from the Bird Builder punch.

I finished with a couple of little flowers from the Pictogram Punches, and a couple of Rhinestones Basic Jewels. Can you see the candle inside? Don't worry, it's not a naked flame! It is a battery powered candle! I created some handmade Washi Tape to go round it using masking tape. I simply stamped the I Love Lace stamp onto the masking tape...it looks really effective and just finishes the candle nicely.

Oooh almost forgot! Can you see a little something else in there??

There was a beautiful Swarovski Crystal bracelet inside!

Ok, so, as promised, here are a few of my favourite pictures from Brussels...

First, the very beautiful square at night...

This fella was carved from pure chocolate!

Some veeerrrrry expensive chocolates!

Le Mannequin Pis...(yes...it's a little boy weeing!) (and I do mean little!)

Some of Pierre Marcolini's stunning chocolates and Macaroons...

The very lovely Shelli being presented with all our birthday cards, especially made for her!

And finally, some of the lovely ladies who I enjoyed spending Sunday morning with...Tanya Paula, Shelley and Lisa...

We had the most wonderful time, (and a LOT of chocolate!) and I can't wait to do it all again next year!

Have a lovely Friday!

Wedding invitation design

Good morning!
I am posting this very quickly, again before work!
As you may remember, I was designing wedding invitations, which obviously I can't show you yet, but I can show you one of the designs she didn't choose...

I used the very elegant Mr & Mrs stamp set which I stamped in Silver Encore then embossed in Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder.

I also White embossed a Flowering Flourish onto the front before adding my embossed panel.

These are very elegant and could be made in many different colours to match the wedding colours.

I'm sure I will be back soon with the actual design...when I know they have been sent out!

I'm off now so have a fab, fun crafty/family Sunday!

Guest design for Less Is More!

Good morning LIMettes!
I have exciting news! I have been asked to guest design at Less Is More while Jen takes a couple of weeks off! I am thrilled to have been asked, and I only hope I can do the challenges justice!

This week's challenge is

FELT

It's a while since I have used felt, but I have made a couple of cards for you to see.

This first one is made using some felt which looks a lot like the colour Raspberry Ripple, and it looks lovely teamed with the sparkly black felt. I used the Dress Up Framelits to create a little dress and cardigan. The embossing is done with the Perfect Polka Dots EF, and the sentiment is from the hostess Express Yourself stamp set.

My second card is created by stamping the Festive Flurry stamps in Silver Encore onto white sparkly felt, then cut it out using the matching framelits. (these stamps and framelits are available as a bundle with a 15% discount) The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments, stamped in Silver Encore, and the papers are the Winter Frost DSP. I finished with a super sparkly Frosted Finishes Embellishment...these are stunning in real life!
