Six Sided Sampler....it's been a while!

Good afternoon everyone!
First of all, I'd like to welcome my newest follower, Urska, to my blog. Urska is from Ljubljana in Slovenia and has a lovely, creative blog. I had the pleasure of visiting Ljubljana in 2007...it's beautiful there!

It's my secone week hosting this month at CAS-Colours and Sketches this week and I have designed the following sketch for you...

In my craft class last Friday, one of my ladies was looking through the catalogue and fell in love with the Six Sided Sampler, which reminded me that I haven't used it in quite some time! So as I had it out for her to look at, and my UPS man hasn't been with all my new catalogue goodies yet, I decided to use it for this card!

I stamped the hexagons in Pink Pirouette and So Saffron and punch using the Hexagon Punch, and used a Wisteria Wonder card base. The side panel is embossed with the Hexagon Embossing Folder and the flowers are from Pictogram Punches, punched with the matching Bitty Punches.

I finished with the sentiment from Six Sided Sampler and gem on one of the flowers. A nice feminine card I think!

Now I had a visit from the UPS man yesterday afternoon....oooooh I am so going to have some fun with all those new stamps! Watch this space! ;)

Enjoy playing with the sketch and I look forward to seeing all your creations! :)

Beautiful Birthday

Hello everyone!
I am really happy to welcome yet another new follower, Lynn! It's really lovely to have you here! :)

Remember the card I made yesterday? Well I had a circle left after I had made it so I decided to use it on another card, again using the Less Is More Sketch. Here's a reminder of the sketch...

And here is my second entry into the challenge...

This is a much softer card than yesterday's, and uses a lot of bits that were lying on my desk! In fact, the only new bit was the card blank! The butterflies are from the Beautiful Wings Sizzlits and the heart was from the Hearts Collection Framelits, which I embossed using the sadly retired Pretty Print EF.

The sentiment is from Express Yourself, stamped in Wisteria Wonder.

Have a lovely Tuesday!

Happy Hour!

Good morning everyone, especially all you sketchy fans out there!
We have a new challenge at Sketch Saturday

So here is how I used the sketch...

I got inspiration for the colours from Colour Q - #235 this week...aren't they a gorgeous combination?

I used my slightly neglected Happy Hour stamps, some retired DSP, Calypso Coral Chevron Ribbon and a button from the Subtles collection.

I also stamped a cocktail inside the card.

Well...thank you!

Hello everyone!
Ooooh look! Another new follower! A great big welcome to you, Vicky...I hope you enjoy my blog! :)

I know I've been missing for a couple of days...it was a work weekend and I was finishing a wedding order so I didn't get chance to 'pleasure craft'! But I made up for it yesterday morning by making 4 thank you cards for some last minute Sale-a-Bration customers!

Here is a pair I made using some unused bits on my desk...

I used Gorgeous Grunge and Hello Lovely stamps in the background, then used up all my punched Papillon Potpourri butterflies that were made for another project, but I made too many!

These took only a couple of minutes to make, but they look so effective don't they? I like the one with the touch of Bermuda Bay...which is your favourite?

Simply Simple Stars

Hello everyone! Are you ready for a new challenge? Today over at CAS - Colours and Sketches we have a lovely fresh colour combo for you!

I felt these colours deserved a true clean style, so here it is...

This is one of the simplest cards I've made for a while! Quite simply, I stamped 3 stars using the three challenge colours and cut them out. Then I used my Stamp-a-Majig to perfect place my sentiment and mounted the panel onto Calypso Coral, then a Pool Party card blank.

I'm entering my card into the Clean & Simple challenge this week.

Crosses of Hope

Good morning!
I had such a lovely afternoon designing wedding invitations with Jen yesterday! I have 3, possibly 4 weddings to cater for this year, so it was nice to sit and play with different ideas and materials. One thing we did discover, Tombow glue, available from my online shop, is perfect for attaching vellum to anything! It is actually invisible! I can see a lot of it getting used in our future ventures!

Anyway, you probably want to see a card right? Ok well then I might just spoil you!

This set of pretty Easter Cards is made using the Crosses of Hope stamp set. Now I know the physical set is retired, but the digital version on MDS is still available for only £1.50, and the best thing is that you can resize them to whatever size you like!

I teamed the crosses (which I coloured with my Stampin' Write Markers) with the sentiment from Blessed Easter, available from the Spring/Summer catalogue and finished with two of the tiny butterflies from Beautiful Wings Embosslits. I love the coloured card blanks I used in these cards...they really give that touch of spring!
