Everything Eleanor box frame

Hi everyone!
Well after the last little box frame I made using retired DSP, I decided I should give it a go with current DSP, so here is a pretty one I made using a 12in x 12in sheet from the Neutrals DSP paper stack.

I really love the delicate pattern on this paper don't you? I added a piece of white card to the background to hide the stripes that are on the other side of this double sided paper, and onto that I stamped the swirl from Everything Eleanor. This was one of may favourite sets so I'm really sad to see that it's retiring. If you want this set, you'll have to be quick!

The flower is stamped in one of the gorgeous new 2016/2018 In Colours, Sweet Sugarplum. I love this new colour!

A little tip that I realised in my eagerness to make this....stamp onto your back piece before you fit it into the frame or you may struggle to fit your block into the aperture! I almost fell fowl but got round it luckily!

I'm going to be taking delivery of some customer orders tomorrow, so if you placed an order, I'll be in touch as soon as I do! Oh and there might be a little something in there for me too! ;) I'll share when I get chance!

Have a lovely evening!

One for my guy!

Good morning!
I know it's been a while, but I'm still around, and still crafting! I just haven't felt much like blogging, if I'm honest. I've had busy days with work and the gym, not to mention running around after my little man, so I have just been relaxing in the evenings, and while I know I should be blogging, I would rather create!

So today I'm showing you the birthday card I made for Mike earlier this month...

I used the brilliant Guy Greetings stamp set for this one, along with some Neutrals DSP, a Soft Suede card base, and a bit of scrap Burlap Ribbon I had lying on my desk! It was just there, and I just knew it would work perfectly to 'ground' my man!

I fussy cut my man out, then popped him up on some Dimensionals to make him stand out. I used Watermelon Wonder ink for the sentiment to add some cheery contrast.

If you would like to order any of the products I used here, just click on the pictures below, and if your order is less than £150, use the hostess code to receive your exclusive free gift from me!

An Awesomely CASEd card!

Hello!
I hope you're having a lovely weekend? I Keiran came back Friday evening so yesterday we spent some quality time together and went for a 5k run!

Anyway, today I have a card to share that we made at craft class last Friday...

Now I must admit to CASE-ing this card! I saw a similar one on Pinterest so I tracked it down to the blog it originated from so I can give Chantal the credit she deserves! You can see her card here

All the stamping is created using the Awesomely Artistic stamp set...I do love it when you can use so many stamps from one set on a card! Another similar set is Work of Art.

I added some colour using Watermelon Wonder, and some texture using the Burlap Trim. I trimmed the edges off the burlap and pulled out some threads to fray the edges. I used these threads for the looping behind the dragonfly. The spots are stamped in Gold Encore and I added a little more gold with the sequins. The whold panel is then mounted onto some DSP from the Neutrals stack then onto a Soft Suede card blank.

I really do love this set! Do you have it? Maybe you'd like to share your creations with me? Pop your blog link in the comments and I'll come on over and have a look! :)

I'm off to church now...have a lovely Sunday!

Hats off to our sketch challenge!

Good afternoon!
Today is a sketch challenge at CAS-Colours and Sketches, so here is Jane's fab sketch...

And here is my DT card...

As soon as I saw the sketch I had this stamp set, Guy Greetings, in mind! I figured it would be perfect and teamed with some of the Neutrals DSP I think it makes for a fab male card, don't you?!

I stamped the main hat images in Black Memento ink, then after stamping in Versamark, I heat embossed the top hat in Basic Black Stampin' Emboss and mounted it with a Stampin' Dimensional.

We've had some gorgeous entries to our challenges recently, and I'm sure this one will be no exception!
Enjoy playing!

Tip Top Taupe for a tip top day!

Hi everyone!
I know this is a late post but I have been at the Stampin' Up! Regional Training event all day, and I realised as I set off this morning that I had forgotten to type up this post!

So, better late than never, and as promised yesterday, here is the final card from my In Colour 2015/2017 showcase...

I have used some of the lovely new Tip Top Taupe card stock and teamed it with some of the stunning new Neutrals Designer Paper...don't they go well together??

You can't really see it on this photo but the DSP has a slight sheen to it, which is just lush!
I used Label Love and the matching punch for the sentiment with a little Baker's Twine looped behind it.

This stamp set and punch are retiring this time around, so if you'd like to get your hands on them before they do, just click on the link to my online shop over there on the right >>>>>>

I had a brilliant day today, catching up with old friends and meeting new ones, and had a lovely journey down with fellow demo Em...oh and lots of swaps!

I am now off to admire some of those swaps, soak up some inspiration, then enjoy my dinner, cooked by my wonderful Mike as I type this, and a glass (or 3!) of red wine!

Have a lovely evening all!

Sneak Peek week...Mint Macaron!

Good morning everyone!
I am very excited this morning and for a Monday that's a good thing! As you may (or may not know), There will be a brand new Stampin' Up! annual catalogue coming out on the 2nd June, and I have some of the new products to show you!

This week I plan to show you some of the new In Colours and one of the new paper stacks!

So here is the first sneak peek! Are you ready??

So this gorgeous colour is one of the brand new In Colours, Mint Macaron. Isn't it gorgeous?? I have teamed it here with Soft Sky Seam Binding and Stitched Satin ribbon, so you can see how well they go together!

Did you notice the lovely DSP?? This is one of the designs in the brand new Neutrals Paper Stack, and what doesn't show very well is that it has a silver sheen! It really is gorgeous! The stunning butterfly is from the Butterfly Basics Framelits and is inked with the Mint Macaron....yummy!

I hope you have a lovely Monday and I hope you'll join me tomorrow for another Sneak Peek!

Frugal Friday #1

Hello everyone!
Welcome to Frugal Friday Challenge #1!
*If you would like to see my other posts this week, please scroll down*

The idea of my little challenge is to get you all to use up those tiny little bits that are lying all over your desk, instead of chucking them in the bin!
Each Friday in May I will start a new linky and each week I will choose a top 3. Then on 7th June I will choose a winner who will receive a little prize from me!

Remember the photo of scraps from yesterday's blog post? Well here is what I did with some of it...

This is created using only scraps from my desk with no extra stamping or punching other than the sentiment, and only a Candy Dot for added embellishment.

I'm quite chuffed that I used up so many bits...these could just as easily have ended up in the bin...what a waste that would have been! I sent this to a friend who is feeling a bit 'under it' at the moment. Hope you feel better soon hun :)

I'm also entering my card into the challenge at CAS-ual Friday this week where the theme is Three Thirds. I have used a 3 word sentiment and used only 1 third of my card.
CFC131: Three Thirds? The idea is to use three of something, could be colors, sequins, etc
on just 1/3 of the card, and keep it clean and simple.

Do you have scraps lying around your desk? Ok...well why not show me what you've made with yours? Blog a picture of the bits lying on your desk and then your completed card, or 3D item...whatever you choose, and link your project in the linky below for us all to see.

This is my first Frugal Friday and I'd love you to join in...who knows, it might helps you get desk looking a little clearer!

Have a lovely Frugal Friday!
