Happy Watercolor Thank You

Good morning LIMettes!
Yay look at me, here all bright and early!

Today's theme at Less Is More is...

One Layer - Spring Flowers

I very nearly went for one of my favourites at the moment, Blessed Easter, but I changed my mind and used a set I haven't used much.

I have stamped the background in Bashful Blue (sadly retired). I used the generational stamping technique (3 stampings with one inking). I then stamped the flowers over the top in Basic Gray, after stamping off once to give a softer image.

The sentiment was perfectly positioned used my Stamp-a-Majig and I paper pierced under it using the Paper Piercing Essentials Pack.

Up, Up & Away!

Happy Monday! No? Oh well....sorry lol!
Have you had a good weekend? I had a lovely one spent with my gorgeous little man!

I did manage to quickly make a couple of cards though, after he'd gone to bed...here is one of them.

This is the last 'retiring' card...I have used Up, Up and Away...another fab set that I'm sad to see go. I stamped it perfectly using my Stamp-a-majig tool in Lucky Limeade and Pumpkin Pie.

I again stamped the background using the 'acrylic block' technique!
Aren't they fab? I really love these little balloons...just wish I'd used them more!

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White
Stamp - Up, Up and Away
Ink - Bashful Blue, Lucky Limeade, Pumpkin Pie
Designer Series Paper - In Colours 2011-2013

Less Is More - Sand

Good morning LIMettes!
How are you? I have had such a busy week this week, with various things going on...I'll be glad to slow down....eventually!

So when I woke up this morning I did my usual thing and grabbed my phone to check out this week's challenge at Less Is More before I got out of bed!

SAND

Hmmmm....I will be honest and say that it didn't really rock my boat! Or did it? ;) Here is what I came up with...

I was going to be obvious and use Sahara Sand ink or card, as that was the first thing that popped into my head, but when I got it out it didn't look all that 'sandy' to me! So I went for a beachy theme and used Crumb Cake card as it looked a bit more realistic. I stamped the the boat in Soft Suede onto vellum.

The other colours are Bashful Blue and Baja Breeze, both retiring this weekend along with the fab Need For Speed stamp set :(

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Baja Breeze, Bashful Blue
Stamps - Need For Speed, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Ink - Soft Suede

If you would like to find out more about the gorgeous Stampin' Up! products, or to order any, please do contact me and I will be happy to help!
I also hold Stampin' Up! parties and workshops, so if you would like to find out more, please don't hesitate to get in touch!

There are only 2 days left to order your retiring items so

please don't forget to place your order before it is too late!

While you're here, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for following me over the last few years. As you know, Google Reader is gone after this weekend, and I would hate to see you all disappear, so please can I ask you to start following me on Bloglovin'?

That way I can still keep up with you all too! It's really easy to set up...just sign up for an account, then click 'Import Blogs' and it will transfer all your blogs from Google Reader... simple! :)

I hope you like my card. I have to take Keiran to a birthday party today, plus dog walking and I promised a dvd night too. I hope you have a lovely Saturday! :)

Just for you...

Morning all! Here is a quick card I have made for the Less is More  one layer on a coloured card blank week...

I say 'quick'...hmmmm well... I tried a number of ideas and didn't really like any of them, so they got scrapped, but this one I really quite liked! I stamped the flower from the Oh Hello set onto my Bashful Blue card blank in Raspberry Ripple and Wild Wasabi and coloured in the 'white' bits with Rose Red and Lucky Limeade.

I then stamped the sentiment, paper pierced the circle, and sponged Whisper White Craft Ink into the circle.

Supplies
Cardtock - Bashful Blue
Stamps - Oh Hello, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Ink - Raspberry Ripple, Rose Red, Wild Wasabi, Lucky Limeade, Whisper White Craft Pad

A quickie!

Good evening!
I have a really quick card for you tonight that I made as I didn't want to miss the deadline at The Paper Players this week!

Quite simply, I inked up my Solid Stripes stamp with Island Indigo and Bashful Blue markers and stamped onto the panel before matting onto Crumb Cake. The sentiment is also Island Indigo and Rich Razzleberry and the button and ribbon finish it nicely, I think :)

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White, Crumb Cake
Stamps - Solid Stripes, Itty Bitty Banners
Ink - Island Indigo, Bashful Blue, Rich Razzleberry
Framelits - Bitty Banners
Other - Island Indigo Satin Ribbon, Designer Buttons

If you would like to order any of the lovely Stampin' Up! products, please do contact me as I'd hate for you to miss out on such quality and gorgeous crafting goodies!

Up in the sky!

Hello!
I hope you've had a fab weekend! I have been working most of it but I did get a crafty afternoon/evening with Jen on Saturday, and here is one of the cards I made...

Since I got my sewing machine I have been a little bit addicted to using it, so when I found a fantastic kit with loads of different threads and matching spools in Aldi for about £3.50 I had to have it! So I used the orange thread for this card, which is almost an exact match for Pumpkin Pie! I turned the wheel by hand for the circular bit though...not brave enough to try at full speed yet!

Supplies
Cardstock - Crumb Cake
Designer Series Paper - Subtles
Stamp - Dinoroar
Ink - Pumkin Pie, Bashful Blue

If you would like to order any of the products I have used, please do contact me and I would be happy to help. Alternatively, you could join my next Stampers 6 club starting in June...see here for more information, and please feel free to ask any questions!

Challenges

Cards For Men - Anything Goes

I have work again today, so I'm off now, but I think I have a card for every day this week already, so please keep popping back! Oooooh and I have the very special 'book card' I made for my friend's Mum's birthday too....you really don't want to miss that one!

Have a lovely Monday!

Ties for the modern man!

Jen and I had a debate yesterday, during our craft session, about whether or not I should use pink on ties, on a card, for a man. I said that men do wear pink ties, she thought it looked girly! I have, however, stamped a pink tie! I like it and Keiran's Dad used to wear pink ties all the time. Hmmm...maybe that's why it didn't work out... lol!

Anyway, here is the (offending) card! ;)

I used my newish Houndstooth and Stripes embossing folders for some texture, and cut the sentiment out using the small Framelit from the Apothecary Accents set for some shape.

Supplies
Cardstock - Crumb Cake, Poppy Parade (retired), Bashful Blue (retiring)
Stamps - Best Dad Ever, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Inks - Pink Pirouette, Crumb Cake, Poppy Parade, Bashful Blue, Night Of Navy
Framelits - Apothecary Accents
Embossing Folders - Stripes, Houndstooth

If you would like to order any of the products I have used, please do contact me and I would be happy to help. Alternatively, you could join my next Stampers 6 club starting in June...see here for more information, and please feel free to ask any questions!

I'm working again today, so I'm off now, but I hope your Sunday is a nice one, whatever you're doing! :)

Blue Butterflies

Hello again!
Well after over a week off crafting and blogging it was a challenge to walk into my craft room this evening, mainly because I remember the mess I left it in on Christmas Eve!
But I did, and this is what I've made...

I've been dying to have a play with this gorgeous Papillon Potpourri stamp set since I got it! There is also a punch to make cutting the larger butterflies out a doddle!

I have also used my Stampin' Around wheel for the first time. I've been a bit put off buying one due to needing a different ink cartridge for each colour, so I only bought a black cartridge for mine to give it a go. However, I wanted to do this one in blue, so I removed the ink cartridge and ran the wheel over my ink pad. It works just fine as long as you only want to roll the length of a card, then it starts to fade, and the colour isn't constant, but for this card I really like that effect :)

Can you see my 'hidden' butterfly? I also stamped one on the bottom right corner inside the card.
I wanted to use a sympathy sentiment with this card but I don't have one that I thought looked right, so I am leaving it for now.

Supplies used:
Card Stock - Whisper White
Stamp - Papillon Potpourri, Very Vintage Stampin' Around
Inks - Not Quite Navy, Bashful Blue, Marina Mist, Midnight Muse
Punch - Elegant Butterfly
Die - Edglits Adorning Accents
Other - Whisper White Baker's Twine
