In Colour sneak peek day 2!

Hello, hello!
As promised, today I am showing you another of the gorgeous In Colours for 2015-2017...here it is...

This wonderful coral colour is Watermelon Wonder...isn't it lush?! It works so beautifully with the Bermuda Bay too, don't you think?

I embossed the base card with the Spring Flowers embossing folder, which is in the Spring/Summer catalogue but only until 31st May! The butterflies are from Papillon Potpourri and the sentiment is from Remembering your Birthday, punched with the Elegant Label punch.

Do pop back tomorrow to see some more upcoming products!

More pretty Papillon

Good morning everyone!
Well it really has been crafting weather the last couple of days hasn't it?? I did get a little done yesterday, and hope to fit some more in at some point today :)

Here is another little thank you card I made, again using the same stamp sets as yesterday's post, but I added a little strip of ribbon too!

This butterfly is stamped on WW card instead of Vellum, and I used the other embossing folder from the pair in the (sadly retired) set.

As I mentioned yesterday, there are lots of lovely items on the retiring list, many of them reduced by 80%, so do go and grab yourself a bargain! :)

I hope to see you tomorrow for my DT card for CAS-Colours and Sketches :)

Pretty Papillon

Hello everyone!
How was your bank holiday? I had a lovely time with my two favourite people...we visited Morecambe, played Game of Life, went to the skate park, watched a couple of movies...just brilliant!

Today I'm showing a mini card I made using one retired embossing folder, a lovely butterfly and a favourite sentiment...

This delicate butterfly is stamped from Papillon Potpourri onto Vellum Cardstock, and punched using the Elegant Butterfly punch.

The sentiment is part of a set of 'two part' sentiments, Petite Pairs. The inside says 'For everything you are to me'. Isn't that lovely??

Speaking of retired items, have you got the stamps, punches and accessories you wanted from the retiring list?? There are still tonnes of bargains to be had, with many items discounted by 80%!! Just click on the link below to find your bargains!
I have a couple of days off now, so I hope to get some serious crafting done! Have a lovely Tuesday!

A different stamping technique...Using Blendabilities!

Hi guys!
How's your week going so far? I hope you've had plenty of time to craft! I have...I have been making some things, other than cards, and today I have something a little different to show you...

I have altered a mirror that I bought at the weekend...I wanted to try something different! The thing was, I wanted to stamp on the frame of my mirror, but I only have black Stazon and the Stampin' Up! coloured inks are water based, so wouldn't dry on this surface. So I got on Ebay to see about getting some different coloured Stazon, but I didn't like the colours...they just weren't the same as our gorgeous colours!

Then I remembered a technique I used to use with my Promarkers, way back in my early days of crafting. So I tried it with my Blendabilities! Basically, I coloured the swirl stamp from Everything Eleanor with my medium Rich Razzelberry Blendabilities pen. Now, you have to work quite fast, and build up the colour a bit so the ink doesn't dry straight away, but it works! I stamped straight onto my frame and the ink is colourfast! How to clean the stamp? Just use Stazon Cleaner straight away!

I then added some butterflies from my favourite Papillon Potpourri, stamped in Rich Razzelberry onto Vellum Cardstock, and a few Basic Pearls Jewel Accents to finish. I love how this cam out, and now I know that I can stamp with my beloved Blendies, I will be doing it more often!!

I am heading to the gym now, if I can move when I get there...my legs are still stiff as a board from Monday's workout!

Have a lovely Wednesday!

Thank you Papillon Potpourri

Good morning everyone!
Wow it was cold here in Bolton this morning...bordering on frosty!! I guess winter is well and truly on the way!

Anyway, it's time for our new challenge at CAS-Colours and Sketches and this week it's Jacqueline's colour challenge...

So here is what my card...

I used a Crumb Cake card base and added a layer of Soft Sky (I used Core'Dinations card, which is retired) after I punched the butterfly out of the corner using the Elegant Butterfly punch.

I then inked up one of my Papillon Potpourri stamps and pressed the punched butterfly onto the stamp (for perfect placement). I finished with my sentiment from Lots of Thanks, which I inked up using Crumb Cake and Lost Lagoon Stampin' Write Markers.

Have you seen our new promotions by the way?? It is a wonderful opportunity to join Stampin' Up! AND/OR save extra on inks, card and stamps! See the links on my sidebar, or check out my post here for more info! It really is exciting!

I hope you have a lovely day today...I shall be working on projects for a crafty afternoon tea with 30 ladies this Saturday! I'm so excited I can't wait! :D

Crosses of Hope for a Christening

Hi everyone!
Well I know this is late...I actually had this card on the Sketch Saturday challenge blog in time, I just hadn't had time to blog it! Anyway, here is my DT card for this week's challenge. First the sketch...

I made my card for my friend's lovely daughter's Christening this past Sunday.

I used an old favourite stamp set, Crosses of Hope, as I love this particular cross from it! I embossed the background using the Lacy Brocade TIEF, and finished with some butterflies from Papillon Potpourri.

I heat embossed the cross with Silver Stampin' Emboss, then added it to my MDS generated sentiment, which I mounted onto a panel of Silver Glimmer Paper for a little sparkle.

Have you ever thought about joining Stampin' Up!? Well, I have some exciting news about an incredible offer for you tomorrow! So do pop back then to find out more!

Lost Lagoon Birthday Wishes

Good morning and happyban holiday Monday to all my UK friends! As usual, it is raining here, so it's a good day for crafting!

I have a card to show you that I made using the sketch over at Mojo Monday last week, but never got round to blogging it.

I have chosen a gorgeous colour scheme of Lost Lagoon, Daffodil Delight and sparkly silver....isn't it pretty? I do love the Silver Glimmer paper...it's soooooo sparkly!

The Butterflies are my favourite from Papillon Potpourri, and I used MDS to create the sentiment. This is a great way of getting the perfect colour match for the wording as you get to use all the Stampin' Up! colours.

I am too late to enter the challenge, but here is the sketch I used anyway...

I'm off to work now but I hope you have a wonderful day!

MDS meets Papillon Potpourri

Good morning!
I would like to give a big hello to my newest follower, Sid! Thank you for joining me on my crafty journey!

I have a lovely day planned today...I am working til 2pm then I have my friend Laura's wedding to go to, and I even have a plus one! ;)

But before all that, it's time for our new sketch at Sketch Saturday, and this week it has been designed by Laura...

So I used this sketch to make another commission card...

I also used my 'go to' girly papers from Twitterpated (available on MDS), and butterflies from Papillon Potpourri.

I printed the sentiment in MDS and embossed the panel with the Beautiful Baroque EF. I finished with die cut numbers from a retired die.

Right...off to work now...have a wonderful Saturday!

Flowers and Butterflies!

Hello everyone!
How is your weekend going? I have another stall today at the Oasis Academy at MediaCity UK...I'm sure I booked an outside stall so I hope the weather improves a bit!

So today's card is another commission...told you I've been busy!

I used mostly retired stock for this one, mainly because I love it all! Those gorgeous Papillon Potpourri butterflies are still current though, as is the matching punch.

I created the sentiment on MDS, which meant I could get matching coloured text. The beautiful Twitterpated paper I have used here is also available on MDS...how awesome is that?! I finished with some super sparkly Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

I used the sketch at Mojo Monday for my inspiration...

Well, off I go...I hope you have a lovely day!

A friend accepts us for who we are...

Good morning all and welcome to Bonnie, my newest follower! I am honoured that she has chosen to follow me as I am an admirer of her work! :)

I had a wonderful, if ridiculously hectic weekend, with a stall at a ladies lifestyle event, then helping Sarah out with her Stampin' Up! stall at The Great British Craft Fair in Bolton! Both were extremely enjoyable and I hope to repeat the experiences in the future!

So one of the items I made for my stall was another Stampin' Framed, and it sold on the evening to a lovely lady named Jane, who has also ordered one of my inspiration tins as a 'comment' tin for her Vintage Secret Tea Parties...don't they sound like fun?!

This one is again stamped and heat embossed with Pewter Stampin' Emboss (now reduced to just £2.96!). The quote is from Feels Goods and the flower is from Flowering Flourishes, stamped in Pacific Point. Isn't it a fab quote?

I die cut the panel with one of the Apothecary Accents Framelits and paper pierced the edges using the Paper Piercing Essentials pack, before mounting onto Pacific Point dotty DSP. I finished with butterflies from Papillon Pot pourri, which were punched using both matching punches and some Basic Rhinestone Jewels.

Here's what I used...

CASEd Papillon Potpourri...is it yours?!

Helloooo!
Are you enjoying the bank holiday in the UK? I am, even though I have been working. Keiran has been with his Dad all weekend and while I miss him like crazy, it has been nice to have some evenings to myself.

During one of my evenings 'off', I made this card, which was inspired Amanda's card I found on Pinterest, which you can find here.

I have used En Francais, (in fact, this is a piece that was laying on my desk already stamped - Frugal Friday!) I cut out an aperture using the Labels Collection Framelits and paper pierced around both the inner and outer of the shape.

I then used a Papillon Potpourri butterfly, stamped in Daffodil Delight onto So Saffron Cardstock and cut out using the matching punch. I finished with some Daffodil Delight Seam Binding.

Here are links to each of the products I used...

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll pop back again soon :)
