Spring flower on a snowy day!

Good afternoon all!
Wow the snow is really coming down here! If it hadn't rained so much first, we'd have a really good covering all ready, but so far it just isn't sticking :( Oh well!

So here is a pretty, spring card to share with you...

I used the lovely Crazy About You stamp set and matching Flower Medallion Punch for this one. I stamped the main flower in So Saffron twice, once without re-inking to give the lighter middle part, which I fussy cut out.

I stamped the leaves in Pear Pizzazz and the sentiment in Garden Green. I finished with a Candy Dot.

I do love the yellow/green combo...I got inspiration for this from a challenge...

I hope you're having a lovely, relaxing Sunday...maybe sledging later?? ;)

Mother's Day?? Already??

Hello everyone!
Well it's Valentine's day tomorrow...have you finished you card for your beloved? I have! ;) I'm not going to show you that today though, but I will show you the one that Keiran has made for one special little girl at school...how cute!

Anyway, here is what I have come to share...and please don't choke on your cuppa...I have already made my Mum's Mother's Day card!

The leaves are from the Crazy About You stamps and are each stamped twice, once without re-inking, in Smoky Slate, and the flower was coloured using Strawberry Slush, Pink Pirouette and Blushing Bride Stampin' Write Markers. I stamped it twice, fussy cut the middle and popped it up on a Dimensional. The side panel was stamped using one of the flowers the same set and one from Flower Patch.

Isn't it pretty? I'll admit, it didn't start out as a Mother's Day card, but when it came to the sentiment, I spotted this one in amongst the flowers in the Crazy About You stamp set and decided it was perfect teamed with the die cut 'happy' from the complimentary Thinlits!

I really do love this card...I hope my Mum will too!

I am entering my card into the following challenges...

As promised, here is the cute little gift that Keiran made for his little friend at school using the Groovy Love set...

And here he is proudly showing it off!

Enjoy your Friday!

A Blooming Birthday!

Good morning!
Ooops I'm a tiny bit late with my post for this week's CAS-Colours and Sketches challenge...I forgot today was Thursday!

Anyway, here I am and here is our challenge for this week...

This is not a colour combo I would normally think of, but once I used it I rather liked it!

I have used the lovely Flower Patch photopolymer stamps for all of this card...as they are clear as opposed to red rubber I get perfect placement all the time as I can see where I'm stamping!

The sentiment was coloured using two Stampin' Write Markers before stamping, and the flower was cut using the matching Flower Fair Framelits. I really love how the matching dies make crafting so much easier!
I finished with a Basic Rhinestone Jewel which I coloured using my Bronze pen from the Skin Tone set of Blendabilities. Oh yes, and I doodled a border too :)

I shall be back tomorrow with a card made using yet another sneak peek product from the Autumn/Winter catalogue! :)

I am now off to take Keiran to a gymnastic camp for him to have a go....he's so good at throwing himself around aimlessly that I think he'll quite enjoy doing it with some guidance!

Have a great Thursday and see you tomorrow :)

It's a Double!

Hello everyone!
Today is our new challenge at CAS-Colours and Sketches, and this week it's the double!

We would like to see you use both the colours and the sketch in your card this week.

So here is what I came up with...

I have used the lovely new Photopolymer stamps Flower Patch for my card. I stamped the flower 3 times in Crushed Curry, then die cut the bottom layer using the fab matching Flower Fair Framelits. The other two layers were hand cut and popped up on Dimensionals.

Here is a close up of the flower...

I stamped the sentiment from Lots of Thanks in Smoky Slate and punched out using the Large Oval Punch. I finished with a matching Candy Dot.

I love how the oval sentiment compliments the oval petals of the flower don't you?

I am entering this into the challenge at Less Is More this week which is anything goes...it's been ages since I entered a challenge!
Happy birthday to Chrissie, the owner of LIM!!

What are you going to make for our challenge...can't wait to see!
Have a lovely Thursday!
