Beautiful Birthday

Hello everyone!
I am really happy to welcome yet another new follower, Lynn! It's really lovely to have you here! :)

Remember the card I made yesterday? Well I had a circle left after I had made it so I decided to use it on another card, again using the Less Is More Sketch. Here's a reminder of the sketch...

And here is my second entry into the challenge...

This is a much softer card than yesterday's, and uses a lot of bits that were lying on my desk! In fact, the only new bit was the card blank! The butterflies are from the Beautiful Wings Sizzlits and the heart was from the Hearts Collection Framelits, which I embossed using the sadly retired Pretty Print EF.

The sentiment is from Express Yourself, stamped in Wisteria Wonder.

Beautiful Wings!

Hi lovely crafty peeps!
I have another thank you card to show you today...I seem to need to make them almost every day...not that I'm complaining...it's wonderful to have something to be thankful for!

This is also another card using up bits on my desk...yes I have LOTS of bits on my desk! (they are getting less now though!)

So what have I used? Beautiful Wings Embosslits, Bird Builder Punch, Morning Meadow and Woodgrain Background stamp. I used Core'Dinations cardstock for my branches and butterflies to give a little texture.

I have some Stampin' Up! news for you!
As from next Wednesday 9th April, and each wednesday in April, there will be 'Weekly Offers' available! I have no idea what they are going to be, but keep your eyes on this space...I will update you as soon as I know what they are!

I became an auntie for the second time on Wednesday...here is a picture of precious little Evie!

She weighed 6lb 6oz and was born very quickly and easily! Her Mum went into hospital...an hour later Evie was born and 5hrs later they went home! Congratulations to my very happy brother and sister-in-law!

Pink and Pear

Hello!
It's time for a new challenge at CAS - Colours and Sketches and this week is this lovely soft colour combo...

Isn't it pretty? I decided to make a sympathy card as I am, sadly, short of them.

I have also made this card using up more scraps from on my desk...the branch and leaves, butterflies and even the aperture cut panel were just laying there...I'm finally getting through them!

The branch and the leaves are from the Bird Builder Punch and I've used the Petite Petals bundle and Beautiful Wings Embosslits. The sentiment is from Petite Pairs and I finished with Candy Dots (see, I'm even using them!)

Crosses of Hope

Good morning!
I had such a lovely afternoon designing wedding invitations with Jen yesterday! I have 3, possibly 4 weddings to cater for this year, so it was nice to sit and play with different ideas and materials. One thing we did discover, Tombow glue, available from my online shop, is perfect for attaching vellum to anything! It is actually invisible! I can see a lot of it getting used in our future ventures!

Anyway, you probably want to see a card right? Ok well then I might just spoil you!

This set of pretty Easter Cards is made using the Crosses of Hope stamp set. Now I know the physical set is retired, but the digital version on MDS is still available for only £1.50, and the best thing is that you can resize them to whatever size you like!

I teamed the crosses (which I coloured with my Stampin' Write Markers) with the sentiment from Blessed Easter, available from the Spring/Summer catalogue and finished with two of the tiny butterflies from Beautiful Wings Embosslits. I love the coloured card blanks I used in these cards...they really give that touch of spring!

Gorgeous rainbow wings

Good morning!
This is a very quick post before I go to work.

It's Saturday which means there's a new challenge over at Less Is More, and it's their 3rd birthday! And Mandi is back as a guest designer! How lovely to see her work again and HAPPY BIRTHDAY Less Is More!

This week they have gone with a rainbow theme. As soon as I saw this challenge I knew exactly what to do!

I used Gorgeous Grunge, lots of different colours and the Beautiful Wings Embosslits folder. The butterflies were die cut from card I stamped with Gorgeous Grunge to give the a blotchy look.

My idea with this card was to make the butterflies look like they had lifted off the ink spots on the card...almost like they were flying away with stolen colour!

The colours I used are Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Tempting Turquoise, Tangerine Tango, Old Olive and Elegant Eggplant.

I am also entering this into the challenge at Stampin' Celebration and this photo inspiration...

Right, must dash! See you later!

Look, no stamping!!

Good afternoon!
Yes I am a bit late today...I was out with the PTA last night and got in very late and quite drunk! My alarm went off at 8am, but I really wasn't ready to get up so I had a lazy morning!

As you know, I had a craft room revolution yesterday, gutting it and changing it to add more space and storage.

It started off like this...

As you can see, it's a bit short on useful storage and a bit messy!

So I emptied it...

And this is how it looks now...

I have much more storage, and I even sorted out some more stuff and had a bit more of a clearout! It was almost worth getting stuck in the Ikea lift for!

So, during the sort out, I found lots of little bits that need using up, mainly die cuts, so I have set myself a challenge this week to use them up! So here is the first card using up a card blank, a strip of Pool Party card and some die cut butterflies...

I embossed a line of crosses from one of the Needlepoint EFs.

As the butterflies were cut from Core'dinations card, I added some interest to them by sanding the edges and the embossed parts.

I am entering my card into the challenge at CAS(E) This Sketch
