Sketch Saturday #265

Hello Sketchers!!
How was your week? I have had a mad busy one with one thing and another! In fact, it is really late as I type this so I will be brief!

We have a new sketch and I had intended to use a sponsor digi image for this card, but sadly my printer has died, and I am waiting for a new one, so I have had to use a rubber stamp.

I have coloured my lovely LOTV image with Promarkers and Flexmarkers, and used dome random papers and bits of ribbon from my stash.

So here is our sketch for inspiration this week...

Let's see what you can do with it! :)
Right, I'm off! Busy day today!
Bye for now!

Sketch Saturday #256 with Stamp Fairy

Good morning everyone!
I hope you've all had a good week!

We have our new challenge at Sketch Saturday and here is my card...

I have used Mimi Stars from our fab sponsor this week, and coloured her with Promarkers. The papers and ribbon are some from my stash. The butterfly border is Martha Stewart and the letters are Sizzix Catty Corner.

The number is Die-Namics.

Here is our sketch...

I look forward to catching up with you all this week! :)

LaLa!

Good morning sketch fans!
Wow don't these Saturday mornings come around quick?!

Ok I have my card for our new challenge at Sketch Saturday, but I must apologise for the photo not being my usual style! I made the card for a commission, gave it to the customer, but forgot to photograph it! So I asked the customer to send me a picture and she very kindly did!

Now as you can imagine, this was a very specific commission lol! Anyway, image is from Google images, the letters are from Sizzix Catty Corner, the numbers are Die-Namics and the papers and ribbon are just from my stash.

Paper Plate Clock!

Hello!
It's half term here this week, but Keiran has had a bit of a cold so we've been taking it easy. We have done a little crafting together though, and Keiran even made a clock!

Would you believe that this is actually a working clock made using a paper plate, three marbles, a frying pan and some paint?! Quite simply, you put a paper plate in a frying pan, dip your marbles in different coloured paints and drop them onto your plate, then roll them around to make your pattern. We then cut out some Die-Namics numbers in matching colours and I then added the clock movement which I picked up on Ebay for about £1.
It was meant to adorn his bedroom wall, but it ticks too loudly, so it's in the hallway now!

Keiran wants to enter this into a challenge, so the only relevant one I could find this week was The Crafty Blogger's Network - Anything Goes

Ok...back shortly with a card from me! :)

Canary Love!

Good morning!
Yay the sun is finally shining! It's cold, but it's bright, and that's how I like it! :)

I have a nice girly card for you today...kind of more like my original fussier style of card, though still a little bit CAS...

I have used Canary Love from Saturated Canary...it's AGES since I coloured one of these lovelies in, but I loved it! I think it was somewhat helped by the fact that I now have all the original Flexmarkers, thanks to the fabulous Jen! She bought me them for my birthday yesterday! :) So now I can get the hair looking so much better!

I embellished very simply with a rose made from seam binding and used a Die-Namics flourish. The sentiment is Pink Petticoat and the coloured card is Stampin' Up! Pool Party, which I won from Cardmaking & Papercraft as my Advent Calendar was featured as their star letter!

This is what I won...

How cool is that? And it arrived on my birthday too!! :)

Fireman Sam!

Good evening!
I've got a card here I have made for my Nephew's Birthday next week. Apparently he is crazy into Fireman Sam these days so I thought I would use that for his card!

I found a colouring page on Google and coloured it with Promarkers. I kept the colouring fairly 'cartoony' without too much shading etc.

The sentiment was created in WordArt and the number is from DieNamics.

Thanks for stopping by! :)

It's Only A Game!

Hello my crafty friends!
Well I'm pleased to report that the charity event I had a table at today was a wonderful success, both for me and my cards, and for the charity. Which, by the way, is Children Today, who provide much needed equipment to disabled children for them to use at home...a very worthwhile cause and in need of much help!

Anyway, here is a card I made as a commission for an 80 year old Dad!

The image is a 'It's Only A Game' by Stamps Happen and is coloured with Promarkers and the paper is a freebie from my stash.

Challenges

Ok...I think I'm now going to have a nice chill out on the sofa and get my car insurance sorted! :)

Shopaholic Amy!

Hellooo!
I have here a card that was a last minute order...I sometimes wonder how I get them done in such a hurry lol!

Now I have Donna to thank for the inspiration... the brief I was given was 'shopaholic' and I happened to come across Donna's post as I was blog hopping and looking for challenges! I loved this image by Digistamp Boutique and thought it would be perfect for the card. I also thought I would try paper piecing...it's not something I am comfortable with, but I actually rather like this one! I coloured the rest of the image, 'Amy' and the '18' with Promarkers. The papers are Pink Petticoat.

Bye for now!

Things with Wings for CFAS

Hello everyone!
Well....I have been sooooo poorly the last few days :( I have had what can only be described as 'just short of flu'. Aches, shivers, cough, lack of appetite, shortness of breath...not good! I'm not 100% even now and I suspect it will be a while before I am, but I am back at work at least, so hopefully the crafting won't be too far behind!

Anyway, here is my DT card for our challenge at Crafting For All Seasons this week, which is
THINGS WITH WINGS
and we are sponsored by

Here is my card...

The gorgeous image is Little Dot Birthday Wish by Lili of The Valley and I have coloured her with Promarkers. The papers are Pink Petticoat and the ribbon is Club Green. I finished with a die cut number 2, some glitter and liquid pearls.

Less Is More #2

Good afternoon!
I'm sat watching Ice Age with Keiran, waiting for the diving to come on the Olympics.

In the meantime, here is another card I made on Saturday at Jen's, using one of her Stampin' Up! sets.

I also used her Die-Namics zigzag border die and my SU! markers. I also added some glossy accents for dimension, but they don't really show on here.
It is another entry into the Less Is More Sketch challenge this week, and the Card Crafter's Circle - CAS challenge.
Hope everyone is enjoying the Olympics! :)

Less Is More

Good morning LIMettes!
Well I have a relaxing weekend ahead of me for a change! Well, sort of! I have a special friend here from Spain so I shall be showing him the sites of Bolton! lol!
But I did quickly have time to make this for this week's Less Is More challenge which is to use their header as inspiration!

I chose to use the music part of it. The notes are cut using a Die-Namics (I think) die, and the sentiment is computer generated.
Simples!
If you have never entered this challenge, pop over to Chrissie and Mandi's fab challenge blog, have a go and become a LIMette!
Right, I'm off! Have a fab Saturday!

Rosie With Cake

Good evening!
I am back after a fab couple of days with my family...my brother, SiL and nephew are visiting from London and myself and Keiran have spent the last 2 days visiting Windmill Farm in Burscough and Tropical World and Roundhay Park in Leeds. We've had stunning weather and 2 really lovely days! I have, however, been ever so slightly freaked out by lots of mice, bats and a spider the size of my hand!!

Anyway, back to what I love...my cards! Here is one I made in a hurry for a last minute order.

This is adorable Rosie With Cake from Lili of The Valley and I've coloured her with Promarkers. The paper is MME I think, and the flourish is Dienamics.

Challenges

Thanks for popping by...see you soon! :)
