A lacy, sparkly butterfly Birthday!

Hello!
Wow I had such a positive response on Facebook to yesterday's card from so many lovely people; demos, friends and customers alike, so thank you so much!

I have used the same Something Lace stamp set as I used yesterday, but this time I made a birthday card with it...

I stamped the lacy background in Wisteria wonder before adding to my Perfect Plum card blank. I then stamped my sentiment from Remembering Your Birthday and die cut with one of the Chalk Talk Framelits.

How gorgeous is this butterfly?? It is the medium one from the Butterflies Thinlits Dies, die cut in Elegant Eggplant, which I then covered in Versamark ink and heat embossed with Iridescent Ice Stampin' Emboss. I love how sparkly it is in real life!

I really have fallen in love with this Lacy stamp....so elegant and it has a world of possibilities!

The weather is dreadful here today, so I am (hopefully) finishing the decorating over the next 2 days. I just have some white walls to do, then I can sit back and enjoy for a year or so! (or until grubby hands muck it all up again!)
I hope you have a lovely Wednesday!

Happy 300th Sketch Saturday!!!

Good morning!
It is the 300th challenge birthday at Sketch Saturday today! How incredible is that?! So we have a couple of special things happening today!

First of all, Sketch Saturday creator, Jo Edwards is joining us for today's celebration! It's so fab to see her here again!

Secondly, we not only have a sketch challenge, but we have a very special blog hop, with secret candy along the way! Simply comment on each of the DT member's projects for your chance to win! Winners will be announced next Saturday!

So here is the sketch for this week which was designed by Jo and was the first ever sketch...

Here is what I made...

I used another un-inked set for this card. I know it's not graduation season but I just thought this sketch suited the stamps perfectly! These are Pomp and Circumstance and are available in the new Spring/Summer catalogue.

I used stamped the images in Basic Black and Elegant Eggplant using my Stampin' Write Markers. The paper is Patterns Designer printable from MDS and I finished with Silver 1/8'' Ribbon.

Gorgeous Grunge, Six Sided Birthday

Good morning!
We have a new colour challenge at CAS - Colours and Sketches this week...

This is a very bright and cheerful colour combo, but as I used similar colours last week, I wanted to do something quite different. So I just took a Whisper White card blank and started stamping...

I stamped the background Crushed Curry using a Stampin' Block, then stamped over with Gorgeous Grunge in Elegant Eggplant and Perfect Plum.

The sentiment is made using Six Sided Sampler and Teeny Tiny Sentiments. The purple twine is from my stash.

Yesterday I told you about the 'Lent task' for the day, which was to apologise for something you have done wrong. Well it's sometimes hard to admit to being wrong, but I did. I apologised for being too impatient with Keiran more than I should be. Now to act on it!

Today's task is to Be More Giving - Put loose change into a jar and give it to charity at the end of Lent. Every little helps :)

Gorgeous rainbow wings

Good morning!
This is a very quick post before I go to work.

It's Saturday which means there's a new challenge over at Less Is More, and it's their 3rd birthday! And Mandi is back as a guest designer! How lovely to see her work again and HAPPY BIRTHDAY Less Is More!

This week they have gone with a rainbow theme. As soon as I saw this challenge I knew exactly what to do!

I used Gorgeous Grunge, lots of different colours and the Beautiful Wings Embosslits folder. The butterflies were die cut from card I stamped with Gorgeous Grunge to give the a blotchy look.

My idea with this card was to make the butterflies look like they had lifted off the ink spots on the card...almost like they were flying away with stolen colour!

The colours I used are Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Tempting Turquoise, Tangerine Tango, Old Olive and Elegant Eggplant.

I am also entering this into the challenge at Stampin' Celebration and this photo inspiration...

Right, must dash! See you later!

A Pretty Thank You

Good morning :)
I have a card I made relatively quickly last night, after I had posted my Hap-Bee Birthday card. It seems I had a stroke of creative genius lol!

I have used the Oh Hello stamp set from the Spring/Summer catalogue. The card blank is River Rock and I stamped the oval onto it before cutting an oval aperture out of Whisper White using the matching Ovals Collection Framelits.

The sentiment is stamped onto vellum and cut out using a die from Apothecary Accents Framelits, and I attached it using Crystal Accents, just under where the gems are. I finished with more gems, which were actually added to cover up one tiny little ink smudge!

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White, River Rock
Stamps - Oh Hello
Ink - River Rock, Regal Rose, Elegant Eggplant, Crumb Cake
Framelits - Apothecary Accents, Ovals Collection
