LaLa!

Good morning sketch fans!
Wow don't these Saturday mornings come around quick?!

Ok I have my card for our new challenge at Sketch Saturday, but I must apologise for the photo not being my usual style! I made the card for a commission, gave it to the customer, but forgot to photograph it! So I asked the customer to send me a picture and she very kindly did!

Now as you can imagine, this was a very specific commission lol! Anyway, image is from Google images, the letters are from Sizzix Catty Corner, the numbers are Die-Namics and the papers and ribbon are just from my stash.

Ok, it's going to be a very busy day today at work as it's Grand National Day...I would, if I gambled, put my money on Seabass...ran a good race last year so let's see how he performs this year!

Have a fab weekend and see you soon! :)

First Christmas card of 2013!

Good evening!
Well I went back to the gym for the first time in over 2 weeks today...ouch! Actually, I suppose it wasn't too bad! Glad I did it...it's kicked me back into eating properly too!

I did have a little time for some crafting too, and here's what I made tonight...

I have usually not stopped making Christmas cards as I sell so many over the stalls I do, but here is the first one for 2013. I was looking for some pre-printed DP to use for this sketch when I found this holly embossed panel. So I decided to use it, and also found the embossed strip! And the Poinsettia was all ready to use in another box from 2011 would you believe! So I just added them all together and made this!

I may use it as a template for some card packs next year as it was really simple and easy and would be even if I had to start from scratch!

Ok, I think I better go have a cuppa and chill for the rest of the evening...got lots of tv to catch up on!

A LIM Anniversary

Good morning!
And it's another Less is More Saturday!
I'm off work today and planning on going to the Manchester Christmas markets with my good friend Elaine later on.
But before that, I've made this (not so) little card to show you...

This is an A5 tent fold card made from an A3 piece. The theme this week at Less Is More is Anniversary, and the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches was just right for it!
I have used a style that Jen has used a few times recently, with the random pearls, and I've really loved seeing it, so I thought I would give it a go, and again, it worked perfectly with this sketch.
I am also entering this into CASual Friday - Even The Score.

Stampin' Up supplies used:
Stamp - Confetti
Markers - Regal Rose, Pool Party
Card - Whisper White, Melon Mambo

If you would like me to order any of these items for delivery direct to your door, plus have the opportunity to get loads of free stuff for yourself, please contact me on 07915 698577 or email me at lizyshouseofcards@mail.com

Another Mojo Wedding!

Hi!
Just a quick one this evening. You're probably fed up of seeing my cards with this sketch, but it just happened to be perfect for a few orders I had on, so here we go again! ;)

This time, I have used a Crafts Too embossing folder and some rings from Dunelm Mill. It's for a civil ceremony of two guys, so I wanted 'wedding' but not feminine....I'm hoping the grey takes the femininity away...

As I said, this is another for Mojo Monday, and also for the following challenges...

Night for now!

An anniversary and a wedding

Good evening!
How was your Saturday? I have had a busy one with work, dog walking and some crafting! And speaking of crafting, here is a card to show you...another one for an order...

I have created the sentiment on the computer and cut it out using Stampin' Up! Labels Collection Framelits. The 2 larger hearts are Sizzix and the smaller one is a punch. I added a lovely printed vellum I have in my stash to the larger heart....I thought it gave a softer finish and suited the occasion. The border is also Stampin' Up! and the embossing folder is Crafts Too, I think. I finished with some ribbon from my stash and some liquid pearls.

I also made a second card using the same sketch from Mojo Monday, also for an order. The sketch really works for the cards I needed!

For this one, I used an image of the Mormon Church in Chorley, as it is for a couple who worship there, although they are getting married in the States. everything else is pretty much the same as the first card.

I am also entering the first card into the challenge at Dynamic Duos which this week is monochrome
Don't forget, if you would like to order any of the Stampin' Up! products I have used here, please call me on 07915 698577 or email me at lizyshouseofcards@mail.com

Ok... time for a glass of red, and some homemade Christmas cake and stilton! :)
Enjoy your Saturday evening!

Sunflowers

I'm here with a quickie tonight...I made it a couple of days ago for a commission for a lady to give to her boyfriend after 6 months together...she specifically wanted sunflowers!

I used a Sizzix die for the sunflowers, cut the stems and leaves out freehand, and added the computer generated sentiment. I gave some added colour depth to the petals using Promarkers and my blender pen...I like the effect! :)

Shopaholic Amy!

Hellooo!
I have here a card that was a last minute order...I sometimes wonder how I get them done in such a hurry lol!

Now I have Donna to thank for the inspiration... the brief I was given was 'shopaholic' and I happened to come across Donna's post as I was blog hopping and looking for challenges! I loved this image by Digistamp Boutique and thought it would be perfect for the card. I also thought I would try paper piecing...it's not something I am comfortable with, but I actually rather like this one! I coloured the rest of the image, 'Amy' and the '18' with Promarkers. The papers are Pink Petticoat.

Bye for now!

A special 95th Birthday

Good evening!
First of all...a warm welcome to my newest follower, Traci...she sure does love her Cricut!

Well, I am hoping this is the first of many cards this week...I need a productive week as I have a lot of markets/stalls coming up!

I have made this one for one of our very dear customers at my bookie shop.

The papers are Soft Nostalgia by Hot Off The Press. The flower was made with the same papers using Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die, the leaves are Sizzix from Stampin' Up! and the ribbon is from my stash. I used nesties for the computer generated sentiment and the matt, and I used Antique Linen and Barn Door Distress Inks.

My card

I have used Lenny Notes 4 and coloured him with Promarkers. I used SU! Hearts border embossing folder and Sizzlits Buttons to finish the card. I kept it quite simple as it's been sent to Madrid for a very special guy, to wish him luck in his exams, the first of which were today...he thinks he's done well! :))

Red, White & Blue 3

Hello again!
Two posts in one day lol!
Well this is my last entry into Less Is More's Red, White and Blue challenge.

Very simply, I used the remains of the Daisies I used in my first LIM card this week as masks and chalked them.
Ok...off to watch Bones!
Goodnight!

Less IS More - Red, White & Blue

Good evening LIMettes!!
How are we all?
Ok, first of all, an explanation for being MIA in last week's challenge! I woke with totally NO mojo last Saturday, and then went on my holiday to Wales on the Monday so I never had chance to make a shaped card. And the reason I am so late this week is the same reason really...no mojo! But it came back today, hopefully for more than a little visit lol!

So here is a card I have come up with this evening...

The flower die is Sizzix Stampin Up! and the embossed edge is Sizzix Stampin Up! Edgelits. The middle of the flower is just a scrap of ruffled red ribbon I had lying around. I finished with 3 gems from my stash.
I have some ideas for more red, white and blue cards, so check back later this week! :)
Bye for now!
