An anniversary and a wedding

Good evening!
How was your Saturday? I have had a busy one with work, dog walking and some crafting! And speaking of crafting, here is a card to show you...another one for an order...

I have created the sentiment on the computer and cut it out using Stampin' Up! Labels Collection Framelits. The 2 larger hearts are Sizzix and the smaller one is a punch. I added a lovely printed vellum I have in my stash to the larger heart....I thought it gave a softer finish and suited the occasion. The border is also Stampin' Up! and the embossing folder is Crafts Too, I think. I finished with some ribbon from my stash and some liquid pearls.

I also made a second card using the same sketch from Mojo Monday, also for an order. The sketch really works for the cards I needed!

For this one, I used an image of the Mormon Church in Chorley, as it is for a couple who worship there, although they are getting married in the States. everything else is pretty much the same as the first card.

I am also entering the first card into the challenge at Dynamic Duos which this week is monochrome
Don't forget, if you would like to order any of the Stampin' Up! products I have used here, please call me on 07915 698577 or email me at lizyshouseofcards@mail.com

Ok... time for a glass of red, and some homemade Christmas cake and stilton! :)
Enjoy your Saturday evening!

A Sister's 50th Birthday

Hello!
I got a desperate message off my friend this evening asking me to make a last minute 50th Birthday card for her boyfriend's Sister...here it is!

Unfortunately, I can't say alot about this card! The paper is Jen's, Don't know where the EF is from, the yellow ribbon is from my stash, the purple from Ladybug Crafts Ink, Martha Stewart butterfly punch, and SU! Sizzix framelits.

Shadow Box wedding card

Good afternoon!
I am here with a wedding card I made for a commission, using a technique I found here. It is a 'shadow box' card.

I have used different sizes to the one on the Little Claire's blog though. I have used an A3 piece of card, and my folds are at 6cm & 11cm from the left edge, and then the same in from the right edge. I used a Martha Stewart border punch, and Sizzix Stampin' Up! Framelits for the aperture and the sentiment. The image is from My Craft Studio Simply Silhouettes, and the corners are Macarena Die from Memory Box. The ribbon and black Swarovski gems are from Ladybug Crafts Ink and the clear gems are from my stash. I made a box for my card as it's such a special card, but it would go into an A4 envelope, I think, as it folds quite flat.

I had a brief of Black and White, and to use artists Fabian Perez and Jack Vettriano as inspiration. My customer LOVED it!! In fact, he even paid me double what I asked for it, which really confirmed the card was perfect for his daughter! I love it when I get such a positive reaction to my cards! :)

Thanks so much for popping by for a peek! :)

Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells

Well I seem to be on a bit of a roll recently! Here is another card I have made today! I have also made another but it needs a sentiment and some extra bits which I have at home. I shall be heading home shortly after a fab crafting weekend with Jen!
Now this first picture is just to show the accident I had whilst colouring the edges of my image with my freebie Egyptian Blue Flexmarker from Harrogate......
Needles to say, I was a bit miffed! Anyway, thanks to the sketch I had already decided to use, I managed to rescue it, as shown below!

The image is one of Sliekjes fabulous digis and can be found HERE.
The papers are just from Jen's stash, one is embossed with a snowfall folder and the red is stamped with LoTV music sheet in white Brilliance ink.
Now I know the challenge shows 3 embellies, which I had added, but I personally preferred it without.

Promarkers - Chestnut, Terracotta, Raw Sienna, Berry Red, Crimson, True Blue, Sunflower, Almond, Sunkissed Pink, Ice Grey 5,4,3,2,1, Cool Grey 5, Black
Flexmarker - Egyptian Blue
