Happy Birthday Dad!

As promised, I'm here with my card that I made for my Dad's Birthday yesterday...

This is another one of my pre-stamped Lili of The Valley images that I am trying to use up! Of course, it is coloured with PM's and FM's!

The papers are some random ones from my stash called For Him by Papermania. The sentiments are a combo of a freebie from a mag and Stampin' Up!

Christmas Cheer

Hello again :)

Well, we got our snow at last! Unfortunately, it only lasted about an hour, and now we're back to freezing rain...oh well...I was excited for a little while!

So I have had an awful lot of cards on order this last month or so, including an order for 15 cards for a regular customer who comes to me every year! Here is one of the designs I have made for four of his 8x8in cards...

I coloured this gorgeous stamp (Christmas Cheer by Papermania) before stamping with my Stampin' Up! markers in Real Red, Riding Hood Red, Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green, Always Artichoke and Crumb Cake, though I only used Crumb Cake under the gold glitter. If you think it sounds like it's too time consuming, it really isn't! It only took about 9 minuted to colour and stamp...it takes me much longer to colour an image I can tell you! Though I must admit, I did actually stamp it 3 times before I got these four...once on the wrong card, once I didn't like the colours, and once I stamped off the edge of the card lol! 

I finished with some gems from my stash.

And here is proof it doesn't take that long...

A Golden Anniversary card

Hey crafters!

How was your Wednesday? I had a lovely day...gym, Keiran's Harvest Festival, chilling with Keiran and crafting...perfect! :)

And here is one of the cards I have made...

Another Anniversary card for my box...not specifically for a 50th Anniversary, but it would work well for it don't you think? 

A couple of unnamed embossing folders, some gold shimmer paper from Anna Marie Designs, a Papermania sentiment, and Club Green hearts. Oh and some organza ribbon from my local haberdashery.

First 5 pack Of Christmas Cards for 2012

Good morning!

Well I am back feeling very refreshed and ready to get on with crafting for my market after a fantastic weekend visiting very good friends in Holland! It was such a brilliant weekend, and I finally got chance to go inside a real, old fashioned, working windmill...something I have wanted to do for a long time!

Anyway, after dropping Keiran at school this morning, I came back and got straight into the craft room! Christmas cards were on the agenda this morning, and here is what I have made...

I have used Papermania Joyeux Noel papers, Marianne dies and some scrap ribbon from inside the shoulder of a shirt. 

 I am trying to come up with some designs for packs of cards, and so here is one pack of 5.

I quite like the simplicity of the cards, and they didn't take too long to make, once everything was prepared, so I might make a few packs in different colours and papers. It's a great way to use up some of the tonnes of DP I have lying around too!!

The image is Vintage Trappings from Wings and Willows and I decided to leave it uncoloured. The papers are Papermania Capsule Collection and the feathers and lace are from my stash. The pearlt were white and I coloured them with my black Flexmarker as I didn't have any black ones this size!

With Sympathy

Good evening all.

This is a sad card I have made. I made this card last night at Jen's using one of her Stampin' Up! sets and my SU markers. I then had a phone call from my Mum this morning to say that my uncle, her brother, had died. So I thought this would make a fitting sympathy card for me to send to the family, and so I added the sentiment.

I'm not sure what set of stamps this is as I left the details at Jen's lol! The brad is one of the freebies from SU! last month, thanks Vicky, and the baker's twine is also Jen's, from Ribbon Girl. The sentiment is from a Papermania set.

Well I can't believe it but another week has flown by so it's time for another challenge at Sketch Saturday!

Now when I saw the sketch it screamed 'girly, lacy, doily, pink!' Then I went away, chose my image, and realised it was for this sketch, doh! So I had to forgo the girly card I thought I was making for this, but you know what? I love it! I loved the image anyway and knew I wanted to use it...I just thought I would struggle with the rest...but I didn't! I didn't even know I had such perfect papers lol!

Hollywood Girl!

Good morning everyone!

Well whilst sitting here listening to the Brits on the radio last night, I made a red carpet worthy card!

 Of course, this is a Saturated Canary image (my newest obsession!) and, of course, she is coloured with Promarkers! The papers are Papermania Capsule collection and I used some shimmery paper, roses (silver ones coloured with PM's), ribbon, feather and pearls to finish the card. 

I'm not 100% happy with her hair. I must have spent 60mins of the two hours it took to colour her, on her hair! Oh well, other than that, I am very happy with the card! It's a keeper! ;)

With Sympathy - LIM sketch

Hello again!
Ok decided to quickly post this before I go to bed!

I made this whilst playing around with my newest SU set.

The set is from the new spring catalogue and is called Marry Me. As soon as I saw these gorgeous poppies I thought they'd be perfect for a sympathy card. I used Real Red SU marker and brown Memento. The sentiment is a Papermania one.


I am entering this into the Less Is More Sketch challenge, but I hope it counts...maybe I should have mounted it onto a panel first? But I like it one layer...it's your fault Chrissie and Mandi! ;)

Happy New Year LIMettes! :)

Here is my 2nd card for 2012, and a card for the Less Is More - Just One Word challenge......

The stamp is a Papermania one I picked up in the sale at The Range, along with 5 others lol! I used my new SU Stampin' Write pens to stamp and colour this in, then added a couple of Prima flowers and gems for dimension.

Oh and I chalked the edges of the panel. This would be a perfect card for absolutely any occasion for Mum as inside is blank!

My first Stampin' Up Card!

Good morning all!

I hope you are well? I am using Kim’s internet to post this card today as mine is down for a while.

This card is my entry into this week’s Less Is More Themechallenge, and the theme is Silhouettes. How gutted was I to read that on my phone yesterday morning knowing I wouldn’t be able to enter it until much later?! Anyway, here is the card……

This is my first card using Stampin’ Up stamps and ink. It is from the Forever Young set and is stamped in Memento Cocoa, but I then coloured over the leaves in Old Olive SU marker. The sentiment is Papermania.

And here are a couple of calendars I made Friday night whilst crafting with Kim……I must have been reading Chrissie and Mandi’s minds lol!

The first is SU and Inkadinkado stamps and the second is a fab Stampendous set called Kitty Silhouettes!

Right, off to the Barlow Institute for a Christmas market......wish me luck!

I hope to get online again at some point this week......
