There's Only One You!

Morning!
Not much time to chat this morning as I'm on my way to work...just thought I would quickly share a card I made last night...

I have tried a couple of things I've never tried before on this card....The first, and most obvious is the frayed ribbon. This is the Two-Tone Ribbon in Pink Pirouette from the Spring/Summer catalogue and it was already a little frayed when I opened it, so that gave me the idea.

The second technique is stitching....actual stitching, with a machine!

I bought the machine 2 weeks ago and haven't had the courage to use it! But here it is...not perfect, but then I'm liking that!

Supplies
Cardstock - Basic Gray, Pink Pirouette
Designer Series Paper - Subtles, Neutrals
Framelits and punch - Hearts Collection, Small Heart
Stamp - Vintage Verses (SAB)
Ink - Basic Gray
Ribbon - Two-Tone, Stitched Grosgrain

I am really loving the grey and pink combo, but then anything with pink is a winner lol!

If you would like to order any of the above items, or get your hands on the retiring products (some colours, watercolour pencils) please do contact me.

Right, I'm off! Have a lovely day!

Less Is More - Guest Designer!

Good morning LIMettes!
I am super excited this morning because I have been asked to be a guest designer this week at Less Is More for this week's challenge! Now, as much as I will miss getting up at 8am and quickly creating a card in 15 minutes, I have to say that I am sure I am enjoying a lie-in as this post publishes itself!

So this week the challenge is

SCALLOPS

I have lots of things with scallops on, so I am going to show you a few cards this morning.

Here is the first...

For this one, I have used Delicate Designs embossing folder which I think gives a lovely lacy effect. The sentiment is from Vintage Verses and I the ribbon is Wisteria Wonder Ruffled Edge. The clever thing here is the scalloped circle. It is made by using the Small Heart punch. Clever eh?

So onto the next card, which is for a commission...

For the background on this one I heat embossed the flourish from the Flowering Flourishes set. The sentiment is computer generated and foiled with Jen's Foil It machine, then cut out using the Labels Collection Framelits. The scalloped border was again created using the Small Heart Punch.

The final card is also for a commission and is similar to the previous card...

I made the scallops on this card using the Adorning Accents Edglits and the embossed strip is from the Adorning Accents Embossing Folders.

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White, Daffodil Delight
Stamps - Vintage Verses (SAB)
Inks - Daffodil Delight, Wisteria Wonder
Embossing - Delicate Designs, Adorning Accents
Dies - Adorning Accents Edglits, Labels Collection Framelits
Punch - Small Heart
Ribbon - Ruffled Edge

Colour Block Butterflies

Good morning!
I have a quick post here before work...I'm also waiting for my workshop order to arrive...hope it gets here before I leave for work!

So here is a card I made last night whilst I was apparently 'in the zone'! I wanted to combine a few challenges I've seen over the last week, a couple of which that are asking for something a little 'different', like 'colour blocking' and 'negative die'.
So here's what I came up with...

I have used the Elegant Butterfly and the Bitty Butterfly punches, backed with coloured card to use both techniques. I really like the effect too...real CAS.

The sentiment is from Tiny Tags and the border was made using the Small Heart punch. Lots of punches on this one!

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Raspberry Ripple, Calypso Coral
Ink - Basic Black
Stamps - Tiny Tags
Punches - Small Heart, Elegant Butterfly, Bitty Butterfly

As you've noticed, I've used one of the soon to be retired colours, Calypso Coral, on my card. Isn't it lush? If you would like to get your hands on the retiring In Colours, or any other Stampin' Up! products, please do contact me and I'll be more than happy to take your order!
