Oooops very late!!

Hi everyone!

Wow has it really be so long since my last post?? I have been so busy over the school holidays that I just haven't had time to get online! So yes, I am very late posting my card for CAS-Colours and Sketches this week, for which I am very sorry for! Still, better late than never right?

So this week is a sketch challenge, and here is the fab sketch...

I loved this sketch and knew almost straight away what I was going to make...

I used the Top Note Bigz Die for the panel, and topped it with little toppers made using Circle and Scallop Circle Punches and butterflies from the Beautiful Wings Sizzlits.

The sentiment is from Butterfly Basics and I inked it using my Stampin' Write Markers before stamping.

I love the touch of sparkle from the Silver Glimmer Paper behind the butterflies, don't you?

Birthday book!

Good morning bloggy friends!

How are you? I knew all that lovely sunshine wouldn't last...back to grey skies and drizzle this morning! Oh well...perfect crafting weather!

Today I have one of the commissions I made last week to share. The brief was 'books'...

This was one of the simplest cards to make, once I got the idea! I simply cut out lots of the Top Note die out of paper, folded down the middle and stitched, to give an 'old book' feel. (I printed the sentiment before cutting out)

I stamped the En Francais stamp on the right and to get it in just the inside of the dotted lines I first created a frame and stuck it on using Tombow that I had let dry first, that way it becomes re-positionable. I then curled the pages and used Dimensionals to keep the shape from falling when I stuck it down.

A very white card!

Good morning LIMettes! 

I have had a fab week in Edinburgh with Keiran and my parents...pictures are to follow, I promise!

But for now, Chrissie and Jen over at Less Is More have set us a challenge of making of a card using the colour of our front door! Hmmm....that would be white then!

So here is my very white card!

I have used the Top Note die to create the cute little purse, folded some Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon in half for the handle and finished with a Vintage Faceted Button clasp. Oh and the embossing was done using Lacy Brocade embossing folder.
