Botanical Z-Fold Card

Good morning to you lovely crafty peeps!
I decided that today I should show you something other than just those lovely ladies from the last few days, so here is the card and gift box I made for my very good friend, Sharon, for her birthday early in January.

I used Botanical Builder Thinlits which I inked up with sponge daubers to give a more subtle coloured effect.

I went for a Z-Fold card as I think they have quite an impact, don't you? I like to leave the middle panel blank to write my message on, but you could decorate it too.

I used several sentiment sets to complete the card and box, including Teeny Tiny Sentiments, Crazy about You, Endless Birthday Wishes, Hello You Thinlits and Large Number Thinlits.

I have some exciting news for you today too!

I am starting up my Stamper's Six club again! I will be posting full details in the next few days, but the basics are that you commit to ordering £25 of Stampin' Up! goodies from me per month, for 6 months, and in return you will not only get your products, but also a little gift from me! And the best bit?? You get to be the hostess once in that 6 month period and choose at least £15 of FREE products of your choice!

If you would be interested in joining, please just drop me an email at lizyshouseofcards@mail.com

Have a lovely day...I'm off to the gym now!

For our Anniversary

Good morning all!
It's another lovely sunny day here, and I have already been to the gym! So before I go to work I thought I would quickly share this card I made for my lovely Mike for our first anniversary back in July...

I saw a similar card shape somewhere online and decided to try and have a go. I used Hearts Framelits to cut the shape and trimmed it so it fit together.

Now, not many of you know, but Mike and I met on Tinder and if you like the look of someone you 'swipe right', so I used this idea to create a slider card!

I stamped the words inside so they would show through the window when the slider is moved.

A piece of Windiw Sheet popped on Dimensionals holds the slider in place. I used the Hostess set Happy Birthday Everyone and Teeny Tiny Sentiments for the wording. The tiny heart is from the Itty Bitty Accents punch set.

I hope you have a lovely day and I'll see you soon! :)

A sunshiney get well wish.

Good evening!
I know I'm a bit late today, but I didn't get round to crafting last night, so I made today's card this afternoon, especially to enter into a couple of challenges....

Less Is More, where the theme is 'Hello Sunshine', and Freshly Made Sketches....

Here's my sunny card...

I have used Kinda Eclectic again (getting my money's worth!) and stamped the 'sunburst' onto the shaped panel (from Chalk Talk Framelits), then lined it up and stamped onto my card too. I added some Crushed Curry Stitched Satin Ribbon across the panel and mounted it onto the new Delightful Dijon card blank. The shaped panel was popped up on Dimensionals.

I then added a pair of butterflies stamped in Rich Razzleberry onto Vellum, with a sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes, also stamped on Vellum. The card is finished with some Candy Dots from the Brights collection.

I have some TV to catch up on tonight, so I'll go now and catch up with you tomorrow with my DT card for CAS-Colours and Sketches.

Painted Birthday Blooms

Hello again!
Today is our new sketch challenge at CAS-Colours and Sketches, and this week is a fab sketch from Stef!

I love this sketch...here's what I did with it...

This was a very simply created card...I die cut the 3 different sized squares, then popped a piece of Painted Blooms behind it. I rounded off the corners of both my panel and the card.

The sentiment is a combination from Teeny Tiny Sentiments and Celebrate Today. I finished with 3 Basics Rhinestones coloured with Stampin' Write Markers.

We're looking forward to seeing you wonderful entries!

If you would like to order any current products from my online shop, please just use the link on the right! >>>>>>>

Have a lovely Thursday and I'll see you tomorrow with another New Catalogue sneak peek!

Stars for Dad!

Good afternoon!
Today I'm here with my DT card for CAS-Colours and Sketches, and this month it's Stef's turn to play hostess! She has started with this lovely colour combo...

I decided that this combination would make a great 'man card' so I used it for a Father's Day card...

I used stars because let's face it, all Dad's are stars aren't they?! I used Stars Framelits to cut the apertures in the top layer, then added different DSP's from the colour family paperstacks.

I then used one of the die cut stars and added a sentiment banner from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set and finished with a Candy Dot.

This is a very cool colour combo...what will you do with it?

Beautiful Wings and.....RETIRING LIST!!

Well today is the day we have all been waiting for...it's the day that Stampin' Up! release their retiring list of stamps, punches, accessories, etc, and you can get them at up to a massive 50% off!

There really are some surprise retirings (it's a word, honest!) in there too, which can only mean one thing....lots of amazing new products to come soon!! :D

In fact, I made a card the other day with one of the retiring Embosslits...Beautiful Wings. Want to see? Oh go on then!

The three squares of card have been cluttering up my desk for a while now, so I thought it was time they got used up! It is difficult to see, but I stamped the swirls from Everything Eleanor using Versamark and Clear Stampin' Emboss.

The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments and I used my Rose Red and Pear Pizzazz Stampin' Write Markers to ink it up.

Aren't these butterflies gorgeous? I truly will be sad to see them go...wish I had used them more!

Do have a little peek on my online shop and grab yourself a bargain...so many lovely things! Why not leave me a comment and let me know what bargains you picked up? I'd love to know! :)
Happy shopping!

A cheery Thank You!

Good morning!
Today I'm sharing my DT card for CAS-Colours and Sketches with you. We have a yummy, bright colour combo for you all today...

I really love how cheerful these colours are, don't you? Here is how I used them...

I started by stamping the Gorgeous Grunge 'splatter' in Versamark, then heat embossed it with Wild Wasabi Stampin' Emboss powder (retired). I then added a piece of Daffodil Delight Seam Binding and some Strawberry Slush Thick Baker's Twine in a random fashion.

The flower is from the Flower Patch set, and I punched it with the Pansy Punch. I finished with a sentiment from Teeny Tiny Sentiments punched with the Word Window, and a Wild Wasabi Candy Dot.

I used the sketch at Retro Sketches for inspiration...

So go get your crafty on and see what you can come up with. We're looking forward to seeing your creations this week!

Pretty lacy!

Hello, Hello!
This is a scheduled post, so I won't be able to fill you in on my weekend yet, but I'm pretty sure I'll have had an amazing time! I will tell you all about it some time this week though!

Today's card is one I CASEd from one I saw on Pinterest, but absolutely ages ago, and I have no idea where to find it now! (if it is yours I have CASEd, then thank you for the inspiration!)

I used Something Lacy for the background, which I stamped and heat embossed in Whisper White Stampin' Emboss, then stamped the butterfly from Butterfly Basics and die cut it with the matching dies. (the stamp and die bundle is available for 15% off when bought together...just click the Bundles link in the sidebar of my online shop.)

I took a small piece of Blushing Bride DSP and punched out the middle with the Elegant Label Punch. I stamped my sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes inside the frame, on my card blank, once I had positioned it, but before I stuck it down, along with the postmark. The frame was then popped up on Dimensionals and the butterfly was added, along with Basic Pearls and some Bakers Twine.

I do love this card, and although it sounds time consuming to create, it really wasn't!

If you love Stampin' Up! products as much as me, or are new to Stampin' Up! and would like to place an order, please click on the shop link over there >>>>>>
or feel free to contact me directly as I would love to chat crafty and maybe place an order for you!

Butterfly birthday wishes

Good morning peeps!
Today is Thursday meaning it's time for our new challenge at CAS-Colours and Challenges, and this week it's a yummy colour challenge.

I do so love this colour combo and decided it would be perfect to use with my Butterfly Basics stamps...yes, I am addicted to them!

I stamped my image in black Stazon, to make it waterproof, then coloured it with my Stampin' Write Markers and one of the SU! Watercolour Pens to help blend the colours.

I added two of butterflies stamped from the set and punched out using the Bitty Butterfly punch. The sentiment is a combination of two...'Birthday' is from Memorable Moments, and 'wishes' is part of the 'get well wishes' stamps from Teeny Tiny Sentiments. I simply inked each stamp with my Lost Lagoon Marker and perfectly positioned them using my Stamp-a-ma-Jig. Even though we now have Photopolymer stamps, I still used that fantastic tool loads!

I did use a couple of challenges for my inspiration...

Less Is More - This Makes Me Happy...I love butterflies and spring and flowers...they make me feel happy with everything, so I have tried to show that in my card.

If you would like to order any of the products I have used today, please click on my shop link opposite, or do feel free to contact me!

We're looking forward to seeing your entries!

Spring Flowers and butterflies

Good morning crafty peeps!
Ok, so I hoe you're not fed up of butterflies? No? Oh good cos here's another!

This card is a bit simpler than yesterday's, but still involves 2 butterflies. I die cut them from Calypso Coral and Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock (the latter being a bit of Core'dinations I had left). The middle panel was stamped in Pear Pizzazz with the hexagons from Butterfly Basics, then embossed with the Spring Flowers EF. I also stamped the same hexagons onto the card blank.

The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments and punched with the Word Window. I finished with Basic Pearls for a touch of added elegance.

These are the challenges I'm entering my card into....

*EDIT* I got Top Pick at Stampin' Royalty! :)

Creative Card Crew - Birthday with a Sentiment
*EDIT* I got top 3 at Creative Card Crew! :)

I hope you have a wonderful weekend with lots of crafting, family time, or whatever you enjoy!

Happy Wedding!

Good morning all!
I am quickly typing this after a very late night last night, and today I have a very long day at a craft fair! But for those of you who want to know, my date went pretty well last night, and I think there will definitely be a second date! :D

Anyway, it is Saturday so that means it's Sketch Saturday time! So here is this week's sketch...

I used the sketch for a wedding card commission I had, as I thought it would work well for it. The image was a freebie from a magazine years ago, but I used Fancy Foil Designer Vellum and 5/8'' Organza Ribbon from my online shop, along with Hearts Framelits, Word Window Punch, and a sentiment from Teeny Tiny Sentiments. This is actually a 7x7in card...a bit larger than usual, but not huge!

I printed the image onto Whisper White...isn't it lovely?

Like I said, I have a busy day today so I better get going! See you tomorrow if I have the energy left to blog! ;)

Colours of my bedroom for Less Is More!

Hi everyone, especially my new follower, Crazy Bird! It's lovely to have you here, thank you! :)

How is your weekend going so far? I didn't blog yesterday as by the time my paper craft class had finished, it was a bit late! I will show you what we made tomorrow :)

Today, I have a super quick card which is my entry into the challenge at Less Is More. It has been ages since I entered (at least 2 weeks!) This week is a colour challenge and the them is

Colours of your bedroom

My bedroom is mostly white, but my bedding is a lovely pink and turquoise, so I went with that for my inspiration.

I used two of my favourite stamp sets; Gorgeous Grunge and Petite Petals. I really do love them and they work so well together!

I used the 'random' stamping technique to create the background, using Tempting Turquoise and Melon Mambo, then stamped and punched the flowers. I finished with a sentiment from Teeny Tiny Sentiments and some bling.

Here is what I used...
