A male birthday card!

Good morning!
After yesterday's snow today is gorgeous and sunny! It is also back to school day...I'm going to miss my little man...we've had a lovely week off!

Anyway, here is one of the cars I made last week....a man birthday card!

As you will notice, I don;t tend to make a lot of man cards...I'm not very good at them, but I quite like this one! I first of all stamped my white panel with one of the stamps from Celebrate Today in Marina Mist. I then paper pierced around the edges of the Marina Mist panel using the Paper Piercing Essentials Pack and the Piercing Tool.

The letters were made using the Simply Pressed Clay, and once dried I used the same stamp to add some colour to them. I attached them using Tombow Multipurpose Glue.

I really like how this came out and I think I will be playing with the clay letters a lot more in the near future!

I used a sketch challenge for my layout today...

Match The Sketch - #60

I', back at work today and Keiran is back to school...normal routine is restored! :)
Happy Monday!

First Easter cards!

Good morning my lovely followers!
I am sorry for having been AWOL for a few days...apart from it being half term, towards the end of the week I got some sort of a virus and it knocked me sideways a bit and apart from the things I have to do, I haven't felt much like doing anything! I am feeling a whole lot more like myself now though, so I have a lovely set of Easter cards to show you...

I have used one of the lovely stamp sets from the Spring/Summer catalogue, Blessed Easter, combined with the Trefoil Cross from the annual catalogue.

The Blessed Easter stamp actually comes with gorgeous tulips as part of the stamp, which I will be showing you tomorrow, but for these cards I have only used the sentiment worked perfectly with the cross.

Isn't it a pretty cross? I can see that I will be using it lots, not just for Easter but for Christening, Baptism, Confirmation etc. I created a frame around my sentiment using the Paper Piercing Essentials pack. I think it gives it a little bit more interest and focus don't you?

My Superhero!

I am so late in entering the Less is More challenge this week! Still, better late than never right?

So here is my entry into the Masculine themed challenge...

This is another new set I recently bought...it's super great for kids' cards!

After I stamped the little fella in Baked Brown Sugar, I coloured in his cape and boots in Real Red and Pacific Blue. The sentiment was fussy cut and mounted on Dimensionals and I paper pierced the image panel to give some added interest.

Have a lovely Friday...make the most of it with your little ones...back to school next week!

A Wheely Nice Card!

Hello!
How have you been? I've had a lovely week away staying with our really good friends in Alkmaar, Holland. We had such a good time, and I really didn't want to come home!

But here I am, and I finally got into my craft room tonight and made 2, yes 2! cards. Here is the first one...my entry into this week's Less Is More challenge of

ROUND AND ROUND

I have used one of my favourite of the last Sale-a-Bration stamp sets. I stamped the Penny Farthing in Basic Black onto Whisper White cardstock. I made a frame layer and pierced round the edge with my Paper Piercing Essentials Pack.

I finished with a sentiment from the fab new Hostess stamp set Express Yourself.

If you would like to get your hands on any of the Hostess sets please do contact me for details of how!

I'm off to work now...the downside of the end of a holiday!
Have a lovely Tuesday :)

For you

Hello again!
Ok, I know I don't usually post twice in one day, but here is a card I've just quickly made to fit the challenge over at The Paper Players

The challenge ends in a couple of hours and I missed it last week...I like entering their challenges :)

I have used some of my new stash! I always thought paper piercing was easy, but wow it is so much easier with the fab Paper Piercing Essentials pack!

The pennant is from the Hearts a Flutter bundle, and the banner is from one of the free Sale-A-Bration sets. The heart is from the tiny tags set.
I am also entering it into CAS(E) this Sketch...I decided to copy it almost exactly as I loved the sheer simplicity of the sketch.

Other - Uni-ball gel pen, paper piercing tool
