A little love...

Hello everyone!
How have you all been?? I know you're probably reeling with shock at seeing me blog since it's been such a while! I have had a lot of family difficulties over the last few weeks and had a lot to deal with, but I think I am slowly getting back on track now, so I thought I would share a card I made on Sunday...it was originally made for a commission but I loved it so much I made a similar version for my stall stash!

This is a wedding card and I used some printed vellum I've had in my stash for years...I think it looks gorgeous with the Real Red hearts underneath, don't you?

I added some of the beautiful Whisper White Organza Ribbon and a few Rhinestone Basics Jewels and there we have a classy and elegant wedding card!

I am entering this into the challenge at Less Is More, which has the theme 'Congratulations' this week, and also CAS on Sunday where the challenge is to use Vellum.

I hope to be back again very soon...have a lovely Tuesday! :)

Happy Wedding!

Good morning all!
I am quickly typing this after a very late night last night, and today I have a very long day at a craft fair! But for those of you who want to know, my date went pretty well last night, and I think there will definitely be a second date! :D

Anyway, it is Saturday so that means it's Sketch Saturday time! So here is this week's sketch...

I used the sketch for a wedding card commission I had, as I thought it would work well for it. The image was a freebie from a magazine years ago, but I used Fancy Foil Designer Vellum and 5/8'' Organza Ribbon from my online shop, along with Hearts Framelits, Word Window Punch, and a sentiment from Teeny Tiny Sentiments. This is actually a 7x7in card...a bit larger than usual, but not huge!

I printed the image onto Whisper White...isn't it lovely?

Like I said, I have a busy day today so I better get going! See you tomorrow if I have the energy left to blog! ;)

Beautiful Birthday

Hello everyone!
I am really happy to welcome yet another new follower, Lynn! It's really lovely to have you here! :)

Remember the card I made yesterday? Well I had a circle left after I had made it so I decided to use it on another card, again using the Less Is More Sketch. Here's a reminder of the sketch...

And here is my second entry into the challenge...

This is a much softer card than yesterday's, and uses a lot of bits that were lying on my desk! In fact, the only new bit was the card blank! The butterflies are from the Beautiful Wings Sizzlits and the heart was from the Hearts Collection Framelits, which I embossed using the sadly retired Pretty Print EF.

The sentiment is from Express Yourself, stamped in Wisteria Wonder.

Have a lovely Tuesday!

A heartful Mother's Day

Good morning!
I am so excited to have yet another follower to welcome to my little blog! Hi Briggita! :)

I had a commission for a pretty Mother's Day card with the brief of red, purple and orange butterflies, so here it is...

I decided that as it was a first Mother's Day card I would do something a little special and different, So I used the large scalloped heart from the Hearts Collection Framelits to make the card blank, and covered it with some of the Watercolour Wonder paper from the Spring/Summer catalogue.

The sentiment was MDS created and die cut using another of the hearts Framelits. I then added butterflies from the Papillon Popourri stamp set, in Calypso Coral, Rose Red and Wisteria Wonder. I did add some Iridescent Ice but it's hard to see in the pictures.

Happy Sapphire Anniversary Mum and Dad!

Good morning everyone!
It's my parent's Sapphire wedding anniversary tomorrow so I decided it warranted something very special!

*This is a post of epic proportions - please do read through for instructions*

First of all, here is a picture of the whole gift...

Can you see the card in a box? That is my first one and I am quite pleased with it! So here's how I made it...

1. Take an A4 piece of cardstock and along the long edge, score at 7cm, 14cm, 21cm and 28cm. The little section will be your flap to join it together.

2. Along the short edge, score at 7cm across three of the panels. The one you leave unscored will be your back panel.

3. Fold along all your edges and assemble.

4. Cut 3 strips of matching card 9cm x 2cm and score 1cm from each end. Fold along each score the opposite way from the other. Attach inside the assembled card.

5. Use acetate to attach all your elements, always checking the card closes properly.

Silver embossed my elements onto blue shiny card from my stash.

The numbers are cut using Bigz Typset Alphabet and Glimmer Paper and the heart is from Language of Love.

The sentiment panel is made using the flourish from Morning Meadow and the phrase from Express Yourself.

A picture of the full card...

I also made an envelope. using my Envelope Punch Boadr, for their gift voucher and tied with White Organza Ribbon, decorated with another heart.

The final gift was a personalised bottle of Champagne!

I simply used MDS to design and print the label, then gold embossed the flourish from Happy Day!

I thoroughly enjoyed making these for my parents! Below is a list of the products I used...it is rather product heavy, sorry!
