Using up stash!

Hello!
If you follow my other blog you'll know that I have just re-organised my craft room, and whilst I was doing that, I found a few bits and pieces that I thought I would try and use up, rather than try and sell!

So here is one card made using Stampin' Up! products and some Prima Flowers and Card Candi.

I used the Woodgrain Embossing Folder and the leaves are punched from the Bird Punch.

The sentiment is from Express Yourself stamp set.

I am entering my card into the challenge at Fusion this week.

My Mum's Birthday card

Well hello there!
Yes, I know, I've been off for a while again! I have actually been crafting a bit this week and have 3 cards to show you, starting with this one. I've made this for my Mum's Birthday, which is a week on Monday, but I'm seeing her tomorrow so I shall give it to her then :)
I have used the Riviera Corner die from Memory Box, some Prima flowers, Martha Stewart butterflies and a brad and some pearls. The sentiment is computer generated.

Challenges

Ok...I'll be back in the morning with my Sketch Saturday card, and if I have time, maybe a Less Is More one as I missed this week's!
Night!

Colourful Ava!

Good evening all!
I don't want to jump the gun, or presume too much just yet, but I think my Mojo has finally returned!!
Here is a card I made tonight using my new technique, which this time I intend to stick to lol! I chose my image, then chose my papers, then coloured my image to match...the card came together far easier than usual!

Isn't she beautiful?! She is Ava from Saturated Canary and I've coloured her with Promarkers, and Faber Castell pencils for shading and depth. The papers are the Beach Babe stack, free with this month's Cardmaking & Papercraft magazine, the flowers are Prima,
the Baker's Twine from the Ribbon Girl, and ribbon is from my stash. I finished with a little Glossy Accents on the balloon and her eyes.

Challenges

Thanks for stopping by, and please keep visiting to make sure my Mojo is still around!

Thinking of my Auntie

Hello again!
Ooh 2 in one day you say? Yup! Been a while since I have done that when neither are DT cards!

This card has a personal touch for me...we have recently found out that one of my Mum's Sisters has lung cancer. So far, the doctors say it's in the very early stages, so they think it's cureable in 3 treatments, but it's still a worrying time for her and her family. So I have made this card to give to her, sometime very soon I hope.

This gorgeous image happened to be released by Krista at Saturated Canary the same week as we heard the news. So it has been coloured in since then, waiting for me to make her into a card! Isn't she a beauty?! I know she is designed for a sad occasion, but I'm sure she will bring much comfort and brightness to many people. She is free btw, just pop on over to Krista's blog to download her for yourself.

I coloured her with Promarkers, backing papers are Wild Rose Studio Butterfly Garden, Prima flowers, and the ribbon & pearls are from my stash. The sentiment is also Wild Rose Studio.

Challenges

Ok...better get to bed!
Night!

Mum & Dad's Anniversary!

Good morning!
I'm here with a card I made for my Mum and Dad's wedding anniversary. It's their 43rd anniversary! Wow!!

This card was made using Seaside Scene from Ooh La La - Passion For Fashion cd-rom. Fab isn't it?! I chose this image because my Mum and Dad had their honeymoon in Scarborough, and I remember them taking us to beaches full of sand dunes as kids. So I thought this was just right for them! :) The ribbon, doily and pearl are from my stash, and the flowers are Prima.

Challenges

Card Patterns - Sketch #158
The CD Sunday Challenge - Spring Has Sprung (with the weather this week, we should all have been at the beach lol!)

Thanks for looking everyone! :)

Good morning!
Here is another card for the Less Is More - Don't Scrap It! challenge.

I made another card last night using up these gorgeous Pink Petticoat papers, and these little strip were left! So I added a Prima flower that was already on my desk and here we are! The sentiment is Wild Rose Studio.

Magical Birthday

Good afternoon!
Yippee it's Friday! Though not as exciting as last Friday as I was on a train to Edinburgh this time last week...oh well...a crafting weekend ahead of me! Oh nope...forgot..I'm helping Jen with decorating the craft studio on Sunday! Ok...crafting before and after work tomorrow then!

Anyway, here is a card I've made today for a couple of challenges, one of which is Sketch Saturday #194...it's my last chance to enter before I become a Saturday Girl tomorrow! Sort of bittersweet as I love entering their challenges but I am soooo excited to be one of the Saturdays! Yay! :D

I have used the very cute and pretty Pollycraft Fairy and coloured her with Promarkers. I used a cream hammered card base and Pink Petticoat papers. I added a little glitter to her wings and Glossy Accents to her eyes. The sentiment is LoTV and the flowers are Prima. The pearls and ribbon are from my stash.

I am also entering her into these other challenges:
Thank you for looking today...I'm off to make pizza for mine & Keiran's 'Pizza Friday' night! :)

I have made this to enter into I-Spy Sketches 2nd challenge...gutted I missed the first one last week...just never got round to it :(

Mum

Happy New Year LIMettes! :)
Here is my 2nd card for 2012, and a card for the Less Is More - Just One Word challenge......

The stamp is a Papermania one I picked up in the sale at The Range, along with 5 others lol! I used my new SU Stampin' Write pens to stamp and colour this in, then added a couple of Prima flowers and gems for dimension.
Oh and I chalked the edges of the panel. This would be a perfect card for absolutely any occasion for Mum as inside is blank!
Ok off to work now! :)

Pink & Black Birthday Wishes

Good morning everyone!
Well yesterday I went on my motorway driving lesson, and boy am I glad I did! It's a touch scary! However, I did it and now I just need to keep at it and practice! There'll be no stopping now!
I have spent this morning making a card for a commission that I have to deliver tomorrow. It is for a lady who was running the stall next to mine on Sunday, for her 50th birthday, from her Husband.

The brief I was given was pink and black and flowery......I think I covered all 3 lol! The paper is from a freebie Kate Knight paper stack. The sentiment was computer printed and the flowers are Prima. I added beads & some free glittery stuff to make the '50' and finished with some black raindrops! The card is 8x8in and although I usually struggle to fill an 8x8 card, this one came together very quickly, thanks to the fab sketch!
Hope you like it!

Ta for looking......more to do now!

Oh Sit Down...

Good afternoon all!
I am at Jen's having a fab crafting day after moving her craftroom last night! We've just had a lunch break and watched the launch of the Ooh La La Festive Funnies CD-ROM on Create & Craft and seen my samples on there! I had my cards on TV! lol! All the DT at OLLCB had their cards showcased and they're all just fab! :)
Anyway, back to the point of my blogging......cards! Here is one I have made this morning. It's my first ever Gorjuss card. I love how my colouring turned out, just not too sure about the actual card. Oh well......it's done now and here it is......

This is Gorjuss Sitting from Sugar Nellie Stamps and is coloured with Promarkers (Crimson, Berry, Poppy, Sunkissed Pink, Almond, Marsh Green, Olive Green, Khaki, Umber, Warm Grey 5, 4, 3). The patterned papers are MME Bloom & Grow and the rest are from Jen's scrap draw. The flowers are also Jen's from Prima.
Challenges

I'd love to hear any comments on this card and how it could've been better.......I'm just not 100%  happy with it!

Pick a Square #4

Ok here is yet another entry into LIM - pick a square challenge.

Quite simply, I layered 2 Prima flowers, topped with a flower from Holland and mounted into the bottom corner with a swirl from a Nesties set. I finished with a sentiment from my trusty Papermania set. My aim is to try and make a card using each of the featured squares......3 down, 2 to go! ;)
