Best of Butterflies meets Gorgeous Grunge!

Hello everyone.
It's time for a new challenge at CAS-Colours and Sketches and this week it's colours.

I have used Gorgeous Grunge (again!) and one of the butterflies from Best Of Butterflies.

I stamped the butterfly onto Vellum Cardstock to try and give it the translucency and delicacy that butterflies have.

The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments.

This is a very simple card today that just sort of 'happened'! I actually ended up making 2 cards this time, as I stamped the sentiment in Basic Black instead of Basis Gray! Here is the other one...

Which card do you prefer?

If you would like to place an order for any of the current products I have used here, please feel free to contact me, or alternatively you can order direct from my online shop (the link is over in my sidebar>>>)

I'm off now...only 2 more shifts until Telford this weekend! (In case you don't know, it's where lots of SU! Demos get together and do training and crafting together...can't wait!)
Have a great Thursday!

Pink and Pear

Hello!
It's time for a new challenge at CAS - Colours and Sketches and this week is this lovely soft colour combo...

Isn't it pretty? I decided to make a sympathy card as I am, sadly, short of them.

I have also made this card using up more scraps from on my desk...the branch and leaves, butterflies and even the aperture cut panel were just laying there...I'm finally getting through them!

The branch and the leaves are from the Bird Builder Punch and I've used the Petite Petals bundle and Beautiful Wings Embosslits. The sentiment is from Petite Pairs and I finished with Candy Dots (see, I'm even using them!)

More stash used!

Hello all!
I have a lovely little card again with a scrap I found on my desk during my major tidy up! All I had to do was sponge some blue ink around the edges to create the feel of a scene.

I also distressed the edges of the image panel a little, mainly because one edge was a little rough already...way to rescue it!

The lovely tree is from Serene Silhouettes and the sentiment is from Simply Sketched.

I have used the sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch for my layout.

Simply Sympathy

Good morning!
Did you enjoy our Pinkies bloghop yesterday, showcasing some of our gorgeous new products from the Seasonal Catalogue? If you missed it, you can click here and see all the stunning projects we made!

Today, I have a card for you using the Simply Sketched set again...I have loved playing with this set this week!

Before I mention the image I just wanted to point out the lovely Sweater Weather papers. Although they have a really masculine feel to them, I wanted to show how they can work on feminine cards too.

I made the little bunch of flowers and leaves by stamping the first flower stem, onto the Naturals White cardstock, (which has a lovely speckled effect to it), then masking it off before stamping the second, minus the bud. I then masked off both flowers and stamped the leaves, also twice.
TIP: when you make masks for your stamps, don't throw them away. Instead keep them in the case with your stamps and they are ready to use next time!

Supplies
Cardstock - Naturals White, Soft Sky
Stamps - Simply Sketched
Ink - Soft Sky, Pistachio Pudding, Smoky Slate
Ribbon - Pool Party Seam Binding

Don't forget, you can order these items here in my shop, and if you use the current hostess code, found on my blog header, you will be added to my mystery hostess draw to win yourself this month's hostess credits!

Heartfelt Sympathy

Hello!! How are you all, my lovely followers? I am hopefully back in the world of blog after a lovely few days break. I took Keiran camping last weekend, then we went to Bolton's Food Festival on Monday, and today we have walked for miles and finished off with a lovely Indian meal, slightly spoiled by the entire lot of drivers from our local cab firm having a row in the very beautiful restaurant! Still, we got our meal free! ;)

So once Keiran went to bed, I decided to fit in some much needed crafting, and came up with this...

I have used the gorgeous Hostess only set, Simply Sketched and stamped it in Calypso Coral, then filled with Crisp Cantaloupe.

The embossed panel is created using the new Pretty Print EF from the upcoming Seasonal catalogue (available to order from as of 29th August...not long now!) I gently coloured the edges with Crisp Cantaloupe using a Sponge Dauber, as I also did on the main panel. I finished with a butterfly from Papillon Potpourri.

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White, Calypso Coral
Stamp - Simply Sketched
Ink - Calypso Coral, Crisp Cantaloupe
Embossing - Pretty Print EF
Punch - Bitty Butterfly
Other - Sponge Dauber, Stamp-a-ma-jig

If you would like to get your hands on any of the Hostess sets, or any of the new upcoming products, please do contact me for details of how!

A Backyard Basics Sympathy Card

 Good morning all :)
I hope you are well? As I typed this last night, I had a really upset tummy, and bad tummy ache...I hope it's gone by the time this posts this morning :/

So this is a quick post of a card made using the lovely Backyard Basics stamp and framelits bundle.

I used the Woodgrain WF for the backgoround panel and the sentiment is from Morning Meadow Hostess Set.

I finished with a few pearls from my stash.

That's all from me today. Thanks for calling :)

A Little Robbie & a Card

Good morning!
I am a little tired this morning after a really good night last night...more on that shortly!

For now, here is a card made using an image I had lying on my desk, left from when I made the large Father's Day order...

I had tried 'stamping off' this image to see how it looked; it's much softer than the pure black silhouette look, don't you think? The sentiment is from Petite Pairs but I re-arranged the layout to fit my panel better.

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White
Designer Series Paper - Neutrals
Stamps - Serene Silhouettes, Petite Pairs
Ink - Basic Black, Basic Gray
Other - Whisper White Baker's Twine

If you would like to find out more about the gorgeous Stampin' Up! products, or to order any, please do contact me and I will be happy to help!
I also hold Stampin' Up! parties and workshops, so if you would like to find out more, please don't hesitate to get in touch!

There are only 2 weeks left to order your retiring items so please don't forget to place your order before it is too late!

So...
Wow! What a show we were at last night! Robbie sure does know how to put on a show! And Olly was just fab too...he is a real entertainer. Robbie said that Olly is his successor and while I thought that was very big headed, I do believe he could be right!

Here is one pic from the night...

I will post some more pics later today, when I have sorted them out!
Bye for now!

Less Is More - Sketch

Good Morning!
I have to do this super quick this morning as I have to be in work at 9am! We're in our new shop now and we open half an hour earlier!

So this week at Less Is More, it's time for a sketch. So here is my card...

For this very simple card I stamped my flower from Love and Sympathy in certainly Celery and Blushing Bride (one of the new colours!) The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments and is stamped in Old Olive and punched out with Word Window, then mounted onto Elegant Label. I paper pierced the edges of the panel with the Paper Piercing Essentials Pack, and finished with the ribbon which I trimmed to the white thread, leaving it stick out for a bit of interest.

Here is the sketch...

Supplies
Cardstock - Crumb Cake
Stamps - Love & Sympathy, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Ink - Blushing Bride, Old Olive,
Punches - Elegant Label, Word Window
Ribbon - Stitched Grossgrain
Other - Paper Piercing Essentials Pack

If you would like to order any of these gorgeous items please do contact me...I'm here to help! :)

I had better dash now...enjoy your Saturday, whatever you're doing! :)
